    Hi Johnny any way that you know of where I can add the yoshimura slip-on, without having to replace the full exhaust? Maybe modifying by removing the box? And adding mid pipes is that box removable?

      +SanDiegoRiders TV Hey, I have a question for u. I want to know did u remap your bike, when you putted a full exhaust system on your bike? Did you make any change on your bike except the full system?

      1:57 Did this system have a cat on it? Or is that a resonator? AZ emissions are almost as bad as California, so I have to have the cat on it to pass :-(

    Hey Johnny great vid I have the same bike, and I want that muffler but did you have to do anything else? I’ve heard about having to do a valve adjustment and map I’m not sure what else is involved any advice you can shoot me would be great thanks.

    • @JonnyRides
      @JonnyRides  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Awesome! Thanks for watching! Yes you can add more of the tuning parameters or an air filter etc etc, but on this one specifically we didn't do anything as per the customer request, and he rode it around for years with no issues! If you want the most power out if it. I would recommend a bazzaz or power commander unit and an air filter.

      Jonny Rides great bro! Thanks for getting back to me. To be sure, so I don’t ‘need to’ do a remap or valve adjustment for this exhaust? And it won’t overheat? I’ve heard that the air/fuel mix has to be modified with a new exhaust NOT just to improve performance but to avoid internal damage. I would appreciate it if you can clear it up for me. That sound is perfect for me!

    Thank you, could I just buy the slip on and cut the pipes from the last exhaust then weld it on? Or just get the full

    • @JonnyRides
      @JonnyRides  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Mark Hunter so much easier and cleaner to just get the full exhaust :D

    I had a lot of trouble getting the header pipes out from the front of the bike, any tips?

    • @JonnyRides
      @JonnyRides  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If they are kind of hard to get out you can check the gaskets to make sure they are not worn out and replace them, headers should be on there fairly tight but not too tight where it makes the seize on there
      Also you can take off the front wheel to give you more space if needed, but usually a good hard wiggle on a secure stand will do the trick!

    Question, I just bought a new 2015 Ninja Abs .. Basically the same bike but what website did you buy the Yoshimura exhaust and pipes from because online all i see is the exhaust .

    I am thinking about getting this for my 13' 650, do you know if I need to have the Power Command V if I install this exhausted to my bike?

    • @SomeoneStoleMyHandle
      @SomeoneStoleMyHandle 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      You don't "need" it, but it's better to have it if you want to get all the power out of it and completely get rid of backfires, a better air filter with more airflow is necessary if you install the exhaust and power commander though.

    • @JonnyRides
      @JonnyRides  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Yijing Zhang Nickolas927 is right, you dont need it, but it does make a HUGE difference if you get it :D

    Hey Guys! So I'm a new rider I am getting my 14' ninja 650 here soon and have been looking into getting either a slip on system or full exhaust but have concerns since I live in California . I heard slip ons are legal but full exhausts are not?! Do you have any advice for me?
    Thanks a million

    • @erics9971
      @erics9971 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      well these bikes don't accept slip ons so you would need to do full exhaust.

    • @greghopshire9006
      @greghopshire9006 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Wrong. there are modified pipes you can purchase for the 2012-2016 that allow for slip-ons. Essentially a two piece system... I spent $150 for it and $60 for a akropovic knock-off that works just the same. $210 total Lol. fuck paying $1000

    • @tonyhernandez2730
      @tonyhernandez2730 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I bought a cheapie exhuast and the separate header pipes $200 for all. Better than $800+ on a beginner touring/sport bike. I'll wait until I get the true track bike before I invest real hard earned money.

      Thanks for watching! Looking at the video I can tell that is one of two sets that I started with lol they are from harbor freight and come in standard and metric sizes! I hope that helps if not the company Motion Pro makes a similar set in blue.
