To me it evokes the futility of working on the ever-collapsing capitalist system, always patching things while never really fixing any of the real issues, like the proposal of building large CO2 removal machines instead of, you know, stopping the vast majority of carbon emmissions from taking place. I think the music is mixed a little too loud, it can be difficult to hear you at certain points! With no context, the first time I saw Can't Help Myself, I definitely interpreted it as commentary on trying to take on an impossible task, with no one to help you. No matter how hard you struggle you can not overcome it, and eventually it just consumes you.
