Interesting. I'm a holder...for about 35 years. My profession demands it. However, I now have the consequences of that and I had no idea the two were related. Thx so much.
Hi Melanie, i totally understand the discomfort you are experienceing. I sufferd a lot when i was younger with kidney infections..... until my gp advised smering zalf around the urinary entrance to prevent an infection. And i drink cranberry Juice 2x a week ❤
I have 4 years with urinary pain. It dose not have a rhythm it’s spontaneous. And doc say everything is normal. What do I do ? I’m scared and no one believes me. 😢
There seems to be a lot of rules when it comes to this topic lately! I remember watching this video a couple of times, and still didn't know what they were talking about! LOL!
@godfieldsaint201- I have chronic IC and Botox did not help me unfortunately, BUT I did have Acupuncture for my bladder and that help tremendously. After 15 years and many many treatments this finally worked. There’s a word for the acupuncture treatment but I can’t remember it. The urologist puts a needle in each ankle, attach a lil prong on the needles. There’s a small device that send a wave of signal from ankle to bladder. I had to do this once a week for 12 weeks. It didn’t hurt. Again, talk to your urologist and explain, I’m sure they will understand what the procedure is called. A huge rely for me. IC has been hell for me, but this finally helped along with a good diet. Hope this helps
@@christinavega3634 I'm just trying to get my overactive bladder under control a diet = no issues with IC so I've been advised for overactive magenusim and b1 vitamins so as soon as I'm back working I'm going to get on this route consulting my doctor first. I was fired out of my field as a teacher assistant at Walmart temp job while on leave of absence for botox surgery... I should have not done you need several to see results I thought immediately results or at least a tiny difference nada smh
@@familylifetoo9541 I've tried 4 bladder pills and 1 that was over the counter it made it worse I use to go every 25 to 35 mins just got bladder botox first no results they said I need several to see results if that never helps a bladder pace maker smh
Thankyou for that. Hate click bait or watching through 20 minute videos to get to the point. Sometimes you get lucky and comes in somewhat early, others you have to wait until the end. So aggravating.
Depends of what you eat and drink. Color of urine changes throughout the day also depends on how much sugar or if you takes vitamins.

I had the surgical sling procedure after my youngest of five was 12 , It solved my problem 100%, but t doesn’t work for everyone I’ve heard …
I'm up and down all night and don't drink nothing before bed
Maybe I need a slang
This was good info. I just drank a gallon per day for 7 days for weight loss
Does it work?

i can't believe she never mentioned nurses, just doctors and teadchers.
She was just using examples off the top of her head. She didn't say police officer. Unnecessary info
Gosh, there are more than just 3 occupations that have to hold their pee! 🙄
@@skippy7208 Yes, way more.
We nurses are famous for our bladder holding capacity 😅. Her short list was just a sampler, not meant to be comprehensive. 😉
Nurses, postal workers, construction workers etc
How can they hold it I would be shaking n squeezing . Smh ! I always need a bathroom in proximity if I want to drink water throughout the day .
I had a procedure to pull up my Bladder it only helped for a time I am using disposable underwear 😮

Refreshing to see Dr Berman didn't feel compelled to be provincial, i.e. "pee" vs urine.
Did I miss the 20-second rule?
On average you should pee for 20 seconds each time, no rushing or pushing.

@@debmoore629Meant to thank you specifically 😊
I have to laugh every time I see this video, because I had watched it about three times, and still don't comprehend what this 20-second rule is! LOL!
