  • This is my dream car 992 Porsche GT3. I was lucky enough to give the Porsche its First Wash and Drive after my full detail, paint protection film and coating application. This is one of the most incredible cars I've driven in 5 years. Watch until the end where I take the Porsche GT3 out for a high speed drive by. This is the ultimate daily driven exotic! Once done we applied AMMO Reflex Pro to the exterior for insane reflection and paint coating protection. For a full list of products visit www.ammonyc.com. Thx for watching! -L

    I’m the lucky owner of the 992 GT3 in this episode. It was a fun experience for both of us. I got to witness firsthand Larry’s attention to detail and passion for his craft, and he got early seat time in the latest GT3. Great guy, great work, great products!

      Is the car daily drivable or too hard and impractical (too low with the undercar aeros) for the street?

    • @AutoPilotgogogo
      @AutoPilotgogogo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +25

      @@theclutch19 Definitely daily drivable as long as you're cautious with driveways, ramps, speed bumps. Aside from the huge wing in the rear view mirror, visibility is good. As for ride quality, it's no more harsh than the 2017 Audi S3 that used to be my daily driver. Overall, as you'd expect, it depends on your local road conditions. Porsche seems to have tuned this newest generation of GT3 to be more like the track-focused GT3 RS of the previous generation.

      Absolutely unbelievable car, fantastic spec to! Do you mind me asking why you requested for the wheels to be left on during the detailing process, just interested! Congrats on the gt3

    • @AutoPilotgogogo
      @AutoPilotgogogo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      @@mattrobson8230 Thanks! Couple of reasons. The car is brand new, so the wheels weren't that dirty to begin with. And the GT3 has a fiddly, complicated centerlock nut system to secure the wheels to the hubs, rather than standard lugbolts/nuts. It's a very specific process that requires special tools. Didn't think it was worth the effort just to get to the backs of the wheels. I love the car, and am looking forward to warmer temps this spring.

    11:18 that the cable going from the splitter to the chassis is to transfer the downforce from the front splitter (which is plastic and would just bend) directly to the chassis. It also prevents the splitter from deflecting downward too far at high speed and potentially catching on the ground which would be bad.

      That system is also used on the 718 GT4/Spyder. In addition to the comments above that cable would also provide the front splitter some give should it come in contact with the ground, the lip which is all plastic can flex upward and return to its original position (cable under tension).

    The textured look on the lower rocker panel was present from new 50 years ago on my first 911. I think it was a German equivalent of a product called Body Schutz by 3M which is a rubberized undercoating. I may be wrong but appearance wise it is identical.

    Ever since I was a Valet back in my early to mid/late 20’s, I’ve been obsessed with everything Porsche puts out. Driven 60s up to brand new chassis, and fell in love with every single one I drove. My first experience in a GT3 is something I’ll never forget. The level of precision, and tightness, and stiffness, and attention to every last detail is mind blowing. I’ve been in my Tiguan for a few years wanting to upgrade to a Macan GTS, but regardless of w/e I end up daily driving, the dream of owning a Porsche 911 or Cayman, for a weekend toy, is extremely strong, and has remained as strong as when I stepped out of the first 911 I ever rode in, after a ride along track run when I was 11yo, and the obsession hit. Told my dad the entire ride home and the next few days that I’m going to own one of those (until I knew I was being annoying af about it and kept the obsessive porsche talk to myself😂)
    🤞🏼Hopefully one day man….🤞🏼🤞🏼Hopefully one day🤞🏼

I had some isolated scratches I took care of with my nano just like you had. I swear I had the same reaction when I got the last leaf out of the front grill 😂 I really love what they did with the 992 paint. I feel the same way about the orange peel. It provides durability where it matters. This video just put the same smile I had on my face this morning!!!

    So amazing. My dream car as well. For the leaves that get stuck in the front- you should use some tweezers for the stubborn ones!

    The rock guard is intentionally soft so that the paint will stay on it when it moves from the impact of a rock. It's a PITA to get off if you're repairing a rocker panel, but it's a really good way to save the metal that will be taking more abuse

    Loved watching the drive at the end, EXCEPT for the thumbs IN the steering wheel. That can be a bit dangerous, instead of having them on the wheel, not wrapped around it. Always enjoy watching the videos. BEST detailer in the business! I wish I could afford you, as you probably cost a lot more than I make in a month.

    Hey, Larry. Great work - as expected!
    Would like to know if you have any plans on upping the production past 1080p? You've probably already addressed this but I haven't heard or read anything about it personally.
    Thanks, and happy holidays!

    Makes me SO happy when owners trust you enough to put their cars through their paces! Why wouldn’t they, after trusting your OCD to get their cars looking AMAZING?
