I think you did a terrific job, especially when you were obliged to keep the beige walls and carpet. It is a masculine and tasteful room designed for a grown-up man.
Bravo! The room is interesting and different. It also manages to be restrained and uncluttered yet at the same time communicating warmth and comfort. I could not have come up with something like this on my own, and I think that's a pretty good definition of a truly professional job.
I love how you transformed the room. It’s not easy when someone requests “industrial” decor yet is working with fixed beige walls and carpeted flooring, the opposite of that style. But the elements you brought in worked perfectly, like a Restoration Hardware style of Industrial. The only item I wasn’t 100% with was the lone bookcase, seems it needed some kind of companion, or be a bookcase on top with drawers or cabinets on the bottom.
Thank you! It could be possible we could have added another, but it's likley that it would have to a different piece which could stack with another companion in a flush way. We also had two doors on that wall to be cautious of crowding. Although, with a little bit of tweaking, I'm sure we could have gone a different route 👏
Hello. Could you tell me more about the bench at the foot of the bed? To where one might find something along those lines. One thing I hear people say a lot over the past decade "Ugh brown furniture." Depending on the pieces and how that is incorporated into a room, I think that it is nice compared to a lot of more modern stuff.

Loved this example because of the workaround solutions. I too have white walls that I’m not painting and beige wood floor which is not my aesthetic preference. Also my bedroom is quite small so learning where to place certain material and texture details helped simplifying it a lot. It can be quite overwhelming for someone enthusiastic about interior design but not professional. Thank you for this tasteful educational video. Followed!
And some do not like the darker colors either. That's beauty about it. You can have the colors you want, obviously not florescent one 😂😂😂, but still be masculine.
Thank you! I don't think anyone has ever reached out to us about designing a mountain cabin. That would be a fun one to do! So now I'll be waiting for someone to email us saying "Design my cabin" 😎
I would certainly classify it as more "modern industrial influenced" than strictly modern industrial. A lot of traditional influence in this design as well. Thank you!
@@ChaudryGhafoor Agree with influenced by the Industrial Era and furnishing we saw in the Revival period of architecture. Well done in setting the appropriate theme considering the owners design limitations. I'm sure many immediately considered changing the flooring until that was off the program.
@@RichardBarnett-hs1qy Lol, if we all did this we'd have no clients. Design is all about finding solutions and obstacles are just forks in the road for learning. The only obstacles worth avoiding are the financial ones.
@@michaelsd284 I can appreciate your point of view, and agree if one throws in the towel over every little bump in the road. Most designers cam meet challenges in a mutually satisfying way. (Even turning out for the better.) I would like to have seen Chaudry's solution, given more creative latitude. To my point however, there are clients one is better off without.
Stunning room! Signed up for sure! Don’t know if we have a space that qualifies for a makeover (too large) but I signed up as a design fan, first and foremost.
I can't imagine wanting to keep the beige walls and that bland carpet. Kudo's to you sir, you made a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Your client would have had even more amazing results if he'd been willing to invest a little to get rid of that carpet and be willing to paint the walls something different. Great vid, I'm a subscriber!
Ok, I love the designs I'm seeing here and your other videos....and you have a new subscriber now! However, can you really do something with us poor people in our small homes??? Like I am trying to make a media room in a 12x16 foot room right now. What can you do with those of us working with odd shaped small rooms in the old '60s style ranch style homes??
Given the beige paint and carpet had to remain, you did well, but you were certainly restrained by lack of paint. Beige is a sickly colour, designed for the risk averse. Apologies if I offend beige lovers.
Every guy I know, doesn’t like throw pillows. Thank you for not doing that. Like the leather. But the ceilings in the original photos didn’t look high enough to hold that large over the bed light fixture. And faux ceiling beams.
The ceilings were not extremely high, you're right! They were 8 ft tall. The beams do look large in the rendering, but the beams we suggested to the customer only came down 5 inches, so very doable! The chandelier has a 12 inch diameter 💪
Thank you! We get things from all over; big stores and independent stores. It's really about whoever has the piece we need for the design. Examples of bigger names that we sometimes use are Wayfair, West Elm, Amazon, RH, Bed Bath and Beyond, Safavieh. The list goes on and on.

Great job! The exposed wood beams work really well. I never would have tried that.
Thank you!
I absolutely love that chair.

Thank you for being here!
Paint is relatively cheap and changeable. Client was wrong not to allow much darker wall color.
Some of us find the smell of paint very difficult to handle for quite a while

Night and effin day!! Awesome 👌
Appreciate this!

A very good transition there. An excellent job you have done there.
Thank you
Wow. Looks great.

Very nice. I would not have ID'd that as modern industrial, but it looks terrific.

The client said he wanted 'modern industrial' ....... but then threw too many obstacles in the way. (Not someone I would want to work with.)

We could make that happen! Some creative furniture placement and the right selections will make that media room feel top notch
Nice rebranding! 🗿🔥

Not bad for the limitations you had. It could have been so much more!
Thank you!

I like my beige walls but I could paint them black in a day or two.
I…think I understand not changing the carpet, but not painting?! Ok 🤷🏻♂️
Edit: Love your room man.
Seems a bit lazy saying painting walls weren't an option. Maybe I missed something in the video.

sounds like he is a renter honestly
The first step to designing a gentlemans bedroom, is to change your name to Chaudry, probably.

Too lazy to paint? The room looks good but I just don’t understand the fear of painting.
Some of use have a very hard time with the odor paint had…it lingers for a few months and is very unpleasant to those of us who are allergic
There was no reason given for why painting wasn't an option.
It's a great design but the ceiling doesn't look much good tbh 😭....i love ur designs tho don't count me as a hater
Haha no worries!
