In this video I make a really big display for my Hot Wheels and other 1/64 scale diecast. It holds 216 cars!😱
This has got to be the biggest display ever made on TH-cam. Let me know what you think in the comments below.
All hand made out of 1/4” MDF wood and 3/4” pine wood.
I cut everything on my tablesaw and my miter saw.
The compartments are 3-5/8” x 1-1/2”
The dimension of the whole display case is 48” x 33”
This thing is HUGE! Can’t wait till fill it up with all my favorite pieces. Give the video a thumbs up 👍🏽

You inspired me to start collecting Hot Wheels again. When I was younger, I was more into the Jada Toys and DubCity cars but always had Hot Wheels too. Gonna collect them for me and give some to my nephew when he gets older. Awesome work!

AWESOME build. The only thing I would do if I were you... is get plexiglass a cover each one. My collection gets major dust on it. and unless you like dusting your cars... which I don't... loose ones should get the plexiglass shield treatment. That would eliminate unnecessary handling of the vehicles and wear and tear on the tampos and paint finishes.

The strips are just about 1-1/2” wide. To cut a grove into them, I cut about 3/4” between all the strips. I always play with the dado stack blades to get the right depth. You just have to see how far deep to cut to get them to cross with each other.

I love the huge display, es chingón, but hard to ship. If you can make a smaller 4x3 version (12car case), I'd buy. But it needs the Rivera mark stamped on it. Like a hot stamp / cattle brand on the top.

I tried to look in the comments but didn’t see any1 ask.. What’s the table saw set to when your notching out your vert/hori slats.. ? I can’t seem to get the mesh proper.. Doesn’t sit all the way down to the back board... Thanks man for any info.. !! Amazing videos also BTW... !!

Hola compa, hice tu proyecto y quedó muy chingón. No perfecto, sin embargo muy bonito. Use MDF de 3 mm para los separadores y funcionaron bien, aunque difícil de intercalar. Las medidas, como dijiste, son al gusto de cada quien. ¡Felicidades por tu canal!

Fantastic work and amazing collection! Perhaps you should consider selling these as self assembly kits? Mind you, with the cost of wood these days, that’s like a $2500 display case!
Wood cost is still sky high. Ridiculous. I use to do custom orders. Not anymore. Again because of the cost of wood and no spare time either. Thank you for comment 👍🏽👍🏽

@@RiverasHotWheels ponle entonces un stain y poliuretano, para que resalten los carritos , porque la verdad se confunde el color natural y se pierde el color abstracto de los carros , pero bueno ,para gustos colores . Es mi opinión saludos.

Silly question but after you tape the slats together.. how do you know the depth of cut for the slits, seems like more than half of the width..
I always do test cuts and make my depth adjustment before I start running all of the strips thru the saw blades.
