    After a ton of research I bought the Passau sliders to use for inline hockey. I installed them and started using them about 3 months ago. They work great but they were a bit spendy. Then I saw your video. Those look clean and I like your mounting system! I'll be making my own when the Passau's wear out. Thanks!

    1" furniture sliders with adhesive back have been amazing for me if they wear down just pop em off and replace you get like 40 in a bag and they come in black and white

      I tried to use your idea, however there seems to be a bunch of types when it comes to furniture sliders. Which ones do it use exactly? Many thanks

    Hey Jim. Cool solution for the sliders. How well do they slide? (I assume you are playing on the plastic flooring)

    Great video Jim, just wondering where you put the boot strap, do you have ball hockey goalie shoes? Or does it go under your shoes.

      I use Shox and put the strap through

      How much velcro did you use to apply the sheets? And where did you place it.

    Can we also get a video to see how well the sliders work

    thanks Jim. I made own sliders from 1/10th inch UHMW - got local plastics company to cut them to size for me and i'm very happy with them. I'm curious about your bootstrap. Do you just have under your footwear or do you have the kind of shoes with a hole to pass it through the sole (like the ReasonY shoes)?

    Great vid. Why do you need boot strap?

      I do not use toe ties and the boot strap helps control the rotation of the pad.

    Hey Jim...I play ball hockey in a gym...on a waxed hardwood surface. Do you think the sliders would damage the flooring? Are the sliders better used on a concrete surface?

      UHMW Polyethylene is supposed to be abrasion resistant, so I don't think it would as long as they are clean and not used outside where they can get scratched

    These are polyethylene hard plastic sheets correct?

    Can the plates be removed for ice hockey use? I play both ball and ice, and would love to have a solution that is easy to use for both.

    • @jimcendrowski6400
      @jimcendrowski6400  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most goalies that play ball and ice have 2 sets of pads so that they do not have to remove the sliders. You can remove them if you're ok playing ice with the soft side of the velcro. This way, you wouldn't have to constantly be removing/replacing the velcro.

      @@jimcendrowski6400 Interesting. How would the soft side of the Velcro affect on-ice performance?

      @@ilyazhitomirskiy9218 I don't know as I only use these for dek. Are you in the Facebook group, Street Hockey Goalies? If so, you may want to ask there.
