Ajit Pawar may have risen within NCP, but not in MH state as a whole. A look at the numbers (Wikipedia) should say something.
Undivided NCP got 54 last time, and this time, total NCP is 51.
If anyone has risen is BJP and both the Shiv Senas. Undivided Shiv Sena changed from 56 to 87, with combined voteshare going from 16.41% to 22.3%.
Now, undivided NCP voteshare changed from 16.71% to 20.29%. And this could be mostly due to vote transfer of 3.45% from INC to NCP-SP.

Plz dont derive the conclusion about Ajit pawar's resurgence. It's this Saffron/ NDA wave that has tremendously benefitted him. Arora is talking as if he is next prashant kishore, but he is just lucky.
The guy you should talk about Fadnavis, Shinde n RSS. Has Ajit pawar sided with Sharad pawar, him/ Arora would have faced washbout
