Was there in 1998, first lads holiday. 17 years young. What a great time we had at Manumission, was an eye opener for sure. Best clubbing night I've ever had.
Went back in 1999 and jumped in the pool which started load of people jumping in. Was all fun and games until a fat lass jumped on my mates collarbone.
Was there in 96/97 for Manumission & it blew me away, lost my mates for hours in there, found one of them hugging a palm tree growing inside the club. Fond memories!

The best experience of clubbing I've ever had was Privilege with my husband 12 years ago, end of June. DJ Sammy played Heaven and I was awestruck. Left for the last bus back to San An about 6am. Best memory in forever. Thanks for showing us what's happening now.

Ah Dwayne, I feel your pain, fella :( It's genuinely heartbreaking to see this once magnificent venue - the location of so many people's 'best nights of their life' - rotting away. In fact, it's shocking how dilapidated it's become in just the two years since you were last in there during Covid. During the mid-to-late '90s I went there for three Manumission parties. A lot of things are overhyped in clubland, especially once nostalgia kicks in, but those parties definitely earned their legendary status. I'd never seen a club of that scale with such incredible production values before. It was literally awe-inspiring ... trapeze artists, dwarves, confetti cannons, porn stars, stilt walkers. Pure theatre! Remember seeing Sonique and Boy George DJ-ing there; hearing Nalin & Kane's Beachball for the first time and getting lost in all the weird nooks-and-crannies of that enormous barn. Last time I visited was for a vaguely work-related thing in about 2004-5, when Kaiser Chiefs played Ibiza Rocks in Vista. I popped my head around the door to see the empty main room, just for old time's sake. I've got so many precious memories of raving in Privilege with beloved friends who are now lost to me. I went back to Ibiza this summer for the first time clubbing in about 20 years and I'd really hoped I could just dance there one last time and say my goodbyes, but it wasn't to be. Somebody please save this magical palace of pleasure!!!

Amazing nights sure it was Manumission on a Monday night ... seemed to remember the dummy/ mannequin figures on trapeze etc ... unbelievable nights and memories here . Durham UK 🇬🇧 ❤
Saw Mauro Picotto (during a Meganite event) in the early 2000’s. Disco bus left us on side of the highway due to someone trying to tip the bus over. Walked to the club. Adrenaline pumping. The sheer size of it was incredible. Got inside, awesome vibe. Probably a couple of thousand people. Stayed until the end (6am I think). Left the club and it was clear blue skies. So surreal. Missed the shuttle back to my hotel so walked back instead.
At least +30 Celsius.
So sad to see the club in this state.

I was at Privilege to see A State of Trance with Armin van Buuren amongst others in 2012 and 2013. I started going clubbing in Ibiza in 2010 to see Trance events, still go to Ibiza each June but stopped going clubbing last year in 2022. Since 2010, I have been to Amnesia, Privilege, Space, Hi Ibiza and Ushuaia. All were great nights out. My nights out at Privilege for A State of Trance were the best out of all of them though. Great times and memories!

First club I ever went to anywhere. 15 years old on holiday with my mate and his parents. It was Tiesto Monday (think it was Monday) and it blew my mind. Later on in the week we were meant to see David Guetta at Pacha but he had to pull out and was replaced by some unknown (to us) DJ called Avicii. Levels was stuck in my head for the next year.

Man, I was the resident vj in 2007. Working every day but Friday. A lot of good memories. Amnesia and other clubs only opened in the middle of summer due to problems with the police, so even Cocoon took place at Privilege. Not bad vjing at the Cocoon party at a club the size of Privilege. Great nights.
Sad to see...Billy Rae Martin singing up on the balcony as we all hugged on a podium...meeting Maradona and mistaking him for one of the cleaners...otherwise I wouldn't have dared....fireworks setting fire to the drapes, Manumission, the greatest blag ever...xxx
1995 for manumission on a Monday night and it blew my mind the scale of the place, think it was still KU as well then........amazing place
I first went, I think it was the second or third night of the season on Monday in June 1995.
And yes, it was still called KU. I believe it changed to Privilege during the Winter of that year.
2004, Manumission. It was a time when you weren't aloud cameras in the clubs. I somehow managed to get a camera in and wangled my way into the VIP at the vista club where Goldie Lookin Chain were playing. Managed a photo with Mike & Claire from manumission. Great night, headed to Space straight after it.
Next time here was 2009/10 i think, Tiesto played, huge thunder and lightening storm behind him when he was playing, unreal.

As always Dwayne great vlog. Similar to the rest of the comments, many great memories of Privilege. First went about 96/97 for the legendary Manumission. Unbelievable club night. Your vlogs are always so different, but you always manage to produce content that we all love. Keep doing your stuff mate, we all love your content.
I was there in 96 too. It was Manumission with Pete Tong DJing. I even jump in the pool fully clothed. Those were days. ‘96 was also a great year for classic Ibiza tunes too. So sad to see like this. (Ps I’m now 52y/o and still love those banging tunes).
Norman Cook djing in the bogs when I first went in early 90’s. Manumission the movie premiere was great and getting on the secret coco loco drinks blew my mind. Amazing club.

Manumission on a Monday night sometime in 1998! We all walked in from the main entrance and was totally, totally blown away by the sheer size of the place! The place was bouncing…. So many places to explore in there, and believe me we went everywhere in it! The sun coming in from the back through the windows, all still dancing off our heads…. Packed dance floor.. music pumping!
That was my first time in Privilege…. How I’d love to roll back the years…. An amazing place.. gave me goosebumps watching that mate… I could cry lol!

They spoilt it in later years by building the stage and blocking out the iconic wall at the back of floor to ceiling glass windows.
Seeing the sun rise above the mountains in the distance and shining into the club used to be an absolutely breathtaking experience…
Tiesto in search of sunrise first time in ibiza walking in and around the corner to see how big the place was . This place made we fall in love with ibiza, been coming back ever since
Great Post Dwayne, when you walked around the back to the car park, the big wall & the back stairs where the guest listers go in, memories come flooding back.
This was an incredible club, more like another planet where you had an instant family once you were in. It must be very strange to stand there in silent daylight, a million miles removed from the glory days!

Amazing memories, Dwayne you made mention to the Ku. Remember Oakenfold coming live from the Ku across radio 1. That mix was the mix that suckered me into the movement we call Dance. My first experience was in 96.... and that lasted to summer 2000....
Possibly some of my best experiences were at Manumission in Privilege between '97 and 2007. The DJ in the loo's below the stage, randomers outside in the dome etc. So many good memories.

Glad I got the chance to visit in 98. Very impressive and it set a new standard for me in terms of the show element. In all honesty though, my most memorable club nights weren't in these types of places.
12 years ago, 2010 or 2011 Francesco Farfa of the famous underground Interactive Test label; the music he played; just WOW! It was my very first night out in Ibiza, on the very first day I arrived! I just arrived in my hotel and immediately received a flyer for a special evening there! I couldn’t have had a better start of my holiday; and personally probably the best start ever for a holiday! Hope they will find a way to reopen in the future; good memories! ☺️👍

I've never been depressed by your videos before but this was tough.
'98 was my first time at Privilege. I've been back many times over the years and had some amazing experiences. I've met George Michael there, Eric Prydz and even Robert Plant from Led Zeppelin but my main claim to fame was getting a kiss on the cheek from Kylie Minogue. I had worked back stage security for her at London Pride two years before and she actually remembered me. How cool is that? I still haven't washed my face 😂
So sad to see it now and I hope it returns better than ever. But that would be a tall order.

90s wet and wild at What was then the wildest and most diverse party in Ibiza , Manumission ,! never failed to raise ones eyebrows , for me it was always the performance on the night, amazing lay out, and importantly the space ! add in the big name DJs which attracted everyone from all corners of the island even had a pool for the early years , for me the best time on the island would always be in August and the Radio one essential selection weekend 🤣😍 all of the above in my opinion the best dance era 1990s early 2000s with the birth and sadly the death of the super clubs ! so lucky to have been apart of it !
Manumission '99 at Privilege was life changing. Then Manumission 2001 with the Coco Loco & Colin rockin it until sunrise...with the tough & pumping Trade Room in back. We were so spoiled!! Bring those days of peace, harmony & beautiful people back...no phones everywhere & no worry anout trashy evidence on social media!

one of my all time favourite memory's was Tiesto playing here in 2010 on our first Lads holiday on the island and I was so overwhelmed by the sheer scale of the club and the production that went into one of the greatest nights clubbing I've had in my life to this day !!

I went to solid grooves in the Vista club on my first trip to Ibiza in 2019. Glad I got to experience it before it closed down. The smoking area was really cool aswell
2019 missed 2 flights home stayed extra 5 days partying last night there was privilage! and I'm cominggg back this Sunday 20th 12 strong 💪🎉 ibiza is my heaven 🙌
Went here in 2012 was blown away by the size of the place! Ferraris and lambos parked out the front when we got there was only 21 with two of my mates, remember thinking “you better not lose the boys in here or your fucked” lol ended up buying some duff pills that ruined our night! Always wished it had been better! Still fond memories and glad I got to see it in all its glory.

Yeah, debuted in 1994. I remember the hysteria about it on Radio 1 with Pete Tong talking about it and the music publications of the time - DJ Magazine & Mixmag.
My mind was made up.
I went there the following year.
Those early days were mind blowing.
Caught the last couple years of Manumission before it sadly moved to Amnesia, then some epic nights throughout the years ending with Resistance with Carl Cox, Eats Everything & loads more. Will be missed just as much as Space :(
seeing Tiesto 2008 the light show was something very special! an staying till the end an he Chuck his headphones into the crowd!

What a sorry state the place is in, had some of my best nights in the there including Manumission back in around 97-98. Can only hope that the new owners ( did i read that the same people that run Ushuaïa are now going to run it ) return it back to how it once was.

First time I went was 04 for manumission. Then I went again in 05 for Mauro picotto's Meganite. Amazing venue. ❤️
It's a shame this club is in the state it is. I spent a lot of parties there. I think that after Tiesto and other big headliners left, the club started to have problems. And then it became unprofitable. I remember it was for sale, but apparently nobody ever bought it. There's a lot of competition for clubs on the island. To reopen a club is very difficult, almost impossible, it's not profitable, you need a lot of money. And there's no guarantee it'll be as popular again. Thank you, Prividge, for a happy time! 🙌❤

I think my first memory was extravaganza with graham gold. Loved the garden. Got to experience manumission, tiesto and supermartx. Loved escaping the madness of the main room in the vista club.

First time in the club was 1997 blew my mind away (manumission) sunrise with the roof top opening was a emotional feeling that sticks with me forever. I actually worked worked in there labouring preseason 2000 there were pallets of water and redbulls for us stashed a load round the club that was us sorted for opening night lol

Very fond memories, only visited 3 times - summer of 1997 - of course for the legendary Manumission. What I do remember is the variable pricing during the season. 4000 pesetas with flyer at start of season upto 7500 pesetas without a flyer during high summer, about 250 pesetas to the pound - a pack of local smokes more or less! went once early in the season, I think for Danny Rampling and then for Carl Cox and then Sasha. I think the Carl Cox night was the best night I had there. Such a shame its in the state that it is, did it ever reopen after Covid?? I'm 50 next year and planning a trip with the family, most likely be towards the end of season due to work commitments, but really looking forward to taking a look around and seeing whats changed...

What a fantastic club, I went in 1995 for the closing party when it was still Ku. If I remember rightly we saw John Digweed, and Sasha. I think Paul Oakenfold played there too but it was very messy and a long time ago! Best night ever, so sad to see it in such a state.

We were there on Saturday night, well Sunday 1am we got there after we should have arrived the Thursday earlier in the week! Missed flights, re-booked flights… long story but got straight off the plane, and got taxi to Privilege!
Pete tong, laidback Luke, Annie Mac and more. Great night and after finding our rucksacks we left somewhere we got out side and was loving life!!!
Then the venture to a hotel we should have booked into on the Thursday ! Would it be available or not….
Nope… ended up at the shifty hotel by the egg… after another 5 hour wait!
What a huge 24 hours we had!

Manumission in 98, an insanely good, it wasn’t a club night, it was an experience.
Never been unfortunately... visited last year with my son, we did Pacha, Amnesia and Privilege, all in the one day, lucky enough to get talking to people on each site and he got some great photos inside amnesia, he’s 10 years old, I know he’ll be back one day when he’s older and look back and say he was in amnesia with his da.
Manumission! So sad to see it closed. Remember getting a cab totally hammered around 6am lol😂. The cabbies must have some funny stories to tell. Drink san migs til 8, sleep til 3pm then repeat. 1997

I went to Privilege during my first visit to Ibiza. That was over 20 years ago! I don't remember who was playing that night, but I had the time of my life. It was amazing! I fall in love with Ibiza and then been going there as often as I could. I played in Cafe Del Mar, Eden, Savannah, Chiringay, I played for Pukka Up boat parties etc. Now living in Malta, but I miss Ibiza very much!
Amazing, I was thinking of covering the gay scene down at Chiringgay but haven’t got round to it and I’d need to pull in a gay mate to help me 😂

My first ever Ibiza night was at Privilege in 2011 for Armin Van Buuren. Remember thinking holy shit this place is massive.
Last time I was there was for Resistance for Sasha & Digweed in 2017. Place was looking good having had a fairly recent refurb. Before that, obviously Manumission in the late 90s & early 00s & also the Vista Club when Elrow first went when it came to ibiza. Real shame to see what’s happened, it’s such an iconic club.
