    First Mass Effect saving or destroying the Rachni queen. Genuinely made me think about what I should do and what the potential represcussions would be.

      I'd personally say that curing the genophage was the tougher choice. Powerful, warmongering species tried to overrun the galaxy. They were genetically sterilised. Ending the war but resulting in a societal collapse. 1000 years later, the krogan are a dieing, fatalist people and you have a chance to cure their sterilisation. Do you do it and risk another war of conquest or not and let the slow genocide run it's course.

    It wasn't a game-ending choice but in FF7 Remake, you start chapter 10 with having fallen into the sewers, thanks to Don Corneo. Cloud wakes up first and you have to pick between first waking up either Tifa or Aerith. They did too good of a job with showing the relationship he has with both of them, so it was a really hard pick. But I think I ultimately chose Aerith. Her cutscene in the garden then turned out to be probably the most emotional moment in the game for me. She tells him not to fall in love with her and you'd expect Cloud to say something along his trademark catchphrase, "Not interested!" or something equally rough. But, no. He doesn't instantly reject her. He instead says, "Don't I get a say?" It's almost an admission. Almost. And coming from a closed-off character like Cloud, that's huge.

    I honestly believe that Life is Strange 2 is hugely underrated exactly because of how moral system for your brother works. I love how you can shape his personality and how much of an impact is has not only on endings but generally on the game. He remembers when you keep changing your mind, doubts you and so there are 2 versions of each of 2 endings and all are great, imo. I've had a lot more fun with LiS2 than LiS1, there's more actual reasons to replay it different way because your entire run counts towards the ending.

    • @Martynde

      The Walking Dead had a similar morality system with Clementine making choices for AJ - and he will eventually act out on his own following her guidance.

    The most heart wrenching choice in Life Is Strange 1 is to either end Chloe’s suffering in an alternate timeline (caused by surviving a car crash) as requested by Chloe, allowing her to her pass away peacefully in her sleep but you’ll live with the knowledge that you are the one responsible for killing her or to let her suffer a painful depressing life with her knowing she is a huge burden on her parents - and to have her blame you for her unwanted existence as you wouldn’t go through with her request of you.

    Never had a issue letting Gaunter O'dimm take Olgierds soul, he was a horrible guy. Plus with the new update you get paid way better. I had a bigger issue with either letting the kids live or let the chrones eat them in the bloody Baron quest.

    I actually never thought the choice of "Surrender" or "Cross" in LIS2 was difficult. Through the entire game, I thought the plan of "escape into Mexico despite your dad taking you away from there for your safety" was a TERRIBLE idea, and was surprised that almost nobody seemed to tell Sean and Daniel how bad it was.

  • @Eiweing
    @Eiweing ปีที่แล้ว +8

    Life is Strange 2, left me full of heartache, and I really had to evaluate my choice, and as I struggled through it, I was reaffirmed that I chose the right choice: Try to power through, even though Daniel surrendered himself. Both brothers had a relative good life, even though they were separate :)
    But anyhow you slice it the struggle is real, and no other game impacted me in such a powerful way.

    • @EverythingAnimePodcast
      @EverythingAnimePodcast ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I honestly think them separating is the worst ending cause of all it was pretty much caused by Daniel. Part one. Part 4 and part 3 ending as sneaking or not, Daniel will unleash his power

    • @Eiweing
      @Eiweing ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@EverythingAnimePodcast I could not bare the thought of Sean broken in prison, it seemed unfair. The rest could never be considered to me as that would mean that the good brothers I knew was gone, and all morality had been thrown out the window.
      But as long as you found peace with choice, that is all that matters. This is tough, as underscored by the division in our choices.

    • @miib.8910
      @miib.8910 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Eiweing Yeah, I got the redemption ending/Sean in prison, and it was painful and heartbreaking, especially when he starts to cry when they're camping. But I feel like it sits best in my mind. I think LiS 2 far exceeds the first LiS because of how they developed the brothers and how you relate to them, making the four different endings resonate vastly differently for everyone. Just thinking about it is making me emotional again.

    The Kenny vs Jane choice was really difficult for me. I walked away from the game for a half hour to think about it. In the end though I let Kenny kill Jane.
    There were a few things behind the choice. The first thing was that in the play through I imported Kenny and Lee were friends, best friends, and to me that would have influenced Clem. Second was when Kenny is facing down Luke's group he completely disarms himself on seeing Clem, even kneeling down to look at her. Let's skip ahead or I'll be typing all day. Even after arguing with Jane in the car, when they crash the first thing he does is ask if she is okay, not AJ or Clem he wanted to know Jane was okay.
    Kenny was broken and the worst thing was that he knew that but he kept on trying. I genuinely shed a tear when he was begging Clem to leave him at the end of season 2. I went with him because in the end he would die to protect his family, and in a New Frontier that's exactly what he did.

      @@milankostic2571You have a point but put into consideration all the effects that letting Chloe die will have.
      I think William would have been devastated on seeing Chloe dead on the floor Infront of her killer.
      And not to mention the fact that Chloe would die while still feeling abandoned since Rachel recently disappeared and she never met max again in that timeline.
      But that ending felt like it was the right one since we were able to 'see' Chloe's character development pay of at the end of the story as she willingly gave her life away when she realised that doing so would save Arcadia Bay, and we let her do so.
      Just finished the story today and it brought me to literal tears😢.

    Regardless of whether you shoot Kenny or let him kill Jane, there are still choices to make if you go with them. If you go with Jane back to Carver's camp, you have to decide whether to admit another family. If you go with Kenny to Wellington, you have to decide whether to go in without Kenny (the settlement is already overpopulated and won't admit all three of you), or continue traveling with him. Kenny desperately tries to convince you to stay, even admitting that he's unfit to care for AJ.

    That choice between Chloe and the Bay was such a painful one. I grew to love Chloe's character through out the game and undoing all of it to let her die at the beginning... I normally go with the morally obvious choice of sacrificing the one to save the many, but I wanted to see what exactly would happen if you save her instead. Essentially, the two of you survive for the time being, but the game suggests that the danger is far from over. Then I played again and picked the right choice and it was definitely the most satisfying of the two endings. It was depressing and painful as hell, but it was the most impactful. God... I've gotta play this game again.

    There was one that I encountered today as I played Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. When you are going to get the watchmaker’s daughter Alex contacts you that you need to get to the bank. You have the choice of either saving Allison and hopefully getting more intel on who the terrorist are or go to the bank and get intel on who the major players are that have being working in the shadows throughout the game. It’s a tough decision which I chose to go save Allison as a person’s life is more important than information on a shadow organization. Either way you continue the game but it’s one of those tough choices you have to make in a game

  • @missyprime8198

    For me the hardest choice in LIS was the Bladerunner scene.
    I'd had a conversation about end of life choices with my mum only weeks earlier where she'd asked that as the most trustworthy offspring to support her in ending things if her health deteriorated too much or if she became incapable of taking this step. She valued quality of life over quantity.
    Being hit with this in game choice so soon after that conversation made it the hardest game choice I'd ever faced.
    I cried, I put the pad down & walked away, I returned to the pad & cried some more before walking away again in tears.
    I knew what decision I'd end up making but struggled to bring myself to press the button & grant Chloe's request but it took over an hour of agonizing & crying to press that button.
    That first playthrough I saved Chloe, after going through that I couldn't bring myself to end her life again.

    Detroit Become Human: I always choose pacifism whenever i replay it, I'm personally opposed to responding to violence with more violence.

    Disband or sell out The Inquisition at the end of the Trespasser DLC was tough for me. 100 hours building it, don't want to break it up, but similarly don't want it corrupted by greedy bureaucrats.

    Kill Mordin so the cure for Krogans dont procure or let him fix it so Krogan can reproduce again but loose the backing of elite Salarian guys....

    I absolutely hated the ending of Ghost of Tsushima. Neither was the right choice. Jin needed to die to reclaim his soul. The only right choice was to allow Shimura to kill him but that wouldn't allow for sequels so the devs abandoned the samurai drama just when it became most important.

    Mass Effect Andromeda - save the Salarian pathfinder or save Drack's scouts.
    The Pathfinder is the only original pathfinder left, she was in the middle of rescuing scientists, AND she saved your ass from the Kett...
    but Drack has been a loyal and helpful friend, the Krogans have been severely mistreated by everyone, and they need as many people as possible to survive the genophage.

    I find the Olgierd vs O'Dimm choice pretty easy. Olgierd is a dumb fool did some horrible things, yes. But O'Dimm is pure evil. No way I let HIM win. I find the Baron's quest with the Witches much more difficult to decide.
    LiS... pure pain. The cut-scenes of "Save Bae" vs "Save Bay" clearly show what was the intended choice. And I don''t agree with the devs at all ;-)

    9:47 So this was the reasoning I gave for killing Kenny. It gives him PEACE. What I mean is losing both Duck (who I liked btw even though most fans seem to hate him) and Katjaa on the same day did cause him to start losing his sanity as after that u do see the starting signs and then in S2 he's full on losing it even attacking Clem at one point (I think?) and saying how he misses his family so because of that I shot him (in the head of course) so that he can join Duck and Katjaa in the afterlife that Tenn drew in S4. Although I DID go alone afterwards cause IMO Jane is untrustworthy as she ABADONED AJ in a car when even when locked Walkers have proven that they can smash glass. Personally if I could I would've killed both but that's just me.

    • @MichaeLPPL
      @MichaeLPPL ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Giving him peace wasn't your choice to make
      In new frontier we see how Kenny is returning to his normal state with Clementine and AJ, so shooting him in that moment is taking away the happy moments he could have still had

    • @davidfitzpatrick6535
      @davidfitzpatrick6535 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MichaeLPPL first off great point. Secondly I thought Kenny died in the between time between S2 and S3. I think he died in a car crash and people were so upset about "Kenny being done dirty" that a lot of people who played later chose to kill Kenny because fo that knowledge (note I played TWD vg on Switch which came out I think like 1-2 years after the other games and I think only got a same day release for S4 which IMO is the best season)

      Not really, if you talk about story you just need one to get the bad ending and from a gameplay point of view saving them gave you more adam that if you kill them, so theres no reason to think about it, its allways save or save everyone but one for bad ending
