I starred of the same a handful of hot wheels, now we have way over 200 hot wheels and counting. We also built a hot wheels rack last year which now holds the coolest cars. Build what you feel you enjoy. Keep well and we enjoy your videos.
That was an awesome build. I started collecting Hot Wheels for my son when he was born, he is now 33 years old and plans to carry on the tradition and pass them to his son who is now 3 years old. I plan on doing this build to get them out of the boxes they are stored in. Thank you so much for the inspiration. Great change of pace.
@@mplussant downhill slope, exactly what i was thinking, (and what i did, as a kid). These days I'm just happy to watch die-cast racing on YT. (3dbotmaker is the best)
This is cool, I have been wanting to do something like this for my 4 year old grandson. He is a huge NASCAR fan and has many hot wheels. Since I am a truck driver, I'm going to add a picture of me in the drivers seat.
Loved this build. My son and I collected 3 3/4” G.I. Joe action figures from the 1980’s and I’ve often thought of building a display with easy access for our large collection. This is just the inspiration I need! Thanks!
I've made plenty of these, my self, Jean.. they're fantastic, and you can add all sorts of vehicle to the front 5 add-on trailer after the trailer, too.. brilliant work as always
It's a very nice looking project for a small child, I can just imagine if I were playing with it I'd want to wheels to turn around... LOL... so I hope your child grows to enjoy it and it becomes a fond memory of his childhood. You're such a great dad! As for the question you asked about the channel content, because people joined to watch your shop oriented projects you should be true to that, but on the other hand, some projects like this time to time is great too... I'm sure you'll need things along the way, or have requests to making things that will naturally be part of life. So pls, have no worries about including them. BTW: I don't collect cars but I still found this video informative how to make storage grids. The key piece of equipment was your trenching feature of your miter saw. I don't have that, I have to compound miter and it's not a slide, so that's a good reason to upgrade my miter saw... and I think the trenching method looks like the way to go. So when I have a project that needs that, it's time to get one! Thanks a bunch.
Amazing work, Jean! Nicely done!!! 😃 I don't know if you ever saw, but now there are rc micro cars as well! Not much bigger than a Hot Wheels! Some of them even come with an FPV camera, goggles and transmitter! Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
This is a nice change from shop organization. Being a HW collector myself, May I suggest a plexiglass cover for both this and your carded display? Having to dust each car and shelf is more tedious than sanding and can ruin the unprotected wood and cardboard backers on the blister packs (lessening the value).
heya Jean, I have about 120 of these little hot wheel karretjies that I collected when I was young and lived in the netherlands. maybe you would like to build me such a nice shelf. I will be forever grateful to you. ( Little Joke ) but a good idea for the future to build such a shelf. thank you for this encouragement. greetings from germany.
A way to “keep them organized.” Hahaha 🤣 Obviously, Jean, you will find out that kids rarely follow our adult sense of organization. For example, if more than one car can be placed in a section, then it makes sense to a kid (at least my kid) to cram in 2-3 cars. It’s fun to see you excited about sharing a love of cars with your son.
I’m always amazed at how creative you are with any of your projects. I got to know, do you draw most of these up in detail plan form before you being, or mostly just wing it? Either way, it seems they always turn out just as you had them in your mind. Great work and I sure wish I would have been into wood working when my two boys where young, it would have been a lot of fun. Hopefully your Son will pick up the hobby from you.
I’m thinking of doing something like this for my Matchbox and Hot Wheels I played with in late 60’s, early 70’s. I also had wood blocks with windows and doors printed on them that allow you to make businesses, a church and houses. Spent a lot of hours with my cars and town. Being wood, this could be a project you could do for your son. Side note, would French cleat be a way to hang your display?
Very nice. Do you have creative idea for carded hot wheels display? I have a combination of carded and I carded in my collection, mainly because lots of them are bought at bootfairs and I just like random ones (or ones that replicate the actual cars I own or owned)
nice design... im just wondering what happened to the all in one workbench? i see u broke down everything.. or is this an old video recording before the bench?
Please check your email spam/junk folder. If you have not received the plans please contact site admin via admin@thewoodworkersplans.com they will send you a replacement link.
you only built this so you had an excuse to open them all and play with them yourself.🤣hopefully they won't be too worn when your son wants to play with them.
Definitely more of these builds! It keeps the channel fresh and sparks inspiration for a lot of different projects. Big fan over here!
He's a very lucky lad. Loved this project.
Def more of the toys and whatever creative stuff you have! We love it!!

I’m positive your son will enjoy 😊
😮 beautiful love it
My daughter would absolutely love this, she is hot wheels obsessed lol!!!! 🤯🤍❤️
"Incredible Awesome" is you kind Sir. Thanks to you. for your talents galore. ❤It!

All hot wheels cars should be opened and played with! Fight me YT commenters! LOL!
Buy dupes…
Agree100%. As a kid, I even played with the Tamiya models I built. The best thing to do with Hotwheels is build a track and let them race.
@@charl_k …they won’t race on their own…you have to push then…or set them on a downhill slope…

Everything for family family is everything
That was an awesome build. A mix of builds like that with the normal videos would be good.
I am 100% sure there is going to be another addition to this truck, seeing that all the compartments are already full!
This is cool, I have been wanting to do something like this for my 4 year old grandson. He is a huge NASCAR fan and has many hot wheels. Since I am a truck driver, I'm going to add a picture of me in the drivers seat.
Definitely do more of these videos can't wait for the paint organizer video
Good looking build for a boys bedroom.

Great build for a boys room
Do what you fel like ! Love your creativity
One small change I would make would be to screw the backing to the outer frame from the inside. No holes, no need to paint the screws
I've made plenty of these, my self, Jean.. they're fantastic, and you can add all sorts of vehicle to the front 5 add-on trailer after the trailer, too.. brilliant work as always
Awesome video bud!
ahh found the car storage.. love the build but also the simplicity of it. nice.

That was really different and I loved it, keep it up !!!
Have you decided not to rebuild your all-in-one workbench? Was looking forward to that build series.
I am working on it. I hope to start soon.
Nice selection of cars. Very nice!

Great job
And now it is necessary to make a trailer for next cars ... 😁
Buy 2 of the same car one to play with and one to collect.🎉

I'm 57 years old and I still have a Hot Wheels collection, ha ha 😂
Excellent, would love the plans, how can I get them. I have 2 grandsons who love hot wheels
nice design... im just wondering what happened to the all in one workbench? i see u broke down everything.. or is this an old video recording before the bench?
I broke it down because I want to build a revised version of the bench.
where did you get that massive roll of plastic sheeting? I have been looking for some
Google search, Could be painters plastic sheeting or clear plastic packing roll.
Good morning
Tried to get your plans but it said not available
The site is currently down. We are working diligently to get it back up and running.
You should arrand the cars in colour order, replicating the SA flag as close as possible!!
I paid for plans but have not received how do I get them
