Good question! If you’re not best friends and the legendary Pokémon is NOT registered in the pokedex for one of the traders, then it will be 80k for ultra friends, 800k for great friends, and 1 million for good friends. If the legendary Pokémon is registered in both trader pokedex then it is significantly less cost - 1600 for ultra friends, 16k for great friends, and 20k for good friends.
Best friends trades cost the least. For legendaries not registered, it would be 40k stardust cost for best friends. If legendaries are registered, then it will be the cheapest 800 stardust cost

Lucky Pokémon is never guarantee unless you are lucky friends with a best friend or Pokémon caught from 2016 is involved with the sender having done less than 10 trades. Lucky Pokémon is all up to change/RNG if you are just doing regular trading so it’s a rare occurrence without being lucky friends for a guarantee. The same concept with chance/RNG also applies to the IV a Pokémon gets after trading. There is no rule to guarantee a certain range of IV when it comes to regular trading. If the Pokémon is lucky, the guarantee range is above 80% IV. But if it’s a regular trade, you can trade a 89% IV legendary and the person you’re trading with sends you a 78% IV legendary, that might turn to a low IV or high IV Pokémon for you, no way of knowing which way the IV will go. Overall, there’s no guarantee with anything unless you’re guaranteeing a lucky Pokémon by being lucky friends. Let me know if clarification is needed for something
First step is to become best friends. Then the first interaction you do with your best friends each day will have the chance to trigger lucky friends (around or less than 2% chance to trigger it). So let’s say you are best friends with someone and it’s a brand new day. You or the player you’re best friends with can do your first interaction like opening a gift or battling together each day for a chance to be lucky friends. It’s all about making sure you interact with your best friends at least once every day to get that chance and keep doing every day until it is triggered no matter how long that takes haha.
