yeah the manga pace is surprisingly decent, and after chapter 500 it goes batshit insane
To be fair the manga has a really really good pacing compared to the anime

L and R have the same pronounciation in japanese hence the interchangable names.
@@nrreno doesnt change the fact that viz still calls him zolo when its zoro, oda writes bounty names in english and has an R for zoro but viz changes it to an L
Yea anytime my conscience reads his name I always pronounce it with “row” instead of “low”.
@@TPShanksthe only thing that bothers me about viz calling him zolo is that they originally called him zoro. And in later editions changed it to zolo. I believe only the first 5 or 6 volumes had it as zoro before it got changed. I have two volumes with his name as zoro.
@@TPShanksThen how about Enel -> Eneru, or Cell -> Seru. Zolo -> Zoro are the same word. L or no L, the Japanese always use an R.

The only issue i have with the manga is "Zolo" 💀
It’s cause Japanese people can’t pronounce L so they changed it to zoro
Frrr first time I read one piece I thought it was a misprint

This anime/manga it's a perfect balance of comedy and badassness I also put you through an emotional roller coaster of ups and downs and a whole lot of plot twists
Except a few arcs one piece is mid asf most of the arc is just running around (talking about the anime)

@@olos5437 it’s because of the original 4kids dub having him be Zolo for potential copyright reasons but despite the anime changing it the manga still to this day calls him Zolo

Reading the manga is like moving at Mock 12 coming from the show lmao
Be prepared, it doesn't move that fast for long. It'll start slowing down. Just try to tough it out until chapter 400-500 because then it starts getting ready good, eventually you'll except the slow pacing because it makes it interesting.
How do you tough it out until 400 that’s all of alabasta skypeia water seven and the beginning of enies lobby which is still considered one of the best arcs in the series
@@shyrolax6244 because they only become good arcs after readers found out what they meant later on. I enjoyed them but if you were to ask the majority they'd say those are bad arcs. Time skip is where everything starts getting way better.

tbf he's at the start where arcs r normal length, and it still moves at a decent pace it's just long, the anime on the other hand is long and has slow pacing
That's just the name change that 4Kids Entertainment Saturday mornings gave Zoro/Zolo in the One Piece 4Kids Dub before Funimation started Dubbing it.
I heard they changed it because of a copyright issue with zorro the character

One Piece is my favorite story of all time. Im almost caught up and I'm so sad about it cuz I don't want it to be over.
I found a physical copy of the first volume in a Good Will few days ago. It cost three bucks.
I wanted to have a keepsake for when the series ends. I wanted a Demon Studios devil fruit replica but unfortunately the site shut down. But having the first volume of a long running manga is even better bc one day, my kids are gonna ask "daddy, what's that on the bookshelf?" And I'm gonna say "kids, sit down, I'm gonna tell you a story about a boy in a strawhat."

it’s trying to establish characters, so the beginning is always fast pace. But it gets slow as you get through all the arcs.
I just love seeing people start this beautiful story for the first time it reminds me of myself when I was very skeptical about this show but I was feeled with so much emotions when I ended it make wish this show will last forever. (Good luck!)

@@JodaroKujo it wasn't because of 4kids but that's what 4kids used too, the Japanese lettering for L and R are rlly similar so they are often used interchangeably with they biggest example being zolo and zoro

In the manga it is translated to Zolo because of legal issues
It’s because Japanese has one liquid consonant which can be pronounced either l or r depending on context so Japanese to English translations can be different

It does move quickly - even the anime - but only for maybe the first 50 to 80 Episodes. After that it is getting a lot slower.
