I like how Ragnarok Valhalla is similar to Ghost of Tsushima: Iki Island. Its such a cool concept for the base game to focus on the events and many characters of the game and once that is finished, we can spend much more time with the main character, their past, their thoughts upon themselves and their Ghosts (lol get it?) in the DLC
Thanks for not being another one of the tools who put spoiler images about the end to this as a thumbnail. A couple more channels blocked for me. Anyway, done a few hours now and enjoying it. Definitely more narrative than I was expecting.

Your videos are great! Looking forward to playing this DLC for the story. 🤯😲
Guess it's time to replay the entire GOW series again.
It's funny how Activision charges $70 for dlc and SMS charge nothing even though god of war Valhalla has more content
This is the only Free DLC that made me want to spend money and support the devs.
Love this perspective on it, and appriciate you not diving into spoiler territory as someone who hasn't played the game yet. 🙏 Random request, but I'd love to see your OBS settings - your gameplay quality is super crisp! 🔥
I love it because it gets straight to the action without all the story
I was very disappointed at the reveal thinking it was not story related but man, how wrong I was
Perfect timing, I haven’t played the main game yet 😂
BLADE OF OLYMPUS AND A THROWBACK OF PURE, DEEP RED RAGE OF SPARTA. FCKING BASED
I have played every single GOW since GOW 1, all of them, all the DLCs, everything. I am a huge Santa Monica fan and they only secure my loyalty further with actions like these. Santa Monica Studios = THE GOOD GUYS
Pay attention Ubisoft, EA, Bethesda, THIS is how you secure a fan base. Not by greedily bleeding them dry for only overnight profit margins. SantaMonica has pre-orders from me on lock, nobody else does. 👍 I intently look forward to their next release. Thank you guys. 👏 👏 👏
The fact that they didn't skimp out on the story is huge for me. I see you Santa Monica.
Still playing. Absolutely phenomenal
It lived up to all of my expectations and then some
Especially love how you avoided spoilers, excellent work
Thanks for not being another one of the tools who put spoiler images about the end to this as a thumbnail. A couple more channels blocked for me. Anyway, done a few hours now and enjoying it. Definitely more narrative than I was expecting.
I never understood that
what gets me the most about this is that it’s completely free. not only is this not even a full game, but this is higher quality than some AAA games nowadays, and it’s free of charge. that’s insane to me
There is still more after stuff after you finish the main story if the DLC. I'm still getting new dialogue. And somewhat new boss fights (trying not to spoil stuff, if you know you know)
I don’t know what it was, but outside of this year being a phenomenal year for games… it was ALSO an amazing year for DLCs:
Separate Ways, Final Horizon, and Valhalla are just to name a few
How can anyone not love this game? I have played Valhalla for two days and I don't want to stop.
Their DLC is longer than this year's Call of Duty campaign
I’m glad the devs still realize that God of War is about Kratos since he’s still alive. A DLC with Atreus would not be as intriguing if Kratos were still around.
This literally brings a tear to my eye it was so glorious.
Theory: kratos will stay sitting till his son returns much older.
World class development and world class game
This is a great DLC but my main issue with it is having to restart to the beginning every time you fail to defeat Tyr
That’s roguelike for you.
That’s how it works lol
It’s supposed to be difficult
These developers have to be amongst the best developers ever. This guy nailed it with his review and I agree with everything he said.
"& we'll blow him" Luke Stephens 2023
I loved that scythe kill, but after playing too much recently with Kassandra, I feel there was a missing back stomp to drive the body all the way down to the bottom of the blade
Just finished the DLC it was amazing and cannot believe this was free
The first person to beat the last boss hardest difficulty will 100% be a souls vet.
Bro went GOD OF HOPE
Playstation is killing it for real bro
I have been so focused on Baldur's gate 3 I didn't even know God of War Ragnarok had free DLC. Thanks for this video! Gonna go download it right now. I didn't watch the entirety of the game awards so I didn't know.
Love you man... you didnt spoil it for me... gotta start playing tonight...🤸🏾♂️🤸🏾♂️🤸🏾♂️
Fun fact, I DID have that next thing spoiled for me as I was downloading the dlc and it really hurt
The fact that we got a DLC of this quality for FREE.
Absolutely. Coming from Sony is shocking.
factsss
This is FREE and better than many entire full priced games this year.
Just downloaded it and can’t wait to play later tonight! This and Pokemon SV: Indigo Disk will provide gaming entertainment this weekend!
Definately my favourite gaming creator on youtube ❤ man I love your vids and your way of talking keep working hard may God bless you
Idk why I feel so so weird that I played this for FREE. Huge props to Santa Monica for creating this masterful epilogue for Kratos’ Norse journey. Here’s hoping he ventures to Egypt in the next game!
They should totally make a spin-off or add-on similar to this but CO-OP!
Just put two kratos in there! would be awesome and super unfair hahaha
No co op
