Having done Caminos myself, I think you’ve made some very good recommendations. I found your story about the guy from Norway interesting. I agree with you. Part of the Camino experience (at least for me) is the ability to let go of things both physical and mentally. Very good insights Jess. The only thing we need now is more videos from you on your TH-cam channel. 😊
@@jessimoves That is very true. That’s exactly how I feel about making videos. Are you on instagram? I looked for you but didn’t find you. I thought I would follow you there too.
Your "Pack With Me" video is like a masterclass in organization. You make it look effortless! By the way, have you caught wind of the new v4 Bento Bag from NomadLane? Seems like a versatile addition to your travel toolkit.
Thank you glad it helped! I bought it in Australia in a store, but there are alot of similar ones online. If you want to look for yellow bucket hat terry cotton :) I absolutely love it.
I brought a suitcase with me as I was travelling after the Camino as well (send it forward to Santiago). As I checked in that piece of luggage I had no issues. I heard taking them with you as hand luggage is a hit and miss, that’s why there are so many walking sticks left in Santiago ☺️
Self guided, so I walked by myself. It’s very easy and doable, download the app to see the miles and routes you wanna do every day and info on sleeping options. I would always go for self organized! 🙏🏼
Thanks John! I linked most of my items in the description! It's from Decathlon, was very happy with it. I found 30 litres perfect for me, but I am more of a minimalist packer. It even survived a full hot washing machine wash after a bed bug infestation :)
I walked end of October and beginning of November. My day to day outfit was a pair of leggings and a t-shirt, in the morning and evening with a fleece jacket. So between 15-20°C, mostly sunny, I had around 3-4 rain days but nothing too bad. A medium thick sleeping bag that I needed (see video). Really recommend this time of year! Autumn on the Camino is great! 🙌🏼
To be honest I didn’t pack anything besides some nuts in case the post coffee shakes kick in :) It depends on the camino you chose, but on the Frances and Portuguese there are definitely places every couple of kms. No need to worry!
Hello! I wore a T-Shirt for walking during the day, a long fleece on top in the mornings or when it got chilly in the evening. Then a jacket that served as wind-blocker and rainjacket some days. Used this one when I got closer to Galicia and early November times. During the day the fleece was enough as well. So I didn't really wear the long sleeve. But every year the winter kicks in earlier or later, so best to check the weather forecast the week before you leave! Hope this helps and have the best trip! Buen Camino!
This is super helpful!
I love the simplicity and the usefulness of every single items!
The awesome yellow hat is catchy!
Where did you get it?
Thank you! I was absolutely going for simplicity. I got it in Australia I think at a shop called Cotton On. But it’s been years :)
Sunglasses are never a nonessential. Try polarized. They are fabulous.
Drop me any questions in here and I am more than happy to reply! Off to my next camino in a couple of days! Buen Camino and thanks for watching!

Aw thank you Pete for your kind words! Working on plenty of more videos, best way to revisit the Camino and keep the memories! :)

🥹 Thank you so much for this kind comment! So glad it helped! X
Good job. I hike a bit and you nailed the list I think, especially given you said you never hiked/walked before. Thank you!
Thank you so much! Yes I have to say I was so happy with my packing! Was thankful for every gram I left at home :)
about packing i say less is best... I carried my backpack all the way... I'm 81...
@@estellagutierrez4615 This is so impressive! And totally agree. Carrying your own stuff feels so good as well 🎒
Hi Jess! Love your video. I’m just about to go on the Camino in late October too. Where did you get your t-shirts? They look super comfy!
Very useful information….thanks a lot 👍🍷
You're welcome! Buen Camino!

Hey dear , were you able to take the walking sticks on the plane?

Great video! Did you have guided or self guided Camino ?

Did you need to pack snacks every day or is there plenty of places to get food along the route?

Hello, I'm planning to walk Oct 14 - Nov 9.
What jacket do you recommend? Should I wear long sleeves?
