This is absolutely the best soccer show out there. No question
The Straight Red Card is WAY better
@@timboslice150 Yikes . I can put up with that shtick for around a minute.
I've been listening to these two since way back. 2011 or before. I remember listening to Jason so a solo podcast before this one existed. I can objectively say that tonight was the worst show I've ever heard. Lol 30 mins in and all that has happened is a white dude that goes to wine tastings unironically calling Matt Crocker white, decade-old TV show references, and a never-ending bit about Mauricio's lemons.
This show was a lemon.
The best of lemons.
@@quintonowens8614 Whatever man, that's just like your opinion.
@@GreedyGrom We love a good informed opinion.
Regarding the observation that Berhalter called up many players during his tenure, don’t be surprised to see #berhalterman nostalgia 10-15 years from now.😂
American Outlaws need to bring a shitload of lemons to games!! hahaha
56:23 It’s also kinda revisionist to claim that McKennie would have fight in him- given how anonymous he was both in the lead up and during Copa America. That’s not even mentioning issues with attitude and weight.
I think Poch will set a standard and identify leaders within the group that demonstrate leadership. Who knows who it’s going to be.
It was the best of lemons, it was the worst of lemons, it was the age of lemons… 🍋 🍋
Green lemons are a thing in Brazil they are kinda perfectly spherical and green. I translate them as lime normally but in Portuguese they are technically lemons
Half of the show was about lemons 🤣

34:01 Does Pochettino bring flexibility in formation to this team? If the whole pool is healthy you could do something interesting with a 4-4-2 or a 3-5-2 at least on the attack. Dont know if the defense has the pieces for a 3 back
SUNK COST
One of the private donations came from a guy who has donated to US soccer before - money used to build soccer fields in Miami and Chicago(?). The donators are passionate about soccer. So, I wouldn't characterize this as a sugar daddy scenario. Did you see the press release about this?
@@ccheat7966 yeah, referenced that. Hard not to be cynical though.
I wonder if there are language/communication issues with Cardoso and Maloney that could contribute to their poor play internationally. Clearly there are a lot of players struggling right now, but I think we’ve seen a lot of problems recently with a lack of purpose. Not just issues with tactics, but with players not all on the same page with the game plan.

25:46 those MNT fans who want no MLS players in the squad are probably gonna be disappointed in 2026. Are guys gonna home to get the NIL bag with a home World Cup?
Pretty sure most fans have been wanting MLS goalkeepers to get a shot for years now. Plus we have a lack of depth now with all the injuries and poor form. It’s the consistent Zimmerman/Long/ShaqMoore/Ferreira Callups that were the problem.
Like Jason said, Trusty and McKenzie have barely gotten any minutes!?!?
