I had one last mod left to learn for the ultracite PA and it was the Tesla coils. I knew it would have been a massive grind. Then I go visit watoga vendor and randomly check the suitcase container by the bench. And the Tesla coils plan was inside. Thank you whoever left the plan there! You freed me from the SBQ grind. Oh, and I got the targeting HUD dropped from a regular SB. Yeah, I know.
Talking plans in Fallout 76. A couple of months ago. I was at the Whitespring bunker and saw a person in power armor standing over metal box. After he walked away from metal box. I went over to the box to look in & found dozen of plans inside the box. I looked over these plans & found plans on power armor & other items I didn't have. I took only plans I didn't have left the rest behind. Now I got a full set of T-45 power armor & a full set of Raiders power armor and other items that are hard to find. Believe it or not players do throw away plans in loot bags,trash cans, & other containers. Sometimes rare plans I find in loot bags after each event & through areas around campsites on the map. That's how I find rare plans for free.
If you're on PC be on the lookout I will be dropping a bunch of duped "legacy" weapons at the train station at Watoga. I will server hop and drop them inside. I am doing this to disrupt the market and to punish Bethesda for not doing anything about them.
I thought I'd see the Stimpack Diffuser plan would be on this, been playing since the beta and I still haven't had that plan drop for me.... Project Paradise haunts me in my sleep
The Forbidden Knowledge grind is real. I've been trying to get all of the BOS power armor paints. So far I have the first 3. It has taken forever. IMO the Elder paint looks like best. Who knows if I'll ever get it with those drop rates.
In my opinion, Deathclaw Gauntlet plan deserves an honorable mention, it is rare plan to find, it's a popular weapon, and no robot vendors nor grahm sells it, only have been able to get it by going through safes
what about the marine under armor plan from Census Violence? you can only get it after unlocking all the other underarmor upgrades and has the same drop chance as the assault rifle I believe
It has always wierded me out that some of the rarest weapon/mod plans are for weak weapons. Nobody uses the Boxing Glove. Nobody uses the Walking Cane. At least Ultracite Calibrated Shocks is pretty useful.
I thought it was going to take me forever to get all the BoS T-60 paints. But I got really lucky and unlocked all the Knight paints in one run, then a few days later unlocked the Officer, Paladin, and Elder paints one after another
My biggest thing about this list and other such economic pricing things is that there's a line to walk between what something is worth in terms of intrinsic value and what something is worth in terms of how much someone is willing to pay for it. A lot of these plans are rare, sure, but they have almost no people who even want them. So they're rare, but there's nearly no demand for them aside from collectors (who are probably willing to wait for an offer that's cheaper than 15k caps... there's over 2k plans so paying that much for the hundreds of "rare plans" is unreasonable). So I think this is interesting fun facts but you're probably not gonna sell these for "what they're worth".
My friend had a pepper shaker plan today and yesterday. Jammy bastard. Some players are more lucky than others in this game. I’ve had most plans but this game will not craft me a quad explosive fixer nor a unyielding ss left arm with action point refresh. Most of the time I’m grinding the grind to get these yet they still hold up and yet some players get 2 or 3 quickly. The luck rate too low for me lol

Been playing since first beta and not interested in plans, but I keep them for trades. The initiate paints aren't that rare. Just because the drop rates say another story, doesn't mean they're hard to find.

when i had first started playing back in oct. after i hit level 50, i did some events, daily ops, and some other quests, and not realizing it i had gotten a couple flamer mods for a couple melee weapons, and not using melee weapons, and being new I had no idea what I had and just left them in some random box in lucky hole mine trying to drop my carry weight. Then some high level player that was with me found them and explained i just gave up about 50,000 caps /mod i had just left. He didnt totally screw me and gave me a few items, but nothing close to whag i wouldve had, had I known... O well, its just a game at the end of the day.
Ultracite plans, specifically calibrated shocks and emergency protocols are so non existent it's the only power armor set I don't use across two characters.
They are rare very rare but I think the number of players that are looking for them are even rarer 😉The caps limit is 40K (not 30K) ..... & It should be 100K min. I dropped two tenderizers this week... (20LBS each is only part of the problem the other slow swing speed) & The pepper shaker is just a gimmick at best ! The scotch beast queen is activated SO often now in 2023. Its hard not to find a server that is doing one. So getting the ultracite mods arent hard to get. I got all before level 40
Got the ultracite Targeting HUD, Emergency Protocols and Calibrated Shocks...Found the first and payed around 60k for the last two. Finding them for sale had my heart jumping.
Wow. I'm missing 3 ultracite mods (not calibrated), the bear arm mods, and the 3 BOS PA paints. I know I've passed up buying from player vendors the 3 ultracite mods and two of the bear arm mods. Almost no one buys the other mods I do have from this list from my vendor machines. A lot of these prices on the weapons mods are ridiculously more than I've ever listed them at in my vendor machines.
Max Caps is now 40,000, you mentioned it was 30,000. The Assault Rifle Plan can also drop from most of the Wastelanders quests, I got two drops from doing 'The Importance of Communication' quest. The plan can also drop from quests in the Cranberry Bog and the Mire . But thank you for doing these videos mate. They are great and I know how time consuming they are. Thank you.
I've seen 3 Brotherhood Initiate paints for sale in vendors the last couple days...kinda weird since they were taken out with the forbidden knowledge update,i wonder if they are possibly dropping again?
I just started playing again for the first time in 2 years and just sold 5 of those plans for 10 caps each. I just throw all my plans in my vendor for 10 caps.
My original character has the Initiate Paint learned that’s like the only plan that has ever dropped for me haha only reason I haven’t deleted him. I had some awesome player paint my PA the Elder Paint. It’s my most prized item.
Now you have me freaking out. Next time I'm online I need to take all my plans off the sell list. You named at least 7 plans I know I have. 2 or 3 are Ultracite then some weapons. I need to start paying attention. Big time.

The Crusader Pistol should be on this list, I must have done 1,000+ daily-ops (across 5 characters) since it was added to the game, and I still haven’t got a single drop.
These low drop rates are one of the reasons why these items collect dust in player venders. I make money with low prices all the time. Low prices are a better way to make constant money flow. I have less than 2 weeks of play time and I have over 17,000 caps!
Just recently picked up the ultracite calibrated shocks plan for my strangler heart armor, and the pepper shaker plan from player vendors for 15k and 10k respectively. I Also, anyone on PS4 wants to add sadlynostimpacks I’m always selling t60 bos painted power armor sets, and if you come to me with a full set of t60 I’ll paint it any (accept initiate) bos paint you want for 100 caps!
pretty sure even 11 months ago when this was made the max caps was 40k already not 30k and the prices were all too low, now half of the ones are garbage with mutation packs, anything not from the packs is easily +10k over this, and the initiate paint is closer to 100k
I thought the calibrated shocks were legacy plan. People think the chainsaw duel bar is legacy too, but it not. Just stupid low drop rate as a loose mod or in a vendor bot

Some of the weapon's values are a little bit outdated, they're a little bit off in fo76 but NOT in RAID: SHADOW LEGENDS where you can collect 600 different champions
I think the Bos paint doesn't drop anymore in forbidden knowledge.. I have handed in over 100 technical data and I didn't get squat other than scribe uniforms ect
I slightly disagree with these drop rates. because I bought that rank 20 mod from a vendor today for 50 caps. and rank 15 is the most common cane mod that comes across and I also picked it up today from the random house table, I've found this on the map quite often so I wouldn't classify it as rare. The list contains several things that you come across in the world just by walking around and exploring every place. this is just my opinion based on my own experience and surely someone will correct it. I don't want to offend anyone or praise my own luck, because if I find something just because of that, I walk a lot and look everywhere
small update, I've now visited several Vendors and almost everyone sells that rank 15 cane mod for 52 caps, so its value is really not as high as someone has estimated. why would I pay thousands when I can get it for just over 50 caps. I bought 5 of them just as a joke, so if someone wants to pay 100,000 caps for them, I'll sell them for sure. and this comment too with all the friendliness, but who the hell comes up with these prices

It's almost pointless to put caps values on anything at this point in the game. Somehow caps have become devalued in favor of other currencies like Flux and Berry Mentats and raw materials have become much more useful and sought after. Some items far exceed the player caps limit and people look to trade items straight up. Bethesda really needs to improve their trade window to allow for any trades not just for caps.
To think that I have sold most of them by 120 caps. LOL. Ignorance is a bliss. I have all of these except the elder paint and the initiate paint. I have scrapped and sold to vendors a bundle of the first ones... I thought what a load of crap my luck sucks .. and I was ignorantly lucky ... The irony pains me
Well I thought some plans I found would be up here but there undropable I guess hot rod laser rifle paint I received from the nuke mine event and the boss outcast paint of wich I always talked about how I wanted it but I can't tell if I got it from a glitch or something because I failed an event before I got off the night before and we had just done our first event I think and the hot rod laser rifle paint was in new but the bos outcast paint I see I had it might’ve been in new I can't remember it was so long ago
The Tier 5 plans from the queen are actually rarer than 0.081% why you ask? because in the loot table the JETPACK is one of the items than can drop, which is also a common base drop . Never once have I seen the Telsa mod drop, nor any of my friends, in all the years since the game launched. I went to check out the Real Money sellers recently, only ONE person had the plan for sale. Bethesda needs to remove the damn Jetpack from from the Tier 5 table. I suck at math but I think the chances of getting a specific ultra rare plans from the SBQ (Calibrated, Tesla, Reactive, Hud) is 0.0016%
it makkes me sad seeing all these rare drop rates on the items and i know i scrapped at least 7 of these items because i needed space or i thought it was useless..... :-(

I'm always at max caps in 76. It doesn't seem to matter what I buy, I always make more cap's quickly. I sell all plans for 50 cap's at this point. Since I'm already close to the limit there is no need to mark the rare plans up.
Where did you get these prices? Purchased barbed cane plan for 200 caps from whitesprings. The ultracite mod plans are nowhere near this expensive have loads in my vend machine rarely get purchased for 200 caps. Don't even use my ultracite armour no need, just use the excavator for the carry weight boost, the mod plan prices for that are bad.

I got the Intiate BOS paint from a friend, had it for years. I didn't know it was legacy until last year.

The only mods worth those caps prices is the flamer mod for the enclave plasma gun and the calibrated shocks for the Ultracite PA legs.

Yes you can get a few from Test Your Metal...I've gotten the Pally one already. However, the paints are for T-51 only.

You can buy the crusader pistol for 2000 Gold from minerva when she has it available

You need to find a piece of technical data in the wasteland. If you have found some already check your quests for it and then toggle it as active :)
The fact that I have a lot of these and thought they were just junk but I believe I still have them in my stash

Wow, i expected UGL plan would be in that list. I got assault rifle plan like 4 times but still no chance on that and over that i saw it once in player vendors too in 1k hours of gameplay🤣
I have found all of these multiple times… I don’t know they were rare lol, I just drop them since I already have them learned… oh well hopefully someone got some use out of it

Some of the weapon's values are a little bit outdated, they're a little bit off in fo76 but NOT in RAID: SHADOW LEGENDS where you can collect 600 different champions

I think the Bos paint doesn't drop anymore in forbidden knowledge.. I have handed in over 100 technical data and I didn't get squat other than scribe uniforms ect
They all still drop mate bar the last one i showed

I slightly disagree with these drop rates. because I bought that rank 20 mod from a vendor today for 50 caps. and rank 15 is the most common cane mod that comes across and I also picked it up today from the random house table, I've found this on the map quite often so I wouldn't classify it as rare. The list contains several things that you come across in the world just by walking around and exploring every place. this is just my opinion based on my own experience and surely someone will correct it. I don't want to offend anyone or praise my own luck, because if I find something just because of that, I walk a lot and look everywhere
small update, I've now visited several Vendors and almost everyone sells that rank 15 cane mod for 52 caps, so its value is really not as high as someone has estimated. why would I pay thousands when I can get it for just over 50 caps. I bought 5 of them just as a joke, so if someone wants to pay 100,000 caps for them, I'll sell them for sure. and this comment too with all the friendliness, but who the hell comes up with these prices

It's almost pointless to put caps values on anything at this point in the game. Somehow caps have become devalued in favor of other currencies like Flux and Berry Mentats and raw materials have become much more useful and sought after. Some items far exceed the player caps limit and people look to trade items straight up. Bethesda really needs to improve their trade window to allow for any trades not just for caps.

Well I thought some plans I found would be up here but there undropable I guess hot rod laser rifle paint I received from the nuke mine event and the boss outcast paint of wich I always talked about how I wanted it but I can't tell if I got it from a glitch or something because I failed an event before I got off the night before and we had just done our first event I think and the hot rod laser rifle paint was in new but the bos outcast paint I see I had it might’ve been in new I can't remember it was so long ago

All that grinding almost makes it turn into another game. It also makes Fallout 4 with mods a better game, although F76 has a better map.
I sold my sacrificial machete mod yesterday for like 150 caps I didn’t know it was rare but lol

The Tier 5 plans from the queen are actually rarer than 0.081% why you ask? because in the loot table the JETPACK is one of the items than can drop, which is also a common base drop . Never once have I seen the Telsa mod drop, nor any of my friends, in all the years since the game launched. I went to check out the Real Money sellers recently, only ONE person had the plan for sale. Bethesda needs to remove the damn Jetpack from from the Tier 5 table. I suck at math but I think the chances of getting a specific ultra rare plans from the SBQ (Calibrated, Tesla, Reactive, Hud) is 0.0016%

it makkes me sad seeing all these rare drop rates on the items and i know i scrapped at least 7 of these items because i needed space or i thought it was useless..... :-(

I'm always at max caps in 76. It doesn't seem to matter what I buy, I always make more cap's quickly. I sell all plans for 50 cap's at this point. Since I'm already close to the limit there is no need to mark the rare plans up.

Where did you get these prices? Purchased barbed cane plan for 200 caps from whitesprings. The ultracite mod plans are nowhere near this expensive have loads in my vend machine rarely get purchased for 200 caps. Don't even use my ultracite armour no need, just use the excavator for the carry weight boost, the mod plan prices for that are bad.
