I totally understand the filter element allowing more flow than stock, but is the housing really that much better than stock? Seems to me it's basically the same shape, maybe the stock having less volume. Someone explain please.
Smoother bends with less obstructions and a bigger/higher flow element. Probably only adds 5 hp, but it also makes the pedal more sensitive to input at low rpm, which is one of the thing they do with a tune.
Can’t compare any single item from 1996 to 2018. I too have had both and the 1996 V8 was an excellent truck. Both towed the same enclosed 20’ car trailer with the same race car and the 2018 is on the plateau when the 1996 is yet to be 1/2 way up the hill. The best fuel milage was 18 in the 96 and 22 in the 2018 driving the same way and speeds.
Sounds cool, No noticeable performance. Mostly a dick swinging mod. Mighty car mods did a dyno on test on a cold air intake in an S2000. It made 3% more power at the top end .
Shop this S&B Cold Air Intake! : amtrucks.at/3xyCpNu
Is using a basic impact drill for doing this damaging or harmful to the vehicle or parts?
love the sound of the intake inhaling. The S&B along with the Corsa Sport side exit before tire combo 👌
Thanks for watching! -Zach
I ended up using thin speaker foam instead of the rubber around the window.
This isn’t exact for the 18-20 models. There are some slight differences during install.

I súre wish I could find a nice 17-19 Ford f-150 4x4 with a 5.0 coyote engine.. I had a 96 f-150 with the 5.0 but I sold it years ago & it wasn't 4wd.
I snagged mine new. 19 xlt special edition, 5.0 fx4. I love it and at 50k miles, will probably keep it another 2 years or so at least

Just installed this. Why am I lost some mpg vs stock oem intake ? Thx
Did I miss the price?
Never mind I see it!
Installed one on my 2023 Eco boost, and it seams like it’s building boost too fast at lower RPMs any idea why?
Sweet

So do you think it will go good with the borla atak I got a 2023 5.0
Absolutely! Thanks for watching!
So what’s the advantage @ 70 mph on the road and in town driving. How about return on the $$$.

@@lobreiterdick swinging mod??? You probably use terms like "toxic masculinity" lol
Does doing this void a warranty?
No
