Nice video as usual. I'm using SDR-console for many years now. I noticed on TH-cam that the waterfall and other things are almost never set correctly. As I may suggest as to set the waterfall dynamic range to 50 dB and use a pallet with contrasting colours (I made several types) so the noise floor is almost black. Set the resolution to x2 or x4 to get more details. This way you can see a needle fall, so to say. Good luck with the channel. 73' Ron - on2ron
I'm so happy for this recent video ! Actually, I'm a graduate student, and I'm working on ultrasonic transducers. I have to test how efficient acoustic communication is by implementing modulation techniques using Gnu radio. I've already installed pihpsdr and want to know what are the librairies and drivers that I could install in order to transmit and receive using Gnu radio. There is a lack docs in this case so I'll be very very thankful for your help. Thank you!
If you are using PiHPSDR on the pi, with a screen, then you will need a USB Sound card/fob. Very cheap on ebay/amazon etc. That will provide audio out and then a microphone input. cheers
Hi, i just buy the radioberry you suggest, i used to have a general licence about 20 years ego in california kq6** but i never renew it, last radio i have was an old bulbs radio swan 500 with the liner to, same 500 watts and a kenwood 430 ts with a liner 5,000 watts when i quit the hobbie, but thanks for the video, was really very informative sir, i want to ask you what else i need to get me start it since its been a very long time without radios, thank you sir, 73 from colima mexico.
I think your channel is brilliant, and I have a question unrelated to this actual radio. But what do you use to see your spots with WSPR? I use a Hermes-Lite 2 with the IO board, Filter board and the enclosure. I saw it on your channel and thought it looked perfect for me. I integrated it with a Xiegu XP125B for a little 100 watt station and use a ~40 metre EFHW at my antenna. I also have it setup with an RF Sampler so I can use Pure Signal. Anyway a lot of the stuff I used was all based on your reviews/channel. So thank you mate!
You're most welcome, and I am happy to hear my videos have helped you out. You can view the WSPR spots @ www.wsprnet.org and then use WSJT-X software to transmit the WSPR. Or if you are using the hermes lite, then you can use SparkSDR.
I wonder if it's possible with the onbaord software to create a transceiver? I guess you'd need some kind of sequencer to detect the PTT switch and pull a digital input on the Pi to put the radio into TX mode and then trigger the PA? Great video 73
There is a 5 watt pre-amp board that was designed by the same guy that designed the Radioberry. It's a pi-hat that sits on top. The gerber files are available FOC on their github page. I think I made a video on it some time ago.
You can do the download and start installing in one go, without having to use chmod (Change Mode, change access permissions) or executing the script by using curl to download the script and pipe it to bash: sudo curl -sSL yourURL | bash Switches: -s = Silent (no progress or errors) -S = Disable download progress bar, but show errors. Used in conjunction with -s -L = follow redirects (e.g. 30X response)
I returned the complete radio. Typically a design by a programmer who did not take into account the heat development of the components.. And to always listen to a blower that needs to be mounted.... Crazy!! Don't buy is my advice!!
That’s absurd to be quite frank. Cooling is not an issue, silent fans if needed. Maybe “off the shelf” black boxes is more your thing, which Is totally fine of course. But to advise anyone not to buy is like saying to never experiment with ham radio.
Finally ot the installation right with no errors but cannot to find radioberry to Run!

Very helpful comment thank you.
I’d love to see a full build using a radio berry and preamp etc

Absolutely brilliant documentation, thanks very much!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I'm going to get one of those... Did you try it on the S2 Ghostnet? (Thanks for sharing, you did a great job)
Thank you for a very interesting video. I don't understand how the audio goes when the display is connected via MIPI DSI display port ?
Thanks!

Got one of these delivered the other day, nicely timed!

Thank you!
Such a nice set up if this was plug and go in a case it would be Super awesome as many won't like the configuration.

Awesome piece of tech but shouldn't be so expensive for what it is you can buy a sbitx board for that price that does 20w
Show the filter board and rx/tx port combiner in use.
Maybe a small PA as well
3 part series ?
Id love see you get this up to 10 or even 20W with some filtering. 73 de KI7OXA

what is the resolution vs the hermes lite 2 ? isnt the hermes better?
Hello ! Is it working with a raspberry pi 3 b+ ?
CNN привет друг. Скажи какие модули необходимо добавить для получения полноценного трансивера от 100 кГц до 750 мгц.

whilst it's relatively common, that's a bad security practice to pipe a script from the internet into bash.
@@danielkingshott2659if you're already going to blindly chmod +x and execute, what's the difference?
I have buy and build up the 7 inch radio berry. It works but see only a fishing man on the lake. what i have to do no, like to receive radio stations.
Excellent, thankyou.
Cool but, the price for a single unit @ $263,000 + $4,000 shipping is a bit steep for me lol IDK if that 11% discount will help.
Is this the last board v2 ?
Well done.
will it work with pi 3b i wonder ?
thank you very much
You are welcome
is there a preselector available for this?
N2ADR makes a filter board for the HL2 that should be compatible with this. However, you will still need to handle the RX and TX ports.
Nice!
Interesting
Pity SDR console doesn't run o Linux...
