Can a standard KTM 390 Duke keep up with the big bikes on track??

- We had the standard road bike (KTM 390 Duke) on track with all the big boys, keeping up with and overtaking 1000cc's. The only thing really slowing it down was the foot pegs grounding out, if it wasn't for that I would have smoked everyone! 🤣
We were not able to get a camera on the Aprilia RS660 as I only had one mount and it would not attach anywhere on the bike. There is a little trackside footage of it.
It was a proper mint day at Oulton Park even though I was really intimidated rolling the Duke out of the van and lining up in the pit lane with a load of big track bikes.. at one point I was in the queue next to a Ducati 1198, Suzuki GSXR 750 and a Yamaha R1.
At the end of the day..... "I held my own!"
Update on the Aprilia RS660, it took the first two sessions to get the rearsets right for Baz, after that he was flying and the bike is absolutely mint.

Have you seen the state of this weather!! Sunny then raining then hail then sunny again… it’s taking the piss now, we had been out loads this time last year.

Leads to a question actually - did you buy your 660 from new? If so, did you follow proper break in? I've been doing it most of the time, but can't help the odd go of booting it.
This track rs660 was built from new by 3dmoto and they done the running in, when we picked it up it was ready for the track 😁👍🏼
@@Mancs1000r Ah fair play - I assumed it'd be the one you had in the garage sent away for modifying rather than a new one
We suggested that to them but they said they would rather start from scratch with a new one… plus I think they make a bit more money when they do it that way 😁
Good bike to pick for a bit of a hoon on track. Light and flickable and you probably spent most of it with the throttle cracked open not worrying about traction control and ABS kicking in. Not a bad showing either 😀

Great video nice bit of riding never been to Oulton Park but do live only a couple of miles from one of the best tracks in the country in my opinion cadwell Park stay safe baz /mancs 🇬🇧👍
