I learned in sport science that when you take a supplement that your body naturally produces, than your body tends too produce less of it which is obviously not good.

Also what Brand you recommend when it comes to L-Carn, Probiotics, CLA, Yohimbine?

Thanks for the suggestions! I would also add one more supplement to this list: Standardized Hot Water Root Extract Tongkat Ali from AKARALI. There are many types of Tongkat Ali on the market, but this specific one is the safest and most potent. It also complies with World Anti-Doping Agency regulations, which is important for professional athletes like me. I started taking this natural supplement to increase my testosterone, and it has surprisingly helped me lose weight as well. After 11 months, I have already lost 10 kilograms. Great stuff!

So I’m totally confused as to which one might benefit me or if taking all of them is better? Currently I’m in a wheelchair due to having labreal tears in both hips from constant falling due to having MS almost 20 years. Injections worked on both sides but the atrophy from using the chair has become consistent daily work to get to the next step, a walker. Unfortunately weight’s been a yo-yo my entire life. I’m a 48 yr old woman, 5’3”, & around 200 lbs. I’ve been going to my local YMCA’s pool three days a week for three one hour water fitness classes since Sept 2021. I’ve built muscles in my arms, right leg, & I’m incredibly proud of my core strength!! Thanks for all the info you post!

Its nice to know I have some kind of recourse. I don't know what to take first. I especially like the fact that I don't have to exercise with green tea. I have a terrible sugar addiction and hopefully this will give me the willpower to eat healthy, I have no health problems,I'm 70 and I feel like I am 30 years old but its just a matter of time before my crazy eating will catch up to me. I am almost 200 pounds and I am depressed and sick about it. I was 162 for many years but since I was laid off due to covid, I gained all this weight. • @june012006

Yes, antibiotics destroy probiotics, however, they shouldn't destroy all of them, as without probiotics (gut bacteria), you will die. My totally NON medical opinion is that supplementing them would help out compete the bad bacteria in the gut. You wouldn't get as great a benefit as someone not on antibiotics, but there still should be some, in theory.

I go to the gym twice a day before and after work focusing on cardio and lift moderately at home. Also go to therapy haha so maybe that’s why I’m so happy but so far my body has also become immensely active and happy too! It’s so easy to overstep any possible beneficial weight loss effects of these supplements if diet or exercise is off the mark. They may be marginally beneficial in some, but after being on 3 of the 4 listed, and doing intermittent fasting I am pretty much done with caffeine or other pill boosters for weight loss. No short cuts really exists for longterm hard won maintenance of body weight goals. Intermittent fasting and working out delivers consistently.

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 oh sweet summer child. Tell that to a woman who has massive PCOS, Vestibular Migraines, and super unbalanced thyroid. My hbgA1c is 5.2%. So no doctor will give me meds usually prescribed for PCOS. Vestibular migraine, I have massive increase of symptoms while intermittent fasting. And my thyroid went from 1.94 (after fighting it for a year) to 9 in 2 months (with me taking my levothyroxine). So increase of meds, Back down to 4 in a month. To 5.5 after increasing my levothyroxine again in a month.
During this time, I couldn’t work out because of the migraine symptoms for 6 months straight. (Went to 7 doctors, 3 of them specialists). No headaches. That’s not what vestibular migraines do… but the only thing I could eat that didn’t really eff me up with symptoms, was salmon, broccoli, and squash. I had to eat chicken. Because I couldn’t eat salmon everyday for 6 months. Super small portions. Because nausea. Again. Migraine symptoms. No headache. I gained 15lbs.
When I could workout. I had a dietician. And a personal trainer. Working out 5 days a week…. Gained another 20. They said I was cheating. I wasn’t… why!?!?
MY BODY ISNT LIKE THEIRS!!! PCOS is a bitch. Having a effed up thyroid is a bitch.
So tell me again how working out and intermittent fasting is the best plan?

It was on the screen, but you didn't verbally say it, the study on L-Carnitine suggests that you should cycle it. The last sentence of the blurb you popped up said that prolonged use resulted in diminishing returns. So either the body just reaches a saturation point and just excretes the excess (best case scenario) or the body adapts to the presence of exogenous L-Carnitine and become resistant to it (worst case scenario).
So I'm thinking probably on the same sort of cycle for creatine. 2 months on. 2 weeks off. Hard to say without more data on precisely how quickly you deplete the excess L-Carnitine.

L- Carnitine and CLA absolutely worked for me to improve body composition. At the time I was working out 5-6 days a week for many years. I saw a pretty big difference with both of those supplements individually and taking them together was phenomenal. ….. and here comes the but….. taking both of those supplements for a couple of years reeked havoc on my thyroid and I became hypothyroid at only 33. Did I have a predisposition? Perhaps - but no one else in my family has thyroid issues. Once I stopped the supplements - my thyroid function improved somewhat but the damage was done. I’m now on thyroid medication for life. Sounds simple enough but the synthetic hormones are not the same and do not alleviate the symptoms- I’m left chronically exhausted and it is literally impossible for me to lose a single pound. I struggle to workout now and my diet is clean so I’m not overweight but if your someone who struggles with weight to begin with - I would be super careful because hypothyroidism is a literal nightmare. I actually can’t tolerate taking CLA or L-carnitine anymore. Don’t ask me why I tried but both make me incredibly sick now. There is a ton of research to show that l-carnitine specifically lowers thyroid hormone production and over time can be quite damaging and in my case irreversible. I’m not against supplements but if you really want to try them make sure your getting regular bloodwork- like twice yearly with a full thyroid panel and stop if you see any changes. Sounds dramatic but it literally ruined my life. It’s been 10 years since all of that and the daily fatigue is indescribable. I looked amazing and felt great for the first couple years I was taking it but it wasn’t worth it. I’m guessing I likely would have ended up with thyroid disease in my 60’s but I’m 100% certain these two supplements in addition to my crazy intense workouts lead to the early onset.
