Why? The government has the cash? We are one of the richest countries in the world, one of our greatest issues is our small population. Getting young immigrants from far off lands is a good thing for Ireland, and something that can definitely be afforded.

I'll be honest, I'm Ukrainian and I've only been in Ireland for a year, but even I'm shocked at the number and diversity of migrants in Ireland. I understand the Irish and their excitement, I wouldn't like it either. I support the Irish people. I can say for myself that I did not come to Ireland for profit, but I am here forcibly and temporarily. I am an engineer by profession. During this time in Ireland I took several specialized courses to get certificates, plus one course to improve my English. I currently work for an Irish construction company in Waterford and pay my taxes. I have a lot of experience in construction and modern technology that I have not found in Ireland, and I am trying to be of service to this country. If any of my Irish neighbors ask me to fix something in their house, I do it for free. I am grateful to Ireland and the Irish people that Ireland has accepted me in my time of need. And I promise that I will leave a something beneficial behind me and as soon as the war is over in my country I will leave Ireland. "Peace to the entire world!"
It's not legal migrants like you who are working and contributing to our economy that we have issue with. It's the illegal. You're VERY welcome here. 🇮🇪 🇮🇪 🇮🇪
The Irish people were never consulted about this open border policy. I'm devastated by the radical changes happening to my country as is everyone I talk to
It's the level of legal immigration too especially all the Indians who seem relentless coming and encouraging others too on TH-cam channels etc and the country is overloaded in every way. For generations the Irish had a stereotypical reputation for being "generous" and wouldn't hesitate to help out and contribute to those in need, home or abroad. That reputation soon morphed into being a soft touch and 'others' are well and truly punishing them and seriously taking liberties.
Ireland demanded open borders with the EU and the Irish Court ruled the UK was unsafe. These scroungers know that. Now the Irish Government side with Palestine/Hamas, that lot has still to arrive, Ireland voted for Sinn Fein who demand more migrants. You couldn't make it up.
Here in Canada many Irish settled in Newfoundland. Newfoundlanders are known for their unfailing generosity . Please don't let your empathy destroy your Irish culture

It’s not as thought the government doesn’t have the money to fix the many problems ailing Ireland, they do, the Irish government is holding onto exorbitant amounts of money, 116 Billion last time I checked, and rising. Stop blaming the immigrants. If you want the housing crisis solved, pressure the politicians to start building houses, not to start deporting or detaining immigrants.
@@DampedGull2579politicians don't build houses, developers do. Developers have no reason to keep property prices at a reasonable rate when the demand will remain so incredibly high due to excessive immigration.

It’s not just Ireland - this illegal immigration has been going on for years and years in the UK. And further a field. Economic migration is an issue too. I’ve seen many UK towns and cities become unrecognisable in the last decade or two. It happens because our governments and business leaders want it to happen! It’s endless amounts of cheap labour for them with armies of unskilled workers flooding in.

I come from Latvia🇱🇻 originally, but I've been living in Dublin for 4 years and then I moved to Northern Ireland. Within those 4 years I've got to know so many Irish people especially Dubliners and some of them are like my family up to this very day. Dublin city was, is and will be like my second home always. ❤ Every time I visit Dublin it gets harder for me to recognise the city where I once lived, it's totally upside down if I look back at days when I was living there. That's why I feel the pain of Irish people like my own❤❤❤🇮🇪🇱🇻
Unfortunately, I have the same feeling ..I lived in Dublin since 2006-2010 and I really like this city and people. I mean Irish people. I am grateful to Ireland for a lot, I spent a very good time there, but I never wanted to be on social welfare and receive benefits for nothing. I worked, paid taxes and was interested in Irish culture. And respected them. As I observe today what kind of insanity there is in the whole of Western Europe, I can only say that my homeland in Central-Eastern Europe, and states like Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Baltic countries are the last normal countries for white Christians. They are always welcome here..

Pathetic, the Irish diaspora is probably the biggest in the world compared to the home country, what a bunch of hypocrites, after they migrated and stole the lands of so many NOT EVEN 8% OF IRISH LIVE IN IRELAND...
My own tuppence worth ... I seen a video a few months ago going on about 'anti-migrant protests in Ireland', talk of racism, far-right etc and my ears pricked up .... Im from Scotland, I lived in Ireland for 2 years during 'the Celtic Tiger' era... heard so much from my friends who were already living there about how great life was, the friendliest people etc and when I moved over there, the Irish people, I found, were even sounder than I could possibly imagine. I like to think that Scottish people are friendly, but I found the Irish to be the smartest, kindest, funniest, coolest and friendliest people Ive ever met, I actually ended up on the pish/lash for a full week after I arrived with a bunch of locals in Co. Kildare😂fell in love with the place straight away. Compared to Scotland, I felt very safe in the pubs (a complete absence of violence compared to Scotland) everyone was welcoming, getting the craic, no bullshit over what team you support (we even had a hardcore Hun mate who btw never got any grief for being a Hun, just banter)... my point is, I never believed for a second what the mainstream media were saying about what was going on in Ireland, so thank you for continuing to inform people on what is really going on. Ireland is a beautiful country, and its people are even more kinder, I'm an immigrant, I arrived as a student, I graduated here with an Honours degree, and I made Ireland my home; Ireland has given me everything. In return, I have worked hard, paid my taxes, and never been unemployed, never claimed a cent from the government system. I can not express my thanks in words to the Irish people for their love and compassion shown to me, Now, coming to the immigrant crisis, in my opinion, Ireland is being exploited at the moment by doggy and fake asylum seekers, so many people are being let into the country without prior checks of their backgrounds. I remember my student visa application took 16 weeks to process after a thorough inspection of my documents. No surprise, people are becoming aware of more loopholes and exploiting the system.
As I said on Colin's video , Irish people are called racist to shut down what we are saying. It's not as simple as that. There is tension which is getting to be unbearable but I refuse to be scared in my own city. I have a disability, and the way some non Irish people look at me is a problem. There is a cultural difference which needs to be acknowledged. Obviously, not everybody but it's a fact. Tension is high and cannot be ignored.
The cultural factors are huge. Things like modern slavery, honor crime and the attitude to authorities are areas where this shows. Many immigrants are more racist than the indigenous.

Britain has long been a multicultural society, so it's a bit different. Ireland was largely homogenous and now all of a sudden has a giant influx of ethnics that they aren't prepared to integrate.
It’s to stop any serious debate and another one they call you is “racist” for not wanting your country’s culture and native born Irish a chance to becoming a minority which could happen with illegal migration every year.
Because they are lead by a corporate globalist puppet. A nominee for other interests in direct conflict with the best interests of the ordinary people of Ireland. He will use any label that helps and the press will support it because 80% of the media are owned by those same globalists.
The US media does the same. You’re “far right radical racist” if you disagree with millions of illegals pouring in and getting treated better than the citizens
The scary thing about this, if an English man spoke about immigration like this, immediately deemed a racist. The world is fucked. The continent is fucked.
We feel we are being taken advantage of our welcoming heart I’m sure UK feel the same with giving out free benefits free medical free housing free food accommodation etc. We Irish don’t wanna become a minority which is slowly happening with mass illegal migrantion. I’m a Dubliner but have lived out of Ireland working for 15 years now - currently home here for a holiday and I’m absolutely SHOCKED at the state of our once great country. I’ve been welcomed into a number of different (mainly Muslim) countries and treated so so well there, so I can promise you none of this is driven by Islamophobia or any kind of racism. We are being fleeced because of our good nature and our government has decided to open our doors so widely that there might as well be none. I’m very saddened and can safely say I will probably never be back to live in the country of my birth 😢 RIP Ireland 🇮🇪
@niall7213 you really are an idiot, it is absolutely YOU who has missed my point - I have no issue and welcome qualifying and genuine immigrants wholeheartedly - but there's got to be a (much better) plan & indeed a limit on what a very small nation can handle in a given period of time. I am all for inclusion and truly believe ireland will be a better place for it (and absolutely has been over almost 30 years now since it really first started) but not like it's happening today. Also... I was looked for and requested to go everywhere I've been to bring a very narrow and specialist set of skills to the places I've been and ultimately, to pass that specialist knowledge onto folks there to allow them do what I do for themselves, in the future. Make no mistake... there's a very distinct difference between what I am abroad and economic migrants that are arriving in Ireland. I know from your comment and writing that you can grasp that but I also know from your comment and writing that you WILL NEVER admit to it and say I'm correct. 😃 ......which of course, I am.
Nail. Head. When an Irish person says "the Government" they mean just two parties that are really just one party. FF & FG for short. Both are populated almost entirely from the private catholic school system. Pure bog ignorant gombeens* most of them. Sorry. It's just true. A gombeen is a stay at home mammies boy that is utterly dependent on his Dad to sort out a career for him. Or her nowadays although the female ones do look like men in drag. Those two parties in particular. Just saying. Anyway. Keyword is Gombeen. Hilarious we are sending an Alpha Gombeen Financial Wizz to Europe. I'm an Irish native and can say it's been absolutely flooded with migrants since covid lockdowns ended, each and every town across the country, my little hometown in the middle of nowhere in Donegal I had never seen a non Irish person there growing up, even up to 2022 you'd see practically none, now suddenly 10-20% of the population have become random foreigners from incompatible countries that don't integrate and have already started outbreeding our locals, can only possibly see it being an Islamic town by 2050, incredibly frustrating being forced to watch my hometown so quickly and intentionally destroyed.
Hello, I am an Irish person who is currently homeless. I am lucky, and thankful to be receiving help by emergency accommodation. The people of Ireland are friendly, and loving, and open; and we are known around the world for being just that. We are consistently in the top 10 "goodest" countries of the world. Often donating the largest amounts per person, of any nation, to those in need. And yes, it is unfortunately true that much of our love has and is being taken advantage of. The problems largely do not belong to the people of Ireland. The problems are largely not individual immigrants themselves. Our country's problems are due to huge amounts of current and past government incompetence, and an utter lack of accountability allowing for long-running and systematic Greed. Our governments policies and lack of policing is allowing more people to enter the country than can be effectively managed and supported, by an already struggling system. And it is getting worse, but honestly, it's a drop in the bucket. We currently do not have an adequate public housing infrastructure due to years of previous government incompetence. We currently do not have an adequately trained labour force, because many of our best have up and left, as the ship is sinking. Our economy is built on smoke and mirrors. Propped up by the multinationals seeking out low tax rates making our GDP look, "AMAZING"!!! "BEST IN THE WORLD"!!! But the disconnect is UN-REAL. Continual failings in our legal system, our health system, our basic infrastructure. It is the case that so many new houses can not be built because the sewerage treatment is just not there to allow for it. We have no metro, a struggling bus service, and a tram line that doesn't even connect to our main airport that last year served 32million people. If there is anyone that after reading this does not understand why the Irish people are starting now to get a bit pissed off and shouting about migrants, well.... Please send us your prayers And to all our hardworking Irish abroad, we need you back. Our country needs you. Your country needs you

Could it possibly be the Benefit system, the free Health care and the priority they get on the Housing list? Every single Country should have the Australian system, you come with skills, savings and a willingness to speak English and pay into the Tax system, no Benefits till you pay in for at least 3 Years, you are more than welcome, otherwise no thanks.
It's easy to lose sight of the massive majority that stays in the EU and UK. The ones who make it to Ireland are at the very limit of how far they can go. What is going on here? This issue is now happening in, not only Ireland, but Europe, the UK, canada & the US. I dont know if Australia & NZ are allowing the same thing to happen over there. It is the same in America. We’ve gotten 10 + million from 160 different countries. It’s costing us billions to provide them with their every need. We have sanctuary cities that house and feed them. Arrived in Ireland 7 year ago to study English. Worked, paid taxes, bought a house, pay my taxes and all my duties to this country that took me with kindness. I am an immigrant myself but can say that the country is completely different from when I arrived. Feel sorry for Irish people, the situation is terrible. If you go to some places, you forget that you are in Ireland. Things need to be regulated, and some stuff stopped completely. Ireland needs to look after Irish people first, immigrants that pay taxes and work legally next and the people exploring this country should be left in the bottom of the list.
Thank you so much for this comment! It’s great to see people who want to give back to the country that have let them in with open arms!👏 it’s the illegal migrants that we protest. God bless you. The far left of politics and goverment call us racist for wanting to have us our first as Irish and not wanting illegals migrants who are mostly men into our communities which most of them are full of crime already and unfunded for years like Coolock.
This is no reflection on you as a person as I'm sure you're a perfectly decent human being. Even so, just because you "work and pay your taxes" doesn't mean you should be in Ireland either. The situation for the Irish would be no different if they had 10 million immigrants who also "worked and paid their taxes." The end result would be the same; it wouldn't be Ireland anymore in the same way England wouldn't be England anymore, Germany wouldn't be Germany anymore, America wouldn't be America anymore, Canada wouldn't be Canada anymore, and so on. Western people deserve the right to live in their own countries among their own people just as they do in India, Mexico, China, and elsewhere. It's NOT about the money but the continued existence of our people as a DISTINCT people in a land in which they can live among their own in a more cohesive society because we understand each other's culture, history, temperament, values, and so on. Everyone knows any animal in nature that doesn't have its own habitat to raise its young and live its life always goes extinct: ALWAYS. That's what migration is about in the west. Exactly, it's a sad state of affairs when your government can't hear you. A massive housing crisis in our country, thousands of our own people, families of homeless. Our government is jumping backwards to facilitate the abusers of a system we set up to help actual vulnerable people. We have also had multiple attacks on our woman and children from these unvetted people and we don't want them being settled in areas where our kids play, walk to school etc. People's story are different and you can't paint everyone with the same brush but our government needs to know that something is terribly wrong with society when our own people can't house themselves but the massive number of non genuine asylum seekers in this country are given shelter, food welfare. It's a joke at the moment 😢

Why would people vote out of the EU for that? Priti Patel promised there would be more immigration if you actually listened, like it was a major part of the brexit campaign focussed on Asian Brits to get their vote and openly on the news.

The Irish are at the back of the line for all services in their own country. Thats one of the biggest issues around the illegal immigrants. Legit immigration is good for a country, the country gets to import people who are skilled in areas where there is a need. What we have been getting to our shores are not skilled in anything but causing problems.
Legit immigration is not good for a country. Sorry but besides more cuisines what is the benefits of immigration? Neoliberalism has destroyed Europe. Our young are leaving. If we had people who truly cared for the country they would have created economic policies to keep our youth here. There are little skills we don't have. Ireland has one of the best education systems in the world. Immigration offers nothing positive. Nothing
I was once watching a group of people leaving a meeting of the Euro Group. While chancellor in Germany, Angela Merkel was also chancellor for the Euro Group. The small and extremely secret group that sets policy and runs the EU. Most of whom are unknown to this day. The same corporate globalists that have often openly spoken of the Kalergi book like it is the bible and famously there is a picture of Angela Merkel leaving one of the meetings holding Kalergi's seminal work. I have actually been in meeting with very senior EU officials and they started talking about the 'progress' towards a post democratic Europe like it was the promised land. Given that the same people also tend to be members of the wef, whose self stated objectives are pretty much identical. This is the biggest threats to ordinary people of all time.

There is no problem with those who are skilled, pay taxes and contribute and share European values. This is very much welcomed! Social cohesion and unrest is only being provoked with the many thousands of unskilled immigrants and subsequent preferential treatment by the gov for accommodation during a housing crisis, as well as obvious cultural differences and a lack of assimilation.

Hi Wendall, I like this short doc about the state of the situation regarding life in Dublin at present. You covered both sides pretty well and I commend you for that. Not only as a good piece of documentary work, but also as as an English man giving enough of a S**T to come over and do it. Well done! Unfortunately there are a large number of individuals living in Dublin that don't or won't educate themselves outside of misinformation on social media rabbit holes to have enough of informative perspective on most of the issues to respond reasonably and correctly to each situation as it evolves. If more individuals could look at content like yours with a 2-sided (rather than tunnel vision) approach, maybe more proactive relative responses might lead to a better outcome. Thanks for caring enough to document this!

Colin is a good man, that lady Nikita should have been helped years ago. Everything Colin described as the grievances in Ireland has been happening in the UK, England for ten or more years but the EU and that includes the Irish sadly have revelled in the English misfortune due to their ingrained hatred of the English. Well now it is not only at their door it has got through. None of their politicians are listening because they must obey their lords and masters at the EU. Their politicians like their cosy life and there is no alternative to take on the mainstream. Ireland needs a new Michael Collins figure to take on The government.

Great to see you linked up with Colin from Bogtrotter. Colin is genuinely unbiased and a great source of honesty and truth. A modern day saint in the land of saints and scholars. On the subject of Irish people becoming afraid of foreign nationals coming into Ireland, in very recent times a number of extremely horrific crimes have been committed by foreign nationals who were not long in Ireland. There are countless thousands coming in to Ireland who have not been screened or back checked for health or criminal convictions so no one knows exactly what kind of threats are arriving in Ireland, which is crazy because when Covid was doing the rounds not a single person on the entire planet could take a piss without been asked if they had the Jab, but little old Ireland gets told what to do by Europes dictators. Of course the Irish people are welcoming to those who genuinely seek refuge from war etc but not system gamers and nerdowells. Ireland is a beautiful country, and its people are even more kinder,
I'm an immigrant, I arrived as a student, I graduated here with an Honours degree, and I made Ireland my home; Ireland has given me everything. In return, I have worked hard, paid my taxes, and never been unemployed, never claimed a cent from the government system.
I can not express my thanks in words to the Irish people for their love and compassion shown to me,
Now, coming to the immigrant crisis, in my opinion, Ireland is being exploited at the moment by doggy and fake asylum seekers, so many people are being let into the country without prior checks of their backgrounds.

All cultures are not equal.
Even the Americans are not racist when they got fed up from Irish Immigrants.

Why are the government calling the Irish people Far right that's a new one
Name calling to stop debate
It’s to stop any serious debate and another one they call you is “racist” for not wanting your country’s culture and native born Irish a chance to becoming a minority which could happen with illegal migration every year.
Because they are lead by a corporate globalist puppet. A nominee for other interests in direct conflict with the best interests of the ordinary people of Ireland. He will use any label that helps and the press will support it because 80% of the media are owned by those same globalists.
The US media does the same. You’re “far right radical racist” if you disagree with millions of illegals pouring in and getting treated better than the citizens
Because they're a bunch of racist conspiracy nuts.
Native irish people you have the right to protect the identity of your nation from mass immigration
The scary thing about this, if an English man spoke about immigration like this, immediately deemed a racist. The world is fucked. The continent is fucked.

Agreed bar the term “ Islamophobia”- it’s a made up term to excuse the disgusting invasion of our countries.

Hilarious that you’ve completely missed the irony of your position and what you’ve just said. Class.
Please send us your prayers
And to all our hardworking Irish abroad, we need you back.

Just to get to Ireland or UK these Immigrants have to travel through many rich Countries so why are they aiming for UK and Ireland? Could it possibly be the Benefit system, the free Health care and the priority they get on the Housing list?

Nothing
Even the legal immigration is at insane levels and it's unfair on the young adults of Ireland too

Kalergi plan in full swing.
💯
@Vroomfondle1066 at what point do you look around and say to yourself there is a subterfuge here, something sinister happening to all white Christian nations? Common sense is a conspiracy theory in your circles I imagine!?
Look up callegry plan in Wikipedia..
It's says conspiracy theory, and then goes in to details and describes today's situation in Europe..
Angela Merkel got a callegry award, she was the one who welcomed them in Germany.
Yep karlegi and wef in full swing
I'm an immigrant in Ireland ( I'm from Italy) I work for an American company where the top managers are mostly from Ireland. I pay taxes and hell of a rent for a small apartment in Cork. I've never felt unwanted here to be honest and I hope to keep feeling this way...

I am here working in Ireland as well. Well, this Monday is a bank holiday and I am leaving the country on Wednesday. I won't even quit my job.

An interesting take
Didn’t think of it like that

We don't have a hatred of the English.. My ex hubby is English and I'm Irish.. It's just that because of the border situation that it's making it easy for them to come into the country.. I don't think it's fair to say that this is happening because the Irish hate the English.. That's not it at all.. Yes you're right about the government bending to the European Union and doing what they want for financial reasons.. Lining their own pockets despite what the Irish people want..
The ongoing situation in Coolock is because once again the Irish Government didnt consult with the local community and thought they could simply as always jackboot their way in. Coolock is just the start.
