Basically, non-ticket holders will get a timed research to complete and will see Kanto Pokemon spawning in the wild, rotating a different group of species each hour. They will not get the special research or collection challenges.

At this time, there’s no indication Niantic will sell Kanto Tour event tickets again so you’re out of luck if you missed out on yesterday’s 2/21 event.

So to put in simple terms, the Kanto TOUR event was a one day event that gave shiny boosts, regional in raids, and exclusive special researches to ticket holders only. The Kanto CELEBRATION week event is a one week event that has no shiny boost and just has Kanto pokemon everywhere in the wild, gyms, field research, and eggs for everyone to catch to help everyone complete a timed research, no special research given. Hope this helps you see the difference between the two. All the shinies released from the Kanto tour one day event will continue to be available forever from this point on - so make sure you continue tapping any Kanto Pokémon to try your luck ✨

To be safe, I would assume deadline to purchase a ticket is 8:59am local time just before the Kanto Tour event starts in your local time. Hi! The 9 free raid passes was only for ticketholders during the Kanto Tour event (the 1 day event on Saturday 2/21). It is no longer relevant to the current Kanto Celebration Week event. However, keep in mind we do have a raid day coming up featuring the Kanto legendary birds on Sunday 2/28 11-2 local time and that will give up to 5 free regular raid passes from spinning to everyone.

Hi! Wow, I’ve never heard of that before but if it’s true, your kids account is lucky! It might be because it’s a Niantic Kid account assuming they wouldn’t assume kids to venture out spinning pokestops in order to get gifts. I’ll see if others had this experience on other threads and follow up!

Good question. Unfortunately I do not think non ticket holders can get the shiny mew at the moment. Ticket holders will get a research call the Masterwork Research that will reward a shiny mew and according to official announcement posts, it will only be given to ticket holders. Folks without a ticket won’t get the Masterwork research that will reward a shiny mew.

As a non ticket holder, you’ll have access to the wild Kanto spawns rotating every hour and you’ll get a timed research to complete that will reward you small items and eevee, Lapras, and snorlax. Non-ticket holders will not get the Kanto tour special research that will give shiny ditto and they will not get the collection challenges. Short answer, you can catch Kanto Pokémon every hour and complete a timed research if you do not have a ticket. Hope this helps!
