I love how professional setup and style these guys take there work very seriously and that sets greatness
So true. I made a comment critiquing a video saying I didn’t think it was that good and told them why. Dude hearted my comment and told me that my feedback is greatly appreciated. I already respect for them but after that I have so much respect for them as content creators.

Astroworld is a no doubter to me, having tracks like stargazing, no bystanders, sicko mode (when they didn’t make it a meme) and having their own unique style and than having songs like Stop tryna be god, astro thunder, skeletons, and yosemite with that chill lay back vibe . I think that’s the perfect album when you can introduce all those sounds and make it how travis did.
Travis lyrics are so mid. His beats/hooks carry
@@alxgalvn fat fuckin cap. his beats and verses are top tier today for his type of music. When Utopia drops, if it's just as good as Astroworld or even better, it will make him a legend. no doubt.

@@Belac02 Hell no Travis is trash the beats carry like what A G said
@@yogicentralyt nah yall just hating ofc beat is carrying the artist y’all are delusional at this point Travis Scott has top tier flows and multiple and is at least not a one flow wonder like dababy and Megan the stallion
Circles and swimming were perfect. Truly amazing to see mac miller's progression from a young high school kid making fun stoner rap to making sufisticated high quality meaningful albums. RIP Mac 🙏
yeah but circles wasnt really a rap album, swimming was still but even then it was kinda leaving that genre a bit
Gotta be Swimming for me! Every song is amazing. Not a single skip
Alfredo, DAMN, IGOR, and DAYTONA are a handful of the most perfect albums we've received in the last few years. Every single one of those albums gets better with each listen and really has no skips.
King Vons welcome to O’block is the last classic album put out

I know it’s a newish project but Melt My Eyes See Your Future is perfect, literally my favorite album of the 2020’s so far

nah denzel is trash
And Walkin is my favorite track of the year so far. Denzel is unbelievably consistent
@@Perry.... Holy W, me too. Well The Heart Pt.5 might have it beat now but it’s too early to tell
Yup a classic album needs influence, a perfect album doesn't.
Musically or like starting conversations?
@@-Scrapper-definitely conversation > musically
I can count on one hand the number of albums that I would consider “perfect,” let alone just rap albums, but I can’t say I’d change much of anything off Circles. Even if its not a perfect album, its definitely the perfect send-off.

Songs in the Key of Life - Stevie Wonder
Ziggy Stardust - David Bowie
Marvin Gaye - What’s Going On
Nirvana - In Utero
Purple Rain - Prince
Kid A - Radiohead
For Hip Hop I’d definitely go Lauryn Hill (if u wanna count that) and TPAB. I wouldn’t be mad at 36 Chambers either
@@jimwarddeegin1417 those are classic and half of those aren’t perfect

Astroworld is the most perfect in recent years. Not a miss on it and it meshes amazingly together. If you don’t like Travis I understand not thinking this but for anybody that does, they’ll most likely agree with me

Alfredo, Mangers on McNichols, SIMBI, recent Injusry Reserve, and All My Heroes Are Cornballs+LP! are all up there for me
I'm surprised you didn't mention CARE FOR ME by Saba because its what put him on the map as a really great rapper from songs like FIGHTER and PROM/KING. The subject matter is very personal and deep as well, as if Saba wants you to emotionally feel what he's been through. It feels like Swimming x2 in my opinion.
W take
One of my favorite albums for sure, as well as Swimming.
To Pimp A Butterfly, respectfully.
Once I understood the concept and realized Kendrick pieced a poem into it as well that led to his conversation with Tupac; It is only right I play that album from the beginning til the very last second of it. No, it is not an album I play everyday. I listen to DAMN more than TPAB actually, especially riding in the car but if we are talking perfection. To Pimp A Butterfly is really in that conversation for me. Along with Ye Graduation, Eminem The Eminem Show (I’m not even an Em fan), Lil Wayne Carter II, Jay Z BluePrint, Nas Illmatic, etc.
It’s just my opinion; I’m a little old school, too.
not old school just kinda basic
@@aerpods Obviously you’re no hip hop fan, basic? I mean I dont think that every old schoo project was gold, of course many albums don’t aged well, but Paid and Full, Marshall Matters LP, Illmatic, 36 Chambers, Paul’s Boutique, Stankonia, The Black Album, All Things Apart, Madvillain, The Low End Theory are perfect albums, timeless masterpieces, so you’re wrong... BRO!
@@goh02 he didn’t say any of those albums though man 🤷♂️ if he said those i wouldn’t have said basic
@@aerpods You don't understand before you attack like a Rottweiler ,sweetheart the albums Bam Jones said should be on the basic footnotes of a fine-tune,well filled palate hip-hop listener.
Rakim,Nasty Nas,Mf DOOM,Slim Shady,Wu -Tang,Jay-Z,Immortal Technique along with two dozen other artists have created the finest hip-hop albums out of the hundreds of thousands of motherfuckers in the genre.
Gotta be honest, I feel blueprint is just alright as an album - reasonable doubt is leagues ahead for me
Dope session! You guys debate so smoothly. Highly commendable
I like this video a lot, very hard to choose. Astroworld and KSG are both No skip albums for me, but I would probably go Astrowrold, as I think it is a complete album in which every song makes sense and has a purpose. Love the vids, keep up the grind 🔥
Magic for me was almost perfect 9 amazing NaS songs, no skipables ❤️ ❤️❤️
astroworld has 0 misses
lmao
I'm glad Lu brought up the possibility of a perfect release not selling many copies or not needing 5 years to be solidified as perfect because an album that fits that perfectly for me is Free Weezy Album by Lil Wayne. To me, it's not a classic because it doesn't check the boxes that I feel like a classic album requires (such as being culturally relevant for years to come and being a subject of influence on either the genre or artists), but it's surely a perfect album, one of five 10/10s i have out of almost 500 albums listened to.
However, on the flipside you have an album like ASTROWORLD. I like this album and think it's solid but not amazing or perfect for sure, but it's a big enough album both saleswise and relevancywise that it's definitely a classic album. It's probably a little early still, but the album cycle has been far gone but the album is still a huge milestone in hip-hop's history. It's definitely gonna be a classic if it isn't already one.
Kids see ghosts is perfect imo. Having only seven songs leaves little room for error.
EARL SWEATSHIRT - SOME RAP SONGS 🤷🏿♂️
I can’t wait till these guys get 100k subs
The last perfect hip hop album we got imo (other than SIMBI) was either Circles or Igor. The last perfect album in general imo was probably Red (TV) or Silk Sonic and it's funny that both of them came out on the same day.
i personally don’t consider circles and igor as hip hop but they are both perfect
Since nobody mentioned it I will…VICTORY LAP, is the perfect album. No skips, content, perfect amount of tracks, substance, production, thee whole package.
Naww
I agree
Tru...really slept on
mr morale and the big steppers is coming ya'll...thats gon be a perfect album.
Lower them expectations bruh, it's been 5 years, nobody has no idea how this is going to be.

@@kongking1877 I'm super excited but the closer we get, the more worried I get. Like, we actually bout to get this shit lol. At this point, I don't care of this album is his best or his worst or in the middle, for the most part I just want the album to be worth the 5 year wait FIRST, THEN, over time we can talk about where it ranks
@@thedon0516 Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.
K-dot might make a perfect album for himself, ten years later,he might think ,this album encapsulates me.It might not be perfect for others, cause K-Dot hibernation/alienation for introspection of his tainted soul might not fit you,Kenny is a legend,he produces art for hip hop every time ,yet I dont fuck with Mona Lisa though .
You know what I'm saying ?
Well what’d you think
Perfect to me means ZERO skips. And I don’t mean like it’s a song that you like and don’t skip it. I mean like it’s a song that you can recall when someone says the title, or where a single line or verse or chorus sticks with you well after the 5th listen
Flowerboy
Kids See Ghosts
Saturation II
Are three that come to mind
Saturation ll definitely has skips

I’m be honest I’m surprised y’all mentioned “RUN THE JEWELS” 💎 I feel they are so underrated be it the fact their music is in the trailer for Black Panther back in 2018

Ka - Descendants of Cain. It's a very different style of rap, but it's absolutely perfect for what he was aiming to achieve.
We Got It From Here... Thank You 4 Ur Service gets mad forgotten.
Perfect album to me.
For me the last perfect hip-hop album i’ve heard was from 2020 by Boldy James & Sterling Toles - Manger on McNichols
I’d say Donda and I can tell 2-3 yrs from now everyone will talk about that summer 21’ rollout
rollout was cool, lots of good tracks also, but the album is WAY to long
The “rollout” isnt gonna matter to anyone who didn’t experience it. The only thing that should matter is the music. Only kanye fans do this.
Hell no and I’m a massive kanye fan, probably his most boring album ever
True not everyone will say this a classic but personally for me this will be memorable. Def a long track list and can be shortened but the standout tracks are phenomenal
@@chandler119 definitely, this era of ye is wack, everything seems rushed and all over the place. it lost the quality that we've seen before

Some Rap Songs to me is genuinely perfect.
Agreed
Ik lot of people don't talk about it but Alfredo by Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist is almost a perfect "rap" album. At first listen I through it was a solid record, nothing to crazy about it but as soon as re-listen months later I was blown away on how smooth the quality of the album it really is. Also I do think Little Simz last record SIMBI is the last "perfect" rap album that we got so far in the 2020s
Isn‘t Alfredo just 7 songs? Imo that‘s too short to call it an album 🤔
@@Citygbb what would it be then
@@jarrettross541 felt more like an EP but u know that‘s just my opinion I think an album should have at least 10 songs to call it an album..
@@Citygbb it has 10 songs on it lmao and a extended play is 2-5 songs and less than 30 mins
@@Citygbb It's 10 songs, if you wonna count the vinyl version, it comes with an extra track and that will be 11 songs in total
Melt My Eyez has no flaws
It’s up there for sure
Man I just don’t see it on IGOR. I feel like I’m missing out because everyone talks how great it is and I just do not feel that album at all. It doesn’t keep my attention.
The most recent PERFECT album for me was All My Heroes are Dead by RA the Rugged Man. That album was actually nearly perfect. At first I gave it a 9 or so, but with time I'm giving it a 10. The only reason I couldn't give him the 10 was because of the beat selection but the album was meant to have that sounds so there it is. No wasted bars. No apologies. Purposeful. A perfect return, and better execution than before. All that.
Most definitely needed this one!
This episode is already a classic!!!!
I'm a tough critic. Probably the last truly perfect album that is widely known in the genre would be To Pimp A Butterfly. But the five that come to mind that are damn close that came out post TPAB are Rodeo, Luv is Rage 2, TA13OO, and Igor. My personal preference would also include Please Excuse me for Being Antisocial, but that's a bit of a hot take when it comes to "musical perfection".
Nah u actually right with PEMFBA that was a 10/10 imo from Intro to War Baby no misses
I am not a tough critic, but I do think there's no such thing as a downright perfect album, idk it just rubs me the wrong way to say an album is perfect when someone else might think there's like 3 skips on it, or even the artists themselves think they could have implemented something better, it just comes down to what you like, how well the album is executed, how coherent it is, and especially how much connection you have to the album. For me personally projects like TPAB, Rodeo, MBDTF (and like 5 more but I'm not gonna name every single one lol) are perfect cause I wouldn't change anything about them, but some people might not like them at all so yeah idk 😅
Luv is Rage 2 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
No way bro said luv is rage 2 😂😂😂
Honestly i agree with the Roddy album. It's so fucking good and catchy. Honestly AOTY when released
I'm so glad other people think kids see ghosts is perfect
Last time I experienced a WOW moment while first consume an album, it would be 2014 forrest hills drive
These two are the best at what they do and it’s not even close 👏🏾
U know how back in the 80s and 90s there used to be those underground radio stations with guys that would talk about rock music? U guys are that for rap/hip hop. True students of the art
To be fair I didn’t listen to the little simz project but for me it’s call me if you get lost. For me it’s flawless and was a breath of fresh of air for Tyler to return to a more rap based album, while also utilizing the mastery of the production side hes developed over the years.
so glad you guys mentioned "sometimes i might be introvert"

DONDA is probably the last perfect rap album we have gotten imo, all songs are a bop except like tell the vision but that was totally a joke not gona lie, It has its hard songs (off the grid, heaven and hell, etc.), its chill relaxing songs (24, Moon, Keep my spirit alive, etc) and it has its other amazing songs that dont really know where to put them, and the deluxe version, man it has some of the best songs that kanye has ever made, like life of the party.

IGOR, CMIYGL, Daytona, KSG, and Off Season immediately come to mind

I disagree but it's all good tho, I respect your opinion, me personally I think it's easily some of their best work. Every track has so much soul and I wouldn't change much about them, maybe make them a bit longer since some of them are too short (but again the whole album is short af lol).
