I ve never seen any anime,i didnt know about one piece and still i became a massive fan of that series and i had a hell of a time watching it.I can only imagine what it would mean for the hardcore fans but but i believe one of the biggest reasons it became such a success was that it welcomed everybody and was enjoyable for everyone
best thing the live series did was bringing new fans to One Piece and seeing them finally loving One Piece..and showing them why it is the biggest Manga/Anima currently exisiting
You guys are all so cool. Amazing job. The Nami and Luffy scene got me crying every time. Even here. Every scene from episode 5 onwards got me crying. But the other scene that really gets me is when Luffy says to Nami "You are our friend! We are your crew!" Always gets me teary. Great job guys. Can't wait for season 2.
the crew is saying how Mackenyu makes it look so easy... I wonder if they've seen his action work in his other films like "Full Metal Alchemist" and "Rurouni Kenshin". He is absolutely incredible. I actually feel like he's slowing down for One Piece
More than agree…. Sword choreo in One piece is a piece of cake for him, especially compared to his “super fast and complicated sword fighting” scene with Kenshin😂. He is genius actor. As Enishi he emitted “chaos” aura but as Zoro, he emitted “cool guy” aura. Bravo!
So true. I remember an interview with Steven Maeda. He said that Mackenyu actually had to go slower with his movements as he was working with a different stunt team and not the one he's used to. They shot this during the pandemic so they weren't able to get Mackenyu's stunt team from Japan. Dude was a freaking monster as Yukishiro Enishi! It'd be great to see a performance like that again as we go further in the OPLA series (hopefully 🤞🏻)
I'm glad that they filmed lots of contents before the strike. Looks like this compilation could be one of the lasts. Hopefully, the writers & actors can get a fair deal soon, and season 2 production can start~
The Nami scene made me cry so much when I watched it and even now. And seeing the actress cry as well just shows how much she connects with the character and how much this show means to her, it's beautiful to see. And seeing Iñaki give her the emotional support she needs even after the show is just wholesome
She loves One Piece and has loved Nami since she was very young. She used to go exploring in the woods an draw routes when she was a kid, similar to Nami. That scene means everything to her and is made even more emotional by that fact she still can't believe she gets to watch herself do it
Whoever was in charge of casting deserves a huge bonus, they all just fit so well and the chemistry between them all is what really makes this show shine. I just hope Netflix realises what they have here, and don't ruin it.
They seem like they are quite similar to our crew in real life too personality wise. Inaki and Jacob the funny goofy ones, Mackenyu the calm, cool, stoic guy, who doesn’t need many words, Emily is basically Nami but seems a little bit nicer in person and Taz really seems like the cool charming ladies guy, even touching Emily from the back few times😂
Also Jacob's little lies. "Remember what I taught you?" And "I dropped something under the table". Those jokes got me all heart eyes. And I'm biases towards anything Sanji related but Taz is literally perfect. Such a great cast all around
Was gonna comment this too. When Jacob mkes the "Get lost" comment with the creature scene and Emily bounces off that to make the joke, it 100% feels like the kinda thing Nami would say to Usopp. Same goes for the "I don't find it hard" comment Mackenryu makes: that's 100% a thing Zoro could say. Even as a whole they really give the "group of friends" feeling. Honestly, this might just be one of the best castings I've seen in a show, period.
As a one piece fan when I came to episode 7: the girl with the sawfish tattoo- the way that Emily made me feel Nami’s anger and frustration… she’s an amazing actor ❤ I got literal chills at how well she portrayed that scene. I love this cast so much!
I'm not a dedicated anime or manga fan (sorry), but this series has easily become my favorite because it puts me in an incredibly positive mood. I love all the fight scenes. I love the atmosphere, music, history, pace and relationships between the characters. Incredibly good job. I'm waiting for the second season. 🙂🙂🙂
Can I just say how much I freaking LOVE Emily’s boots in this. Also that tattoo scene was what made me love One Piece too. I’m now watching the Anime for the first time.
The cast is so incredible and their chemistry is undeniable that I feel worried for the actors who will come in as the rest of the straw hat pirates. Those 5 will always have a special place in their hearts for each other cause they were there since beginning❤they put in a lot of work, time, passion and patience and they never knew till the end how it would all be perceived by a public but we love it 😭❤️

I just finished watching this show and loved all of the characters! Seeing the actors like this makes me realize how invested they truly are in their roles! The end scene with Emily; the way she cried irl watching the scene just proves how much she suits this role! One Piece clearly means so much to her! 🥰
The cast really made this a success. It reminds me of early Marvel movies where the cast was spot on and the actors really committed to their roles and clearly love and appreciate the characters.
I love the cast not only reacting to these scenes but also that they give commentary for behind the scenes & you can just tell that they loved doing it
Oda DID THAT with this cast. You can tell how meticulous he was about who each person had to be for the role. To be the live action character of the most successful and longest running anime is a lot of pressure and they all killed it. Born to do these roles.
"I'm familiar with two swords but not three" And I'm going to pause you there Mackenyu because I don't think you realize how most people can't even handle one sword?? What a humble king 😄
I feel so attached to them now, like I want to see a whole series of them living together. Just as them, boring days and happy days together. I love them so much
I love how they went for it. Like yes its the emotional centerpiece of the season but Luffy will effing yell cause its Luffy. Sooo difficult to pull off in live action but they really nailed it.

Seeing Mackenyu's fight scenes in Rurouni (his fight scene with Kenshi was so epic), you can tell One Piece was easy for him. Other than the sword in his mouth, everything was just a piece of cake. 😄

12:30 To me, this is the defining scene in One Piece. Everyone who asks me if it's worth it, I tell them if they don't love it by the end of episode 37, they probably won't be a fan. If they do, they'll go from "but it's over 1000 episodes" to "I can't believe this has to end soon"
I love how the cast is so themselves building up the representation of this amazing story and they're all so thrilled to be a part of while they themselves are so well suited for the rolls they play. This really is the One Piece live action that Oda deserved c:

Seriously, thank you for this gift, Netflix, Tomorrow Studios/Matt Owens/Steven Maeda, and this whole incredibly talented, beautiful cast and crew!
I love how in every video mackenyu is just quiet in a corner..listening and smiling at his chaotic friends
Nami is such a perfect cast
yeah i agree
This is what I've been saying. We really don't need the cartoon-y orange wig.
yeah she is truly beautiful with her natural hair
yea I agree too. Maybe a more tame orange
I read the manga, but my husband is a complete muggle in anything anime, but he bingewatched it and said it's great
@@qwerttzizzi facts i knew about one piece before and some of the lore from friends but this was fire and makes me wanna try watching 1000+ episodes
@@clayski9470 glad to hear!
i was lazy to read all of those 1000s chapters so glad they make the LA version. I love Shanks and Ace even before this.. I can't wait too see them
Every time Shanks says "it's just an arm" I start bawling.
Perfect casting right here. That last scene got me even more emotional this time because of their reactions.
Wow I haven't seen Fullmetal alchemist he's in Fullmetal alchemist why I got to watch it now😮
@@allyson2143 yeah, it was obvious that he moved slower too
12:22 Good to see that the cast cares so much about the source material and the fans. That is so special and is a big reason the show is so good!
Henry Cavill also cared a lot about the source material and look what happened...
@@GeneralKenobi69420He was the only one that cared.
@@GeneralKenobi69420 blame the producers
@@Zanroffyeah 😢
I'm glad that they filmed lots of contents before the strike. Looks like this compilation could be one of the lasts. Hopefully, the writers & actors can get a fair deal soon, and season 2 production can start~
The last scene was so amazing I loved how Emily got emotional just watching it again
I love how Mackenyu was so quiet most of the time. He is like Zoro in the real life 🗡️🗡️🗡️
7:12 When Inaki asked Mackenyu he exatcly responded to Luffy like Zoro!😭
The Nami scene made me cry so much when I watched it and even now. And seeing the actress cry as well just shows how much she connects with the character and how much this show means to her, it's beautiful to see. And seeing Iñaki give her the emotional support she needs even after the show is just wholesome
That scene where Emily becomes emotional by her own character portrayal is so iconic 💖
She loves One Piece and has loved Nami since she was very young. She used to go exploring in the woods an draw routes when she was a kid, similar to Nami. That scene means everything to her and is made even more emotional by that fact she still can't believe she gets to watch herself do it
キャストがすごく合ってるし、物語のテンポも良かった。早く続編が見たい。
They NAILED every single casting in this show.
Can I just say how much I freaking LOVE Emily’s boots in this. Also that tattoo scene was what made me love One Piece too. I’m now watching the Anime for the first time.
Gotta love how Mackenyu admits how challenging it is to use third sword in his mouth, very honest reaction and answers for that
The cast is so incredible and their chemistry is undeniable that I feel worried for the actors who will come in as the rest of the straw hat pirates. Those 5 will always have a special place in their hearts for each other cause they were there since beginning❤they put in a lot of work, time, passion and patience and they never knew till the end how it would all be perceived by a public but we love it 😭❤️
True i hope robin vivi and chopper actors get along well with them
@noblekatana2270 Chopper probably gonna be a hard one
Thanks you to all the casting, the showrunners, the set designers, the costume makers, Eichiro Oda and all the great people on Netflix that made the world of One Piece something real ! The show is amazing, can't wait for season 2.
Hands down this show was one of the most enjoyable hours of TV that I have seen since Madalorian season 1. The cast was PERFECT and their performances were true to the source material. Bravo 👏
they are perfect, they know which scene is important and pay more attention to it and do it perfectly, cant wait to watch the next season
they deserve every best thing that came to their life. ❤
It’s would be cool to see some content with Morgan Davies (Koby) and Aidan Scott (Helmeppo) too
Aidan Scott is so good in this. I mean, we rightfully talk about the main cast and fan favourites, but man he got the unlikable douchebag doooown. And in a funny way, too! So, so good.
@@monkeibusinessthey also portrayed him turning into a likable person really well. That hesitation they have before eventually doing the right thing is awesome
It definitely would!
@@klop552 agree with all of that, but just as a small note, Aidan uses they/them pronouns!
@@spacecoffeemood7298 yeah, both of them use they/them. ^^ idk if Aidan also considers themselves trans/non-binary/etc because I couldn't find information about that, but the casting announcement listed everyone's pronouns and had they/them for Morgan and Aidan.
I love how they're all talking over the scenes, and then the "luffy, Help me" scene is shown and they're all silently watching, because its a damn near perfect scene.
I just finished watching this show and loved all of the characters! Seeing the actors like this makes me realize how invested they truly are in their roles! The end scene with Emily; the way she cried irl watching the scene just proves how much she suits this role! One Piece clearly means so much to her! 🥰
3:47 not the sleeve😂
Emily tearing up at her scene, and the rest of the crew getting goosebumps - what genuine chemistry!
Born to do these roles.
makenyu-kun's little "your sleeve" that he says at 3:46
"I'm familiar with two swords but not three"
And I'm going to pause you there Mackenyu because I don't think you realize how most people can't even handle one sword?? What a humble king 😄
That Nami scene was freaking emotional Emily really did a good job that “Help me” will never not give me a heartache
I feel so attached to them now, like I want to see a whole series of them living together. Just as them, boring days and happy days together. I love them so much
I love how they went for it. Like yes its the emotional centerpiece of the season but Luffy will effing yell cause its Luffy. Sooo difficult to pull off in live action but they really nailed it.
oh my god, rewatching the nami "help me" scene made me SO EMOTIONAL AND I TEARED UP ALL OVER AGAIN. GODDD, IT WAS SO GOOD. THE MUSIC HELPED TOO, AND HOW THE ACTORS WERE SO INVESTED IN WATCHING IT TOO. oh my gosh, i love this video! it really made me feel like the actors had fun doing this show, and that they love this series! and i love how much the actors remind me of the characters they play!
Seeing Mackenyu's fight scenes in Rurouni (his fight scene with Kenshi was so epic), you can tell One Piece was easy for him. Other than the sword in his mouth, everything was just a piece of cake. 😄
Yeah, I guess it wouldn’t have worked if the sword in his mouth had been a piece of cake.
So true! He is so capable of so much more! Imagine the fight from One Piece Film Z in LA. Maaan
Emily fangirling at the "help me" scene she was in, the same way she did with it in the manga and anime, just like the rest of us... ❤
My God that Nami stabbing scene is too good I came here thinking eh I won't cry this isn't anime afterall. But I come out BAWLING my eyes out 😭 Emily deserves all the praise she received. She's succeeded in bringing the important moment to life.
Whoever did the show is the best I’ve been seen this show for 100 years. Thank you so much.😊😊😊😊
My favorite moment has gotta be Garp screaming and then laughing after Luffy bounces the cannonball back. Perfect execution of Garps personality.
"What was the hardest part about fighting with swords." "None, cause I enjoy it so much." is the most Zoro thing he could have possibly said! 😱❤️
Can’t get enough of this show and The straw hats! Everyone involved did such an amazing job. So happy with how they adapted my favorite series, they knocked it out the park I’m blown away!!
Mackenyu was about to cry at the Nami scene
I like this little joke "GET LOOOOOOOOOOOOOST!!!!!!!!!!!!" 3:21
They did such an incredible job.
7:24 Least humble Japanese man ever. That’s why he’s playing Zoro 😍
Emily crying in the end, actually made me cry...
Right? It’s such a powerful scene and her acting is so good. I think the emotions came back and she teared up.
I love how the cast is so themselves building up the representation of this amazing story and they're all so thrilled to be a part of while they themselves are so well suited for the rolls they play. This really is the One Piece live action that Oda deserved c:
I love how proud they are of all their own acting lol
Luffy, Nami and Usopp’s actors are so talented, but Zoro and Sanji are just above and beyond in every way I’ve ever wanted
This is probably my favourite Cast for any show I've seen. Keep it up guys ☺❤
when emily cried watching their scene, you can tell that is some serious, valuable work done over there :') props to them 👏
The crews bond in real life is similar to the manga. Such beautiful people
I love how Mackenyu is just silently watching the show and everyones actually speaking lol, and bro, this is awesome! I love casts so much, they are always so wholesome. They even have the right one for the live action one piece!
