Absolutely outstanding audio headphone whether from Bluetooth, wired, OR USB connection. Decent ANC. High on the bass side, but not a problem for me. If audio is your priority then a no brainer. If ANC is your priority go with Sony.
I have one , sound fantastic, a bit too much bass side, but I enjoy that. One problem is the USB port is a bit loose, I need put it on table carefully to made it connect for charge.

Got these a week ago and indeed they are bass monsters. A little distortion down low at times, but they slam and punch like nothing I've heard. Treble is good, but tame enough to let you crank the bass.
Hello Pslayer, these Yamaha 'phones are pretty well balanced. As you've tried a well known pair of 'phones and found them bass-heavy, we suggest you find a store like ours with quite a few pair on display, spend quality time with some your favorite music, and then make your pick

Great to hear it, Gary - thank you for posting this!
Ive just tried the sony xb910n but the base is far too heavy. These could be a good alternative. Would you say these are also too bass heavy ?
