World Wide Flora and Fauna (WWFF) activation of Sugarloaf State Conservation Area (VKFF-1772) located west of Newcastle in New South Wales, Australia. Activation on Saturday 3 June 2023.
Part 1 - Operating on 40m (7.033 MHz). CW at 19 WPM using Yaesu FT-710 at 30W and end-fed half wave antenna.

Thanks Jay for your feedback. Yes it is annoying when someone starts calling CQ without listening first or calling QRL? I hoped that they would hear that the frequency was in use, but in the end it was easier to move to a new frequency, 73

G'day James, I was going over some of your old videos, when you started the channel to see how you get the wire up in air. Old days you used stick, these days you use cloth small bag with and tire rope on. What name of cloth bag so can I can order one? Tu for video.

Hi Dennis, it is called an arborist throw bag and line. You should be able to buy one off EBay or Amazon. The arborist throw bag and line are much better at getting an antenna in the tree than a stick and rope, 73

@@dennispeake1877 I have a 250g throw bag with a 15m long line. It works well in most cases. Sometimes the line is a little short if you get it high in the tree. But it can be extended with some parachord if needed, 73
