That’s what I do and take a bath once or twice a week just soaking in the water using a brush. What I found out that it’s the body wash that most people use that makes you stink. You never get the soap all off especially your feet, plus it’s full of chemicals. I use just enough soap to make a lather and plenty of water cleaning my underarms groin and but!😄That body wash is excellent for cleaning the sink and tub, you only need a drop in the sink and 4or5 in the tub to clean.
Growing up, we were not allowed to go to bed without bathing or showering so as an adult, it's a must to shower before going to bed. Staying clean won't kill any of us.
Right!! Us too. I can't stand not showering before going to bed. Even if I haven't done anything during the day to cause me to sweat. I have to feel clean and refreshed before I can go to sleep. There really are some stinky people out there that don't bath. I will never understand this lolol!!
You idiots that bath everyday are increasing your own stink. Since I have reduced mine to weekly, miy body oder gone. Even my armpit smell which hung in there hard. I continued to use deodorant while that was happening but haven't needed to use deodorant for 2weeks now.
I’m from the Caribbean I grew up taking a shower at least 2 times a day because it’s hot and its tropical in the Caribbean, I now live in the south in Texas I still have to bathe 2 times a day and I used to live in California in the valley it was 2 times a day . I’m sorry but I can’t not take a shower I feel icky when it’s hot. As for keeping my skin moisturized I use a lot of body lotions, body oils , body scrubs and I drink water every day to keep my skin nice.If you work like say in the medical field or like me in a warehouse it’s hot I have to take a shower when I get home, plus I’m a germaphobic person, I have to clean, I don’t like germs. I know you can’t completely get rid of germs but you have to keep them down and by taking a shower it helps to keep yourself clean and keep the germs at bay.
From the Carribbean too my dear and still lives here especially now climate change and the time gets 10 time hotter no one can stay not even one day and don’t bathe now I bathe 2-3 times daily in this terrible heat people smell that’s nastiness and not practicing proper hygiene. Yakkkkk.
So what would you say about Inuits living in northern Canada where it is freezing cold -40 on a normal day when Arctic climates lasting 8-11 months. Would you say that would warrant showering twice daily? I truly believe many factors come into play with what is necessary. I think 3 times a week can work for certain people.
@@ronnie-lynn when it’s cold you have to be careful with taking a lot of showers and going outside you can catch colds like that because I use to live in New York and Georgia and when it’s cold and say after your shower you go into the cold you can get sick. That has happened to me taking a warm shower then go outside to go to work caught a cold. During colder months a shower and then depending on the individual a sponge bath my mom used to do that at times when she was alive and living with me. Everyone in this world is different and what works for them may not work for me.
@@ronnie-lynn Since I’ve moved to Texas it’s extremely hot, humid, and muggy here so for me since I work in a warehouse I take 2 showers on the days I work, if I don’t go out on my off days 1 long shower, that day on my off days and stay inside under the A/C.😂
only night? gazupsssssssssss? only night in the place where you are, where can be hot during summer? you are just like the woman in the programa that does not like to bath
I live in a van full time. I shower about once a week but do a full body wash, all over, every evening using tea tree oil and warm water. My skin is the healthiest it has ever been.
@mylovesongs2429 I wish I had a dollar for every time I'm asked that stupid question. Vanlife is a valid lifestyle. Those of us who live this way enjoy the freedom to travel the country and be where we want to be. I can only speak for myself and my friends when I say we are clean people. We only park by the river if there is a great view.
@@jacquelinejensen5360 I was just joking about the Matt Foley joke. My brother, God rest his soul, passed away 15 months ago. He desired to buy a motor home. He wanted to live where he wanted to live, "off the grid". Unfortunately, he didn't get his wish. Have fun residing in your van. I wish you good fortune!
I'm 70 years old and have always showerd every day. When I reachd my early 60s I had really dry hair and skin. My Dr. told me I was bathing too frequently. She wanted me to bath every other day or preferable every 3 days . Hard to change, but am doing the 3 days
I am 85 now and remember when running water was a luxury, bathing was something done in creeks in the spring. I honestly do not remember people stinking when I was a kid. Maybe we were just used to it. I bath less now that I am much less mobile and showers are a risk for us oldsters anyway.
I'm single and I'm a senior citizen I don't leave the house I don't drive and my house is fairly clean I don't move around much so I only shower every 3 to 4 days. In retirement homes people are only bathed once a week. If you're not sweating and if you're not being mobile there's not that stink. If you don't leave the house you don't have environmental dirt. Now if I was in a relationship obviously we would be doing more and more showers more than likely would be needed because of affection time.... But by myself I just sit at my table and paint or I'm watching TV or I'm doing DIY crafts at my table..... I don't exercise so I don't work up a sweat.... A shower is only needed twice a weak And I don't have many wrinkles thankfully I have oily skin on my face. I do wash my face once or twice a day only because my face is oily the rest of me is normal....
@@woodswal Is senior living the same as a nursing home? And if it is the same as a nursing home, and the patient can't give themselves a bath do the nursing home workers help them take a shower? Or do they only get sponge baths?
I like the girl who stopped using cleansers on her face, and her acne cleared up👍🏼 I have never used make up and I use water and a washcloth only on my face and have never had a huge acne problem, only an occasional blemish. I'm 63
Almost 61 years old and NEVER EVER used soap on my face after I was 9 years old don't like my skin after It's all dry up and need alot of moisturizer then it feel heavy ...no thank you
When I was in my teens, my face was breaking out terribly and I was always using my face wash, my Grandma told me not to use ANY soap on my face, only warm water and a clean cloth, my acne cleared up in a week!! I'm now close to 50 and still wash my face like this!! It also keeps the wrinkles at bay also, bc soap is so drying!! Stay beautiful!!🤗🙏
So I guess it depends on the person. I do what everybody says not to do. I run hot water over my face as much as I can stand to open pores and scrub with plain Dial soap. Then after that I use rubbing alcohol to clean off any left over soap residue or something missed. Drs say not to do it but I have been for over 20 years. I can't stand the feel of oil on my face and this is what feels good to me. I clean my face with rubbing alcohol morning and night everyday.
I take a bath every day then stand up and shower. Sometimes twice a day. When I was young my mother didn't bathe me or wash my hair, so I became obsessed with being clean.
My mother has always been filthy. My first purchase with my own money as a child was a bottle of bleach- I was about 8. I love a clean bathroom with clean dry towels. My first step on getting home from work is to use the bidet, being clean is still so special.
Interesting that they don’t mention how your skin and hair changes during menopause. I went from having oily hair and skin to dry overnight. I simply don’t need to wash as often.
Ikr? I had dry skin and hair prior to menopause and it became worse and my hair started thinning. If I scrub daily, it's horrible. I'd dealt with dry skin but never dandruff until now when I wash too much.
@lesleyhubble2976 .... I read your comment and I'm sorry that this brings you some depressed thoughts .... I was wondering if you are taking Zinc , Omega 3's and a B 12 Complex ... these all have an effect on hair/ skin and are beneficial. We need certain Supplements that don't have an adequate amount from the food we eat, that often has a bearing on our hair_ skin / nails, etc. 🙂
Cleansing your (oily) skin with an oil based cleanser makes perfect sense. It tricks the sebatious glands into thinking they have enough oil, and to not produce more oil. I used to make an olive oil, (sugar or salt) facial scrub and results were asolutely wonderful.
Would you be so kind as to share your recipe? I’m trying to figure out if I should use a DIY salt or sugar scrub. Thanks for any replies! Love & Light from Miami Shores🦚 Stay safe mate✌🏼🌎 Have a care for one another🌱
@@katherinea.williams3044 Absolutely. It's not really a recipe per say, it's just what I did. Just get you a small container with a lid, add some sugar or salt, add just enough olive oil & mix to make it a "wet" consistancy, (like sand after the ocean swept over it) You can even add some drops of essential oil, if you want, for scent (but not necessary). I used soft circular motions, and simply rinced off. (Disclaimer, I am not a DR. nor an Esthetician!) I personally used this on my skin (face) and loved the way my skin looked and felt. Use with gentle pressure on your face. Hope this helps. 😊😊
Dumbest statement ever. Why the hell would anyone need to 'trick' the 'sebatious' glands 'into thinking' anything. Glands don't think. That's the function of the brain. Just bathe and stop the nonsense.
I had 6 siblings. We had bath time on Wed and Sat nights, the tub could be filled ankle deep as nobody washed in the same water. But, after dinner we had to get ready for bed. That meant washing your hands, face, pits, privates and feet before bed. You brushed your teeth and for some reason us girls braided our hair to avoid tangled hair. My husband showers twice a day bc he sweats and stinks, a quick shower a day is fine for me. I remember the fresh smell taking a bubble bath and in those early days, our sheets were IRONED and starched! Same with our dresses. Nobody went to church without being in your Sunday best and squeaky clean.
Meeeeee too! Hey, 👋 what are your thoughts for washing your hair twice a day as well? I have to! My body doesn't feel clean unless I feel the water dripping down from my hair! I need to still wash my hair each time I'm in the shower. I'm afraid I'll try it out. Does that happen?
Every other day.....😢 Not with my mother. When I was younger, I used to take shower everyday. Now I do it twice a day, I'm a female so that's said a lot.
Some people smell after a day like the gentlemen said. Especially during sex if you don't like how the other smells it can lead to relationship problems.
When going through chemo, my nurse suggested I use Johnson’s baby shampoo on my entire body including the face for the rest of my life. I fell off the track, but on again and what a difference. No need for expensive washes, soaps or shampoos.
I shampoo my hair twice a week and shower once or twice a week esp during winter. It started since working from home. Before, I would shower everyday and shampoo every other day. The feeling is just the same. The only thing that did not change as my daily routine is washing my face, brushing my teeth morning and night time and washing my vajj and booty everyday. I'm almost retiring. I believe the more you clean yourself, the more you get more prone to bacteria and the more your immune system gets weaker.
I showered every day pretty much my whole life, except maybe a day on the weekend. Then when I started working from home I started showering about every other day. On days I don’t shower, I still wash my face, use deodorant, use wipes for the important areas and dry shampoo for my hair (I’ve heard that’s called a “white trash bath”🤣.) Works for me, esp if I’m staying home all day🤷🏼♀️
Exactly! I worked in offices for years, had to get up, shower and get dressed up, do my hair, etc. every day. I wouldn't even go out of the house without doing my hair and makeup. Then I started working at home and I didn't care as much, but still dressed and did my makeup to go out. Now I'm retired and I don't wear makeup to go out, and dress a lot more casually.
I knew an elderly lady who only rinsed her face, she bathed every 3 days but never put soap on her face. Her skin was FABULOUS!! She was in her eighties and had virtually NO wrinkles on her face! I was so envious.
I'm 79, and shower and wash my hair about every 3 days. I have NO body odor, but I do wash the vaginal area with plan water at least one - two times per day to keep that area clean because that is where we release our processed liquids and solids. I also wash my face with water only, with a wash cloth every day. I use ONLY Dr. Bronner's natural, non chemical, gentle soap for bathing. I use TOM'S deodorant which is made with naturally derived ingredients, and NO chemicals. I always dip the deodorant stick into baking soda for extra "Natural" protection. I use only organic apricot oil as a lotion for my face and my entire body. It is free of the chemicals found in many lotions and is actually very medicinal. I have gotten rid of Psoriasis on my hand with it, when even a prescription from my doctor wouldn't heal it! I healed my once very dry, cracked and sometimes bleeding heels with organic apricot oil and now they are in great shape. I've been using only the apricot oil for at least 6 years after doing intense research on nutrition and a healthy lifestyle. As I have gotten older my once oily skin has become dryer and I don't feel the necessity to bath every day and I never have any odor! And Yes, my nose works well. 😄I live in a pretty mild climate, therefore I don't have a problem of getting sweaty, as sweating may have a tendency to cause more body odor. I eat an organic plant based diet, with a small piece of organic meat only once per day. I very seldom have any sugar, and don't buy processed foods full of sugar and chemicals, or eat fast foods or junk food which is sooo unhealthy for you! I eat some yummy fruit for dessert. I take zinc, D3, and organic Amla (the best Vit C available) to strengthen my immune system. I have not had a cold or the flu for over 20 yrs, and don't get flu shots, with the exception of the Covid shots. I did get them! I try to power walk a mile or so 4 - 5 times per week. Focusing on a healthy lifestyle keeps one healthy! BTW, I constantly get compliments on my "young" looking face which has very few wrinkles! Blessings! 💞
I haven’t used soap on my face for many, many years. Even before I stopped using soap, I washed my face only twice a week with soap. But I definitely noticed a difference when I stopped using soap on my face all together.
@@teep2056 you would bet wrong. Just like I wash my hair every cca 9days and it cleaner and non oily, but those who wash it every other day is. Not everyone is the same or has same habits, food... People are just brainwashed
Everyone has always asked me what my skin care regiment is because my face has always been clear. I simply wash with soap and water once a day if even that. Sometimes its every other day
What do the ladies mean not taking a shower the ladies have an odour in their private parts so how come they avoid taking a shower that is absolutely disgusting 😮
My kids and I take a shower in the morning and another at night before we put head to pillow, and if it gets too hot in the summer months we also take a mid day as well.
I think it depends on the individual. Some people have skin issues and hair issues so they cannot shower everyday. I shower every other day and I wash my hair 2 times a week. If I shower everyday, my skin gets so dry despite the really good body wash I use. Washing my hair daily depletes all the oils in my scalp and gives me major dry scalp and the dry skin just starts spreading through my hair while brushing and it looks disgusting. I do wash my face, underarms and private areas daily.
Different people have different bathing needs. Someone not sexually active and not physically active doesn't need to bath as frequently as active people. They still need to wash daily, but not necessarily getting into a tub of water or shower.
My son, easily showers up to 4 times on weekends or when he's on leave, especially in summer. I'm not lying, he showers when he wakes up, goes to his barber, for example. Come home, takes a 2nd shower. Takes a nap, get up and takes a 3rd shower before going out. He moved out, but I can't say I'm saving on the water bill .
I shower everyday and I don’t care about what anyone says, I am going to continue to. I put on a lot of weight and definitely need to shower and sometimes more than once a day. I feel better mentally when I shower. Especially since i pee and poop daily, as a woman with a vagina, I need to wash myself. I think this is a personal issue. Also, I think that you should be respectful to those around you. As long as you’re not stinking really badly and choking me with you funk, I don’t care about your hygiene habits because they don’t affect me negatively.
Exactly! As a human everyone is suppose to bathe everyday and btw men be smelling down there too(do research), its not just women. But overall, you're absolutely right
I have a skin condition and I also don’t sweat, my doctor’s have always said every 3-4 days is best, unless I got dirty. Then it needs to be cool water, no longer than 10 minutes and have to use special cleaners. Just wash my face and private areas. I wash my hair once a week and have never once seen my hair greasy since I lack oils that most people have. Showering every day or every other is just horrible.
I live in Barbados and it is hot, as far as I know the majority of us on the island baths twice a day. Before work and after when you get back home, I don't work but still bath twice, it's to hot and you always feel sweaty and funky. I was my hair once a month.
Im 75 and live alone. I shower once a week - every morning I wash Face/Neck, Armpits and Bottom. I rinse my Hair in Shower, but wash it only once a month. I haven't used Makeup since March 2020. Being stuck at home, there was no reason to wear it... 13:00
I've lived in houses that didn't have a shower, so I had to take a bath. But to me, I feel like I'm sitting in my own dirt. I've rented a couple of houses where the landlord let me install a shower. I rented one house where I completely remodeled the bathroom, and it definitely had a shower when I was done.
I think certain areas of the body need to be washed frequently (every time they get dirty), like hands, especially as a cook, I wash my hands before I handle the meat and right after I handle the meat, cause I know this is one of the most important ways to protect us from food poisoning from the meat bacteria, but I tend to repeat washing my hands in between every dish I make due to cross contamination. Other obviously areas of the body needing frequent washing, our privates, armpits, feet.... and of course if you have any infected spots or boils, they should be cleaned a rebandaged several times a day depending how bad it is. If it's not too bad, possibly only once or twice a day, but I have better results when I wash with black african soap.
Ya know, you don't have to take an entire shower or bath to keep your bits, face, and pits fresh in between. Also, I am a big believer in letting your body and bits breathe. Air your body and/or bits out when you're sleeping, including feet. So much time and resources is wasted over-showering/bathing, and, it dries you out, hair included.
Hi Dr Oz I bathe two times a day. Dear lord after the long day if a person doesn’t bathe before bed YUCK ! Dear lord who wants to ap smell before you go to bed at night and if your with another person please BATHE ! And in morning too before you go out refresh yourself folks wash private parts underarms that do smell seriously 🙏🙏🙏💕
I used to shower and wash my hair every single day. Then I had to stay in bed after a fall that injured my spine. So 6 weeks with only sponge baths and not every day. 1st week horrible odor and oily hair and acne. After 3 weeks hair wasn't looking dirty until after a week of no washing and skin had cleared up (I had adult acne my entire adult life). Now i wash my hair twice a week and shower about every 4 days. Asked my sister if she smelled anything bad (she doesn't lie to save anyone's feelings) and she said i smell tge same as ever. So yeah if does work.
Since I've been living on the road for the past several years I gradually got down to actually bathing hardly ever more than the privates and sometimes a wet wash cloth wipe down. I wash my hair a few times a month or more of everything if I'm sweaty or dirty but don't miss the daily showers anymore. I don't think I smell but Could be really amiss there. My dogs don't seem to mind. 😅🎉
I used to have horrible acne for years and stopped using makeup foundation in 2020 when we had to start wearing masks. I haven't had a single pimple since. I still wash my face twice a day, but no longer use a wash for oily skin. As far as showering, every few days now works well and I haven't had body odor as I noticed before when I was over washing every day. My hair also changed, as I used to wash it every 2 days and it would get overly oily by the second day, but now wash my hair once or twice a week and it looks like it's been washed.
I don’t get in my bed until I shower/wash the day off. Creeps me out just thinking about the germs on my body and clothing after being at work all day. Early morning showers too, most days unless I am not going out.
I am 72 yrs old and I look like 60. I have never been in the habit of bathing often since a child. As a child with no bath tub, we had to heat up the waster and bath in an alimiinum tub. I have always been complimented on my how soft and young my skin looks like. But... If i do alot and sweat, I do go in the shower and and use my black soak, (has oils in it) rub it all over and rinse, my real bath is actually like every 6 to 7 days. A quick rinse private parts, ears, underarms are inbetween. It keeps me young. All no cavities at all, I gargle after each meal. I never swalkow my morning salvia before I brush teeth first. I purposely, almost after every rest room watching hands spash water on my arms chest shoulders and face. I eat lots of berries, all kinds every day,eat meast seldom. I eat salmon, sardines. Lots of herbs. Examole breakfast at leadt twice a week: oatmeal, First I simmer water with 3 chopped dates, ginger, cardaman, vanila extract, cinnamon(ceylon), very tiny nugmeg pinch, oatmeal next when done I add all my frozen organic berries on top cover and wait 10 me Inutes and then eat. I drink lots of teas for what I hear my body tell me ails me. Much more. Love life live long. God First, a clear mind, stable and ready for anything, I can solve anything, by my lifestyle, read, study a language and help others and socialize, smile more. Love ya all, Thank you Dr. Oz.
I'm 75 and was finally left alone in high school to my own cleansing regime. I realized I had extremely dry skin that was uncomfortable. So since around 14 yo I only used soap on private parts and just plain water on the rest. My face has never felt soap tho I use dry skin moisturizer after a hot water wash. I've never had a pimple and have always been surprised at the constant compliments on my perfect, soft skin (all over), even in old age.
Please shower twice a day. In the morning before going out in public and at night before going to bed. Nobody wants to smell you. I have walked past people and smelled them. Guaranteed they skipped a day or two
No adult should be asking. How much should you wash your behind or how much water to drink or when should you eat? You should know these things do what you think is necessary for your body
I make my own foaming face wash and moisturizer. It is so great!! Make my own soap, deodorant, lotion, lip balm. I know exactly what the ingredients are. My family looks forward to getting these products as gifts.😊 You should try it!! I'm 71 and if I can do it, anyone can!
From what I've read, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis said they washed off between bathing. They don't go a whole week between bathing without washing off. They take sponge baths. If you shower/bathe a couple times per week, and sponge off on the other days of the week, you're still cleaning yourself, you're just not getting into the shower or tub every day. They're cleaning the important parts often.
i've done this. actually that's the norm. I'm too lazy. It feels like a much longer process in my mind than it is. I don't have 2-4 hours. Then I'm done in 20 minutes and I think "man, why don't I do this more? Ho would my life improve if I did this", here comes the 2-4 hours
In the New Mexico summer, i shower 2-3 times a day. I cannot stand to be sweaty. In winter, 1-2 showers a day depending on temp and how sweaty i get. Im 80 yrs old.
Jamaican mothers instill in every child: brush teeth and bathe morning and before bed...more if you go out in the evening too; put on clean clothes after each shower; put on clean bedsheets every week (or oftener). There are particular leaves and oils that will get rid of acne, eczema, dry skin etc. Natural remedies grow in the backyard. 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
In the old days on the farm, people only took a bath on Saturday night. When all you had was a wash tub and had to pump the water and heat some on the stove, it was a process. Most did not have running water back then. But they survived. But then I am 82 years old and younger people do not know what it was like back then. Saturday night was when all the people went to town to shop, and talk to their neighbors. The town was a busy place until midnight. It was a wonderful time to be alive. So bathing was only important on Saturday night.
I am 79, people frequently praise me for my skin that I do not have a lot of wrinkles as many of my age and much younger do. It may be inherited as I am of Italian/Irish decent. I do not use expensive lotions and potions on my skin. I use mild shampoo on my hair and ALWAYS use a light conditioner or coconut/olive oil mix and leave it in for at least 10 minutes. I do use coconut oil to remove makeup when I wear it, never makeup remover. I never wear foundation or powder, it gets into my pores and can cause breakouts on me, everyone is different. I do gently pat on a clear coat of primer especially under my eyes when I am going out. I do have slight crows feet so that helps the skin under my eyes. I used to pluck my eyebrows but now I don’t they don’t grow as thickly as they did when I was much younger.
I rinse off everyday if at all possible, sometimes it's not possible. However I only shampoo when it's absolutely necessary and just rinse my hair otherwise. I do not use soap to get clean. I use grape seed oil or some other light oil that's good at drawing dirt. I use lemon juice on my pits and I never stink. And my hair does a natural style when I'm just rinsing it.
My skin itch and goes dry without daily moisturizing showers. Plus, I love the scent of a fresh body. Mentality, it is refreshingly stimulating to be clean too.
Twice a day….morning and evening before bed! Morning to help wake up and gets my day going…evening shower to help me sleep and just feel clean after a long day.
I wash my face with water daily and only exfoliate once a week in the shower, stopped using creams stopped with facial cleansers and my acne has gone away, skin is much more firm :)
Since the beginning of the plandemic I'm still working from home and I shower every other day during the spring and summer months and in the fall in the winter I shower every 2nd to 3rd day... and during that time that I have not showered I do not smell I do not have a bad odor I clean in between an all-around on those non shower days... and my skin thanks me for it because too much showering will dry out your skin and my skin is dry Unfortunately I'm not able to do physical activity such as going for a walk so going to the gym so that's another reason why I don't sweat and stink
No guilt showering every morning. But i use healthy goat milk soap . I do not soak in hot wa5er but shower in lukewarm water and for only 5 minutes. If i dont shower i will wash my under arms and private areas but actually skin brush my arms and legs and torso. You feel great and awake. I do wash my hair daily because uts fine and straight. But i use moisturizing natural shampoo. You have to detox your soap and shampoo choices. Use healthy ahd natural. My skin is very soft.
I have psoriasis. If I showered every day, my skin, scalp and hair would be like a desert. I fully shower once a week. Underarms and private parts as needed. I also use a very good deodorant, good for 72 hours. Antiperspirants are toxic to me. IF I feel the need for a semi- clean up, I do what my mother used to call a "bird bath". To date, no one knows or can tell what I do or don't do, nor how often.😊
In your garden illustration section, you said washing removes the "bad weeds" and leaves the "flowers". This seems strange and missing explanation of how the soap distinguishes between good and bad bacteria. Surely washing with soap just gets rid of both good and bad bacteria equally.
I got hives, rashes and had awful itchy scalp. Told I was showering too often, my water was too hot and to use very mild soaps or emulsifying ointment and change fabric detergents by doctor. He suggested I just wash the "hotspots" with a facecloth. Granted I don't live in a hot climate and I don't have a tendency for greasy hair or skin. In winter I have full shower twice a week. If weather is very, very hot I might have a little or no soap cool showers every day, especially if I get sweaty. I have a tendency to eczema, hives dermatitis though.
I'm not very active, I don't sweat much and I take a shower once a week my shower day is also the day I choose to mow the grass and do my outside heavy work I do wash my face and privates every morning but the rest is unnecessary. I get compliments about my good skin.
I agree with the lady that says your skin gets better when you do nothing to it. I clean my face with warm water and a cloth at night then moisturize.. I only wash my face if I feel it may be germy or if I have makeup on that day. Probably ever other time I do wash with soap I get acne
I hit the hot spots daily and shower all over at least every other day, I used to bathe and shower twice a day and i got to the point i was scratching my skin off, my doctor said my skin was too dry to bathe every single day, but okay to hit the hot spots (underarm and private partsP
I have very dry skin and dry hair. I shower when ever I feel like it. I prefer baths but we only have one bathtub. My husband leaves it gross so I have to clean the bathtub before I can use it. Just not worth the trouble. So it might be once a month I do the shower thing. Most likely when I want to do my hair. I am 78 years old. I don’t do anything to make me sweat or anything that makes me get dirty. I do the wash the important parts daily.
I felt I got little information on the content. Sometimes I shower daily, Sometimes a couple times a week. If I have an important event or meeting, I make sure my hair is a day or two washed before, my hair shines after 48 hours after washing.
Even if you don’t bathe, you absolutely MUST clean your underarms and private parts everyday.
Feet also, absolutely 💯 %
You must have a full bath everyday
If you don’t bathe your entire body everyday you’re 🤢
Growing up, we were not allowed to go to bed without bathing or showering so as an adult, it's a must to shower before going to bed. Staying clean won't kill any of us.
Staying dirty will
Right!! Us too. I can't stand not showering before going to bed. Even if I haven't done anything during the day to cause me to sweat. I have to feel clean and refreshed before I can go to sleep. There really are some stinky people out there that don't bath. I will never understand this lolol!!
We washed our feet, because we walked barefoot all day.
Once a week we shared a bathtub. (Not at the same time)
I grew up ok.

You idiots that bath everyday are increasing your own stink. Since I have reduced mine to weekly, miy body oder gone. Even my armpit smell which hung in there hard. I continued to use deodorant while that was happening but haven't needed to use deodorant for 2weeks now.
It makes me feel lighter 😂 seriously though.

During colder months a shower and then depending on the individual a sponge bath my mom used to do that at times when she was alive and living with me. Is it down by the river?
@mylovesongs2429 I wish I had a dollar for every time I'm asked that stupid question. Vanlife is a valid lifestyle.
Yes...i too used to shower daily, and even twice a day at times. Now i am in my 60's and go 2 to 3 days. My skin is much healthier.

I'm now close to 50 and still wash my face like this!! It also keeps the wrinkles at bay also, bc soap is so drying!! Stay beautiful!!🤗🙏
My mom told me the same thing and I’m 43 😊
So I guess it depends on the person. I do what everybody says not to do. I run hot water over my face as much as I can stand to open pores and scrub with plain Dial soap. Then after that I use rubbing alcohol to clean off any left over soap residue or something missed. Drs say not to do it but I have been for over 20 years. I can't stand the feel of oil on my face and this is what feels good to me. I clean my face with rubbing alcohol morning and night everyday.
@@glendagentry5959 Lol!! I also use alcohol for breakouts (if any) and after I pluck my eyebrows!! The simpler ingredients the better!!!
I take a bath every day then stand up and shower. Sometimes twice a day. When I was young my mother didn't bathe me or wash my hair, so I became obsessed with being clean.
That style(bathing then standing up and showering is called a Bashow- it’s the only way to go IMHO! Try it!

Not with my mother.

I live alone & I birdbathe strategic points every day,but only shower once a week. I shower daily when traveling or around my family.
Is there a reason why you dont bathe daily?
I shampoo my hair twice a week and shower once or twice a week esp during winter. It started since working from home. Before, I would shower everyday and shampoo every other day. The feeling is just the same. The only thing that did not change as my daily routine is washing my face, brushing my teeth morning and night time and washing my vajj and booty everyday. I'm almost retiring. I believe the more you clean yourself, the more you get more prone to bacteria and the more your immune system gets weaker.
🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

Blessings! 💞

@@tashajones3661 Hello somebody!
You're supposed to shower everyday not every other day.
Everyday is a must, no excuses
Different people have different bathing needs. Someone not sexually active and not physically active doesn't need to bath as frequently as active people. They still need to wash daily, but not necessarily getting into a tub of water or shower.
I have always taken a shower twice a day.
Wow that was compulsive
I shower everyday and I don’t care about what anyone says, I am going to continue to. I put on a lot of weight and definitely need to shower and sometimes more than once a day. I feel better mentally when I shower. Especially since i pee and poop daily, as a woman with a vagina, I need to wash myself. I think this is a personal issue. Also, I think that you should be respectful to those around you. As long as you’re not stinking really badly and choking me with you funk, I don’t care about your hygiene habits because they don’t affect me negatively.

Water is healing I love it
In the old days on the farm, people only took a bath on Saturday night.
Caribbean people take shower twice daily 🚿
My skin itch and goes dry without daily moisturizing showers. Plus, I love the scent of a fresh body. Mentality, it is refreshingly stimulating to be clean too.
Twice a day….morning and evening before bed! Morning to help wake up and gets my day going…evening shower to help me sleep and just feel clean after a long day.
No question bathing everyday is amust at least twice a day just like brushing your teeth a must everyday😊😊
If you dont have regular running water invest in a 50p gal tank or something bathing a must no question.
Twice a day every day and three times on extra hot summer days❤❤
I wash my face with water daily and only exfoliate once a week in the shower, stopped using creams stopped with facial cleansers and my acne has gone away, skin is much more firm :)
Every couple days or so , but I’m a senior and don’t do a lot of activities , my skin is so dry also
I totally agree Dr. Oz & found thru the years…you & the dermatologist are right on target. Thank you for confirming 😊💞🩵
Since the beginning of the plandemic I'm still working from home and I shower every other day during the spring and summer months and in the fall in the winter I shower every 2nd to 3rd day... and during that time that I have not showered I do not smell I do not have a bad odor I clean in between an all-around on those non shower days... and my skin thanks me for it because too much showering will dry out your skin and my skin is dry
Unfortunately I'm not able to do physical activity such as going for a walk so going to the gym so that's another reason why I don't sweat and stink
As a kid we only got to bath once a week. We had no running water. Twice a week is plenty I think
In your garden illustration section, you said washing removes the "bad weeds" and leaves the "flowers". This seems strange and missing explanation of how the soap distinguishes between good and bad bacteria. Surely washing with soap just gets rid of both good and bad bacteria equally.
Some don't like showering daily but smell the bedding, it stinks. That's definitely an indicator that yeah we need to shower.
Ebeuday is a rule of thumb for me esp for women OMG need to shower everyday
