As a returning player I thought that I will have to use a lot of mega energy every time I want to evolve my Pokémon and since I live in a rural area I decided to not do the mega evolutions unless I have a really good reason to because I’m probably not gonna get that mega energy back but now I see that this reasoning was a mistake
Returning player, so glad to have this video! I watched a lot of other ones with millions of views but they didn't really explain WHAT Mega evolution is and why I might want to use it. Considering how the last time I played pogo the height of power was evolving a dragonite, a lot of the new forms and evolutions are super confusing to me and I've just been ignoring them in my gameplay and playing like I did in 2016 😂 hopefully now I will make some actual progress!!

Yes. A mega evolution from yesterday Monday but expires the next day Tuesday 2am is treated as one mega evolution from yesterday. When you mega evolve for the first time Tuesday, that will count for mega level

Could I theoretically get mega energy from walking with a mega-capable Pokémon as my buddy? For example, if I have an Absol and I go say 5km, do I also get mega energy as well? Thanks!
Yes, you can absolutely get mega energy from walking with a Pokémon that has a mega evolution as your buddy as long as you’ve already mega evolved it at least once in the past before already. This was how I regained mega energy for gyarados after I mega evolved it for the first time and used up all my energy. Good luck walking to get mega energy for your buddy! 😎
Yes, mega evolved Pokémon can be use in any raids, gym or team go rocket battles. Not only are they stronger and help boost raid team members attack power, they can help as your buddy getting you more candy catching Pokémon as the same type as your current mega Pokémon. The only battle mega evolved Pokémon can’t be used to fight is in pvp to go battle league against real people to climb league ranking.

You can mega evolve more than one Pokémon a day but can only have one active mega Pokémon at a time. You mega evolve venusaur, mega venusaur is your active mega Pokémon so you’ll get the bonus like extra candy catching grass types Pokémon but if you evolve mega evolve gyarados one hour later, mega venusaur turns back to regular venusaur and your new active mega Pokémon is gyrados so you get bonus catching water types and not grass types anymore. For increasing mega levels, you can mega evolve multiple Pokémon a day but each Pokémon you evolve can only increase their mega level once a day. Hope this makes sense!
So if i have a charizard that i have at the first mega level and i done the one mega evolve for him can i mega evolve my Loppuny in the same day ? Yes, if you mega evolve your Charizard once already for the day, you can evolve your mega loppuny once for the day as well as any other mega evolve Pokémon to count once for the day. Remember you can only have one mega evolved Pokémon at a time but you can cycle through all mega Pokémon to mega evolve each one once per day to count towards each Pokémon’s mega level. @TF2_n_n could be worth it. Not sure if one is better over the other since they are both dragon moves. Breaking swipe might charge up faster than outrage but in terms of dmg output, can’t go wrong with either. Maybe just use an elite for your best rayquaza for that special treatment and just have outrage for the rest of your other rayquaza. XL candy gotta farm via raids to consistently get a lot or walking a rayquaza as your Buddy can potentially pick up XL candy here and there. Can also try to trade rayquaza with another person with a lot of rayquaza but not as efficient because limited to one legendary trade a day I believe
You don’t have to wait for the 8 hours to run out. You can mega evolve one then mega evolve another. So if you have a mega evolve gengar and you mega evolve a Charizard 5 min later, the gengar will revert back to normal after you mega evolve Charizard.

Different for each Pokémon. Each Pokémon has its own mega level timeline. Mega evolving gengar won’t affect anything mega evolving another Pokémon like Charizard
Hello genshin friend haha. I got that from a convention from a vendor called subconscious realms. You can google it and go to their website to their genshin collab page and that should lead you to the shadow box item 😀
You can evolve all Pokémon that can mega evolve one after another but the important thing to keep in mind is you should only mega evolve each one once a day since the mega level for each Pokémon only goes up once a day. So you can mega evolve your venusaur and a gengar and then Charizard and keep going with every other mega evolve Pokémon today but once you’re done mega evolving everyone at least once for the day, wait until the next day to mega evolve everyone again once again. Hope this makes sense! 😀
Yes you can. You can’t power up while a pokemon is in mega evolution state but once its mega evolution expires, you can power it up as usual in its normal state
Does anyone know how much mega energy (per mega class) is needed to increase mega eveolve the pokemon after the intial evolution cost. For example Swampert needs 200 mega energy to initially evolve, after 24 hours I belive you can use 37 mega energy so it can evolve the next time and further the mega evolution process. So my questions are will it continue to be 37 mega energy for the next 30 days or does it decrease upon moving to the high and max level status? Also is it the same 37 or so cost for any mega pokemon after the initial cost? I hope my question makes sense. I hope to capitalize on the raid rotations so i can have them all.
Hi! So after the initial mega evolution, it can be free to mega evolve that specific pokemon after a rest cooldown period depending on the mega level or be a significant reduced mega energy cost before the rest cooldown period is complete. As the rest cooldown period gets shorter, the cost to mega evolve decreases too. So in your example with swampert, you mega evolved it for the first time, the next time you can mega evolve it cost about let’s say 40 mega energy if you want to evolve it immediately after it’s done mega evolved from the first mega evolution. Since mega level starts at base/lvl 1, it has a 7 day rest cooldown period before it’s free to mega evolve again. If you wait 24 hrs, the cost to evolve goes from 40 to 35 (40 mega energy / 7 days = 5 mega energy reduced from 40 each day in the cooldown period). Wait the entire 7 days and the cost to mega evolve for swampert will be free. Wait only full 2 days, the cost will be reduced to 30 mega energy, 3 days = 25 mega energy. Different pokemon have different cost but the concept is the same which is after initial evolution, reduced mega energy cost with a rest cooldown period that decreases the cost until cooldown is over and cooldown period is determined by the mega level of that Pokemon. Let me know if all this makes sense or if you have any questions for further clarification 😀

Hi! I’m not sure I understand what your question is. You have two blastoise and both blastoise are at max mega level. It is true you can only mega evolve one Pokemon at a time/only one Pokemon can be mega evolved at any given time. You can’t have both blastoise mega evolve at the same time. You can mega evolve one blastoise (A) and if you try to mega evolve the second blastoise (B), the first Blastoise (A) will go back to normal.
Each pokemon have their own mega level so you’ll need one dedicated Charizard for mega X and another dedicated Charizard for mega Y. Two different Charizards with both having their own individual mega level 😀
Correct if you’re okay waiting for the full cooldown rest period. After you mega evolve a pokemon for the first time, you can mega evolve it again for free after a rest cooldown period that last a few days
The cooldowns are applied per Pokémon. You want to think of each Pokémon as it’s own entity individually even if it’s the same species. What you do with one gyarados, let’s call it G1, its progress will not affect other gyarados. You can mega evolve other gyarados G2, G3, and so forth but their timeline will only affect them individually and won’t affect the cooldown timeline for G1 or others (evolving G2 gyarados will not help G1, G3, etc.). They will always go back to their normal state after 8 hours from the time you mega evolve it or if you mega evolve another Pokémon, whichever one comes first.
I would say it’s not worth having multiple of the same Pokémon with the intent to mega evolve all of them. Just the fact you can only mega evolve one at a time and it’s tedious to build up mega level makes managing one enough. Pick your best stat tyranitar and focus on giving the mega spotlight to that single one. Hope this helped!
A Pokémon needs to be level 40 first by regular candy first in order to use XL candy to power and level it up more. After maxing a Pokémon level using that Pokémon’s regular candy, you can use XL candy to level up further to past level 40 to level 50.
Check if there is an app update, or if possible, try signing in your account from another phone to see if you see the issue there. Sorry I can’t help, never encountered an issue like that before

Breaking swipe or outrage are both good to replace aerial ace whichever one you’re able to get easily

I’m playing again now in 2024, they still require some mega energy after the cooldown period. This is w.r.t. rule 4, anyone else facing the same?
I think they stated that there was a glitch in the system idk if it still there but for me it’s free to mega evolve.
If I have loads of mega energy can I just evolve all the mega pokemon in one day and the next? Do I lose out on anything.
