I grew up with that gas one cylinder engine, it was used as a water pump that sucked water from a 500 feet way and then pushed it another 250 feet to a 500 gallon tank. Dad started it every Saturday and mid week. It supplied water to our farm.

That little Divco: I remember seeing those things in use in the 1960s, and I remember them being a lot more rotted while still on their milk route. They were cooled with blocks of melting ice, so rust was a fact of life.

The really big sink @ 12:53, Silas, I'm not making fun of you, maybe as you are young you wouldn't know what really is. Notice the valve on the left side of the "Sink" a pipe would connect to that and run down to the other side, which was usually a bracket. OK, It's not a sink but a Urinal! Very typical in the military, movie theatre restrooms, etc. The pipe was supposed to provide a low flow of water and ran all the time but most of them would harden with scale and quit working. It's a urinal!

I knew a piano tuner who used to buy and destroy old upright pianos because they are impossible to tune once they've been exposed to extreme cold and heat. If he saw those pianos he'd lose him mind. Customers would have one and decide to tune it after decades so their grand child could take lessons and they refused to believe him that they simply could not be tuned.

I used to deliver cigarette machines from 2001- 2007. Very heavy and awkward machines. The place I worked for let me take all the cigarettes out of over 40 machines before I took them to the scrap yard. I had close to 1500 packs of smokes and sold them or gave them away. Was so fun to push them off the back of the truck at the scrap yard.

It's a good thing that all that stuff is in your neck of the woods otherwise I would be real tempted to spend money that I shouldn't be spending. Our local museum in Evansville, Indiana has a black horse drawn hearse on display as well as an old horse drawn fire wagon that firemen used over a hundred or so years ago. I just can't believe the huge variety of stuff in and outside of all those buildings. Thanks for the video tour Silas. I really enjoyed it.

Hi Silas, greetings from Dearborn Michigan it's nice to see all of that stuff in unrestored condition. We're lucky that Greenfield Village and Henry Ford Museum is in our back yard so we get to see some of those things fully restored. But to see them in natural condition is so rare. If you ever get a chance to visit the Detroit area you have to check them out. Keep those adventures coming and good luck my friend.
