Appreciate the fact this was a 2022. I just bought one and in less than a week it's in for repairs because the driver next to me pushed into me due to the bike being too quiet. Had no idea I was there, probably mostly because she wasn't looking but still. Sounds awesome though, good video.
Earned my subscription. It’s so hard to find videos on the 22 ninja 650. I’m glad I ran across this video. I’m going to be ordering my exhaust soon, because like many others, it’s too quiet for me too. This video will help when it comes in. Thank you
Bought a 22 650 as first bike a few weeks ago and man I’ve been struggling to choose an exhaust to go with because the stock definitely isn’t it. This video sold me on yosi
Great video great explanation on all areas. How did you get the long bolt out to drop exhaust you skipped that part and looks like a challenge? Also so step by step removing old ehaust then skipped through best part installing the new exhaust. Bam it was on. Does 02 sensor screw in easily to new one? Well done removal of old exhaust
Just got my 650 a week ago, can stand the lack of feeling in this stock exhaust. Just dropped $800 on the carbon yoshi hopefully it sounds even better IRL. Great video btw, all I needed to know to decide to slap the table on this particular one. Also did you end up getting a tune or was it rich enough as is, I’ve heard mixed emotions on tuning it even though yoshi says it’s fine without one.
Yeah man it definitely sounds better IRL, but I didn’t get it tuned or anything I’ve just been running it with the Yoshimura exhaust and it’s been good, I just don’t want to void my warranty by tuning the bike lol
@@LucidSlynx legally, the warranty cannot be voided unless they can prove that the parts put on it or removed from it caused the problem. Like just putting an exhaust on it won't void it, but if the exhaust makes it run lean and that damages the engine, that voids it
@@LucidSlynx just got mine yesterday the dealership said that as long as the stuff I change on the bike isn't the cause to any problems I may have the warranty isn't voided and I could get it tuned or a new exhaust
I change with mivv exhaust but after one year with all db killer the bike its getting very loud and didn't improve a lot in power thinking to put back stock exhaust
Hiiii!!! Please answer! Your video convinced me that I want this exhaust for my 2022 Ninja 650 (first time ever buying one) but I've been tryna figure out if it's only for racing... lol can I have it on my bike for street use??
Just installed this on my 2024 Ninja 650. Compared to the stock both are MUCH louder. I tested mine without the DB killer that came with the Yoshi Alpha and it sounded mean as hell, but too loud in my opinion. But after I put the INS-20K the sound is about perfect. Still far louder and deeper than stock, but not obnoxious to the point where I fear being pulled over.
Bro good look on the vid. I bought the exact same bike a few weeks ago as well and just bought the Two brothers full system. Is there anything else we gotta do after we install it? I read that the bike will throw engine codes on the dash or maybe not even start after a while.??
No problem bro I’m gonna be trying to post videos on everything I do to the bike, but no after I installed it I didn’t have to do anything else it’s been running good no codes have come up or anything like that and I’ve been riding a lot
Did you get your two brothers exhaust in? Which model did you order The SR1? I have a 2022 650 ninja and was looking at two brothers full system just curious how your liking it?
@@BrandonBalthrop Yes i ordered the SR1. But with the fake carbon tip because the real carbon fiber tip version was more expensive. I love it man. Highly recommend it. 👍🏼
Very big improvement 👌🤙 Where did you buy yours from?? Thanks for sharing by the way !! Definitely recommended to change these stock exhausts. Cars beside you have NO idea you’re even there- we already know they can’t see us, combined with this dangerously quiet stick exhaust is just asking for trouble- it’s happened to me twice this season already- so it’s time to make it louder…
Thanks you man! I got it on revzilla.com And yeah it definitely helps make them notice us a little bit more but drivers are dumb man ride safe out there!
Yeah man it’s probably because it’s still in the break in period after you get the first oil change you can change it to 6k rpm’s or turn the shift indicator off it’s up to you
I have a 22 ninja 650 myself. Exact same bike it looks like as yours. I've gotten mixed information on whether you need to do a ECU flash after installing a full exhaust system or not. Is it just something you won't know until you install it? Whats the dangers of not tuning it and letting it backfire on a new bike? As a tech in the automotive world of things I can only think that it may damage the O2 sensors and Cat, but that's about it. And I'm aware bikes are very sensitive to back pressure with exhausts. Im relatively new to the bike world, but have the technical background to understand most of these things. If anyone is able to help, it will definitely help make this decision easier.
The exhausts you get should list whether or not you need a tune of any kind. I believe the Yoshi exhaust doesnt need a tune, but something like the Delkovic would need a tune I believe. You should be able to find it somewhere on their website. Happy riding!
bought mine over the weekend, waiting for it to arrive. I hope it brings my bike to life i love the 650 but it sounds like a damn leaf blower
Where did you order it from? All out of stock for me
Sounds great man!
FINALLY got mine in yesterday. Installing it now, thanks for the video 👍

did you remove the baffle first sounds deep.

Thanks, followed this exactly today
What kind of camera did you use to film this? It's the most in focus 'how-to' video I've ever seen!
I also just bought a 2021 ninja 650 and im looking at exhaust kit but a ecu flash is a good idea since you get a little more power out of it
With the baffle or no
Great video man.
Very helpful video did you have to tune your bike at any point After install?
It’s been a month now and it’s been running great with no tune or anything else
Did you need a tune?
Where’d you buy the full exhaust from? I can only find the slip on
You used your stock o2 sensor right? Aren't yoshimura exhausts 18 mm o2 bung? Did it come with 12mm adapter, or was the stock sensor 18mm?
The stock o2 sensor fit right into the new exhaust system without an adapter
What with the O2 sensor?
I change with mivv exhaust but after one year with all db killer the bike its getting very loud and didn't improve a lot in power thinking to put back stock exhaust

This should take you right to the website that I bought it on
So the $889 is the full system that you got ?
Yeah that’s the one !
Damn man! I should have read comments first 😂

@@doublerentertainment9438 how much was it for the whole exhaust system?
It was just under $1000 after taxes on RevZilla.com

Dang that’s a big ass stock exhaust 😂
Did u do an ECU flash after installing this new exhaust system?
No I didn’t all I did was the new exhaust system and it’s been running great

Nice video. Getting the stainless steel one for my 21 ninja 650 KTR, is this with the db killer or without?
Do the 2022 ninja 650 not have a servo motor?
Is this with or without the DB killer thing? Does it come stock with one or have to buy separately?

Thinking of getting a similar bike/exhaust combo, by how much would you say the Alpha raised the floor clearance?
I’m not sure exactly but I would guess like 3-4 inches, the stock exhaust was super bulky compared to the Alpha
