I've stopped using it. I have an AMD Ryzen 7800X3D with RTX 4090 and for me it's smoother without it and just use austofps than lossless scaling. I get 80fps without but don't really care about frames, for.me smoothness is more important
Agree, smooth is more important! Been testing it a lot today, and I’m getting stutters every few seconds with lossless at 120fps, but silky-smooth at 40fps without
I’m I’m pretty much the exact same boat with the same system and didn’t know what I was doing wrong…seems to me it adds way more stutters than it prevents
Hi thanks for the informative video! I experienced fantastic frame rates with no screen tearing issues! But now I am facing another issue. I noticed that in ur video, the windows task bar at the bottom is still there. For me when I turn on the app, I see a black bar below instead of my task bar, as if my windowed msfs became full screen. May I know what u did to keep ur msfs in "windowed" mode with the task bar below?
Just checked my MSFS settings - I have "full screen" enabled. Which I think is a "borderless window mode" if I recall correctly. Other than that I don't think I've done anything. When I alt-tab to other windows, I can always see the taskbar.
I guess it depends what refresh rate you can set the monitor to. Might be hard to get 144fps with lossless scaling. In my case I chose to lock fps to 40 (with frame gen) then triple it to 120 with lossless
Using this program having RTX 4000 is usless. And there is no such program that shows the current fps that the program is generate. You have to turn on DRAW FPS in settings to see what the program does in the left top corner
Not possible to get 120fps with RTX40-series unless settings are turned way down. Not that 120fps is my goal. But I wouldn’t say it’s useless. Main reason I used lossless was to run AI traffic at crazy high settings. But I might not continue using it because of artifacts. Also - FPS counter in top left corner cannot be recorded by OBS, so doesn’t show in the videos
Hwinfo64 can show you the current FPS generated by the program. Just go the OSD (RTSS) in the sensor setting and in the [PresentMon] section, enable Framerate (displayed). It will add another sensor to the RTSS overlay that displays the current FPS with the generated one.
My fenix displays Lag when i use lossless scaling for some reason . Other aircraft display work fine
and how you record the video? seems only OBS works
@@simulationPC I was using OBS

being stationary does NOT represent the FPS you would get if you were flying around that airport.
True. The main point was how to avoid tearing though
Amd Vsync on , monitor 60 HZ , TAA renderscale 100, 5120*2160 and Fsr2toFSR3 mod Lukefz. butter smooth on my 7900xtx 25GB

@@captainpiett765 ahh I see. Thanks!!
I have 144hz monitor and get 60 fps in sim with frame gen ON.. so at what VALUE should I set my FPS LIMIT and refresh rate?

Half your monitors frequency a good start.

@@vladerx excellent, didn’t know this, thanks!
should i use this with a gtx 1060 3gb?
Give it a try. Should work with any GPU as far as I know
@@captainpiett765 nope it didn't work haha.
I dont know what would work with
gtx 1060 3gb
i5 4670s
12gb
MSFS2020
WINDOWS 10
@@umxair3894 Hmm not really sure why it didn't work - I thought it should work with any GPU. Many someone else will know and comment.
I bought it and I don't like it.
bro you spent 4:08 to tell us nothing useful lol obviously you won't get tearing if you don't go pass the refresh rate of your monitor.
You’ll get tearing without g-sync if GPU output and refresh rate is different
