You broke down all the little things like features and how they turn on and off. You even went over how it folds. I passed on ordering the Shure headphones that I was comparing these to based on a couple of factors like lack of bass from the reviews I read and watched and a big decision was the lack of folding like these do. Only your review highlighted that and really explains things well. You really get into what these excel at and what they're okay at. Very well done without being needlessly long winded. Great review. Liked and subscribed.
I feel that is my moral duty to say a bug thank you for this review. I've bought the headphones for my son who plays piano and he was using my pair of Bose QC45 to play quiet at home. His piano is a Yamaha Clavinova and I start searching for a pair of headphones made by the same company. On TH-cam your review came first and was exactly what I needed to convince me to pay almost £350 for a pair of headphones. In few words: this headphones are over my Bose QC45 in terms of sound and noise cancelling and are worth every penny. Thanks again and keep up the good work!
best feature for me - no sensoric input. there is no need to switch to additional electronic pannels, just so you can swipe instead of press. not to mention they would be just another part to break, or go heywire if the humidity plays against it
@@NewStuffTV1 🤣 Wasn’t talkin bout your content bro, I was talkin bout your recording technique, ambience, location, I know u keep it good, mad props 2 u!!
Hey, nice to see you review some more high end stuff. I've heard the WH-1000XM3 and a lot of TH-camrs rave about the Anker Soundcore Life Q30 but having listened to (and now recorded) the sound of the Mpow H17 (Digital Slang first rec'd some months ago) against them they are some great sounding wireless ANC and I wonder why people buy anything else (£30 UK) ..unless they literally have the money burning a hole in their pocket! :-) I mean why spend more..btw love your old mega comparisons and be good to hear your sound ratings out of 100 say for budget against expensive cans.
Good coverage of the sound stage and quality. However, these are noise cancelling headphones, but you don't even mention the noise cancelling quality on them...
Yes it can play with wired connection without battery but sounds very hollow unbearable, only sounds good with power on. It can be charged n played only in wired mode without power
I am searching for a nouse canceling headphone where your ears don't touch the pads. So far only the sennheiser 550 comes close. Can you recommend something?
I tested these and in the minute I wore them loved the sound. But hated the fit. The headband just didn't sit well. And my test song is Human by the killers. The sound stage was insanely beautiful
I bought these and had to return 2 pairs for the identical issue. When I used them for calls, the people on the other end would hear an echo of their own voices. I gave up on them and went for the M50BT instead. The Yamahas are indeed muddy out of the box but did improve with some break in. I personally found their headband didn't extend far enough, even though I did not experience the hot spots you did. I was also getting all sorts of errors when checking for firmware updates, to try and see if there was a fix for the call issues. I also found a lot of settings just modified the sound but did not really have the effect they were claiming. All in all, to me, I wanted to love these after having owned their prior Bluetooth headphones for almost 3 years, but they felt like an unpolished product with that deal breaker of an issue when it came to calls.
The audio quality is the best thing on the headphones. The anc, however, isn't good. The build is sturdy and the shape looks like what you get with higher end headphones. Edit: the pads aren't soft enough for people with large heads, neither is the headband, regardless of hair length.
Use cable and change the equalizer as shown 500hz -1db 2000hz +1db 4000hz -2db 8000hz +4db absolutely sick For the bassheads , add: Sub 80hz +2,db 100-200hz +1,db Just do it. And thank me later We are talking about closed earphones here, cant see anything better for the price with such a precise and powerfull bass (sub bass and punchyness all there) with clearity you wouldnt expect
hey, i have these headphones (pre owned pair) and i haven't ever had a Bluetooth connection issue, continues connection or first pairing connection no issues what so ever
Good to see some more reviews of this great headphone coming through. Really think they are underrated in this category. With comfort, I added some dakoni nuggets to the headband which makes them super comfortable to me (I don’t have issues with the earcup comfort)
I have to disagree with part of your review near the end. Straight up not recommending these for EDM and Hip Hop?? That makes absolutely no sense, and it's not in line with everything else you described about them. These are incredible for those genres. I'm actually returning my Crusher EVOs after hearing these. These Yamahas are far superior for bass music. The bass is way more accurate, and they're actually able to play loud unlike the EVOs whose volume is usually adequate, but on certain older 90's mastered albums I always crave a little more volume for the quieter mastering they employed then. The Skullcandy haptic bass is very fun, until you realize it doesn't emphasize ALL of the bass notes in my music. Yamaha wins.
it's perfect for dubstep ... but not for rap, it's not a helmet for rap, and it shows on rap you very quickly feel the poverty of the genre (for some artists not all necessarily, some are excellent in rap). and the Crusher EVO is a TV headset its bass is sensitive but it is designed primarily for films, otherwise this headset is less good technically but has more 3d effect for films. it's not the same headphones and it's not for the same uses, and it's not the same price too. the Yamaha is surely the best bluetooth headset in terms of sound quality and can be used for everything (music and movies) while the Evo bedtime is only a TV headset
Avoid these! They look huge but the ear cup openings are TINY in reality. The Plantronics Backbeat Go 600 are bigger, and cost less than a tenth. The headband has nearly no padding and overall the Yamahas are overly tight and uncomfortable. The manufacturing is also shoddy, fraying stitching out of the box and ear pads that twist off on their own. I sent these back in less than an hour of receiving them without bothering to check what they sound like.

Thanks for the review. Want to pick up an anc headphones for day to day use and this sounds like a compelling alternative to the XM4.
You should check out my latest content revolving around the XM3. They're at a great price right now and are STILL my goto headphones.
@@NewStuffTV1 Huawei freebuds studio is better than xm3+xm4 review it!

Does this Yamaha can play with 3.5 jack white Battery is down?
Can phones plan&charge via Type-C at the same time ?
Yes it can play with wired connection without battery but sounds very hollow unbearable, only sounds good with power on. It can be charged n played only in wired mode without power
Great review. They're on sale for 3 bills . I'm buying them
Are these better than the Sony WH-1000XM4? Thanks

It is not very often we see earpads like that on headphones 😎🙌
I tested these and in the minute I wore them loved the sound. But hated the fit. The headband just didn't sit well. And my test song is Human by the killers. The sound stage was insanely beautiful
can you switch the earpads out with memory foam earpads?
Your head is good enough, for sure, but my head has a different shape that these work fine for. You have a perfect globe 😂 Thanks for a great review.

Sir Thank you for your many features...

Yamaha joined to the ANC-game, nice! Yamaha MT220 is a legend...
Could you try to review Beyerdynamic Lagoon ANC or Master&Dynamic MW65?
I've always wanted to try out those brands. I gotta get the money flowing 👊🤣
The audio quality is the best thing on the headphones. The anc, however, isn't good. The build is sturdy and the shape looks like what you get with higher end headphones.
Edit: the pads aren't soft enough for people with large heads, neither is the headband, regardless of hair length.
Are these headphones durable enough to use at the gym???
Too bulky n ANC is ordinary compared to bose n Sony
Use cable and change the equalizer as shown
500hz -1db
2000hz +1db
4000hz -2db
8000hz +4db absolutely sick
For the bassheads , add:
Sub 80hz +2,db
100-200hz +1,db
Just do it. And thank me later

Love the vids gonna have to replace both my tribits lol
Nice one man.i think Sony is top on the noise cancel game how close are these?
FIRST!
Okay, these are expensive, the Name sounds like it, I have a old Yamaha Keyboard.
2:31 - Really?
Lmao!
They have to put these pads on 1more triple driver over-ear. If they do, I'll buy them again!!
Seem like good headphones, too expensive to have connection issues and none of that is covered here
hey, i have these headphones (pre owned pair) and i haven't ever had a Bluetooth connection issue, continues connection or first pairing connection no issues what so ever

Yamaha makes headphones? I thought they only made motorcycle parts or something
Uh Rah devil dog!

Paid reviews are the worst. This one prominently being the worst offender
