Yo what happened to the channel. I can remember 8 years back when I first got access to youtube in junior high, this channel was hitting insane numbers. Then covid came, you guys switched to the podcast, which kinda got killed sometime last year and the last time I listened/watched was when the straightpipes were on. Now the channel is barely getting any interactions yet getting 1m views. Not tryna call out bs but... BS. The video is still the same formula that you guys have been using for a while now but its obvious that the subscribers have lost immense interest due to the switch over to the podcast style content. I truly miss the old Unbox therapy, with the quirky new tech reviews and showcases which I would sit down and chow on a bowl of noodles or cereal to. I just miss the old content and I think that alot of people miss that content as well. As i dont know what is going on behind the scenes, i just hop all is well and really hope yall can come back atleast with an address to our community of quirky tech people.
I couldn’t have said it better myself
What's also strange is the amount of views to comments ratio. The channel now just feels vacant.
I miss the old content….when he actually did reviews of all the phones instead of just unboxing. This channel is just boring anymore. I totally forget about this channel. Flossy Carter is the man now!
I think Lew used to review stuff but nowadays this channel feels like a place for him to just talk about stuff that companies sent him on a daily basis
@@Adam91687 from most of the older review channels that were consistent back about 10 years ago, flossy is legit the only one that hasn't changed anything much of his setup

I thought OLED refresh was never an issue, brightness has been the limiting factor when compared to LCD right?
Brightness and burn-in/overheating have been the main issues over the years. The latest OLED monitors are QD-OLED so they are able to achieve a higher level of brightness. They also come with INSANE heatsinks on the back to help with heat issues. As for the burn-in problem, a lot of this has been resolved with things like pixel shift.
Outside of gaming, would you also recommend these displays for video editing?
This display is like a dream for me that play a lot of competitive games like cs2, hunt showdown, tarkov , r6 etc...(Because the 1080p mode).
What PC you rocking?
I've had the 39inch for about a month now and the 45inch LG OLED since the start of the year and seriously the picture quality is awesome when gaming on both of them.
À
“Man these numbers are not looking good right now” You ain’t lying.
Anyone know what happened to the Lew Later podcast?
Using an old Acer 32 inches B326HK (bought 85$ used) and its already the best one for me, pretty sure these new 32" LG OLED's are super duper amazing!. Would want to own some in the future when destiny and budget allows...
That we already have products being reviewed that have better picture quality than our phones can convey back to us is just crazy.
With the 1080p version you can go into Nvidia Control panel and activate DSR to upscale to 4K and maintain the high refresh rate the monitor offers while in 1080p mode.
Technology is amazing
What about text clarity? Have they fixed the oled subpixel layout so that text isn't blurry yet?
Yes, this 4k model has no issues with text clarity. The 1440p models are the same as last year
I like the display but I really hate the stand I prefer the ergo stand
What happened to Lew Later? It was like my favorite show
I came here to see if anyone asked this it's been a year almost
Can anyone tell me what's that black gray keyboard here?
it’s Coolermaster MK770
on your version the stands look completly different to the models that are on LGs website
I have the 240 4k monitor love it
Only complaint is no thunderbolt

I still have a LG 38GN950 and waiting for a new OLED version with better HDR etc.. These new versions are cool and a good first step, but I do not like the big curve and lower resolution.. I hope they'll make big OLED widescreens with less curve and higher resoluton soon..
GREAT VIDEO. Everyone else let this man live in peace. You guys still check out his videos for a reason. Quality product review.
Sorry LG. Not getting my money on ultra wide and curved monitors. The only one that interests me is the 32" but that's too small for me now.
I'm currently using an LG C1 48" OLED 120Hz which I use for gaming and work, I have a large desk and I have the 48" OLED at arms length.
For gaming and depending on the game, I mostly use custom resolutions of 3840x1600 or 3840x1440. Only use the full 3840x2160 for slow paced adventure or tactical games.
For work I use the full 3840x2160. I work in graphic / web design and video editing, so I don't want curved displays warping my shit. I want straight lines not warped curves 😆
I also have a 27" monitor on the left side and at this point I'm not going smaller than 40" ever again or anything worse than OLED ever again.
I'm only upgrading from this LG C1 when this screen dies or when there's something of similar specs and size but at 240Hz or more.
what keyboard is that though?
Cool master 770 - (I think).
Are Apple M series chips be easily hacked ??
It was about time companies do smaller stands.. a monitor is not fighting a hurrican.. it stands on a desk
😂
There are use cases for taller stand, to keep open laptop that doesn't block the monitor (OK I know you have wider desk), or keep a speakers, RAID setups etc (I know you have smart speakers around your home and cloud disk), or keep a pet in front of you (yes you don't have pets).

The matte finish completely ruins it
I thought Lew Later implied they will come back later. But it looks like it's Lew Never at this point.
Thank you for the comparison.
Waiting for the PG32UCDP version.
And here I thought everyone needs 2 monitors.
Not gamers
I have 3 and still thinking about another one.
I swear to God it's like the more space you get to work, the more you desire.
One monitor I completely use for exploring/learning (basically online searches and stuff), one monitor is completely for FILE MANAGEMENT and One for the main editing/work.
But as a 3D artist there are multiple views/projections in a project, so to view them I am thinking about getting another monitor to go on top of the main monitor, just to view different angles of the object.
@@MarcSpctr Same here as a 3ds max user. The one monitor setup always looks so clean though! Unfortunately it's pretty much impossible for our jobs 😭😭

Such a shame that there is no USB C power delivery port :( I would love to use the 32 flat one but I'm used to charge the MBP using a single cable.
Otherwise it seems to be the perfect gaming / 4K companion
Anyone know what keyboard was that?
Yes lew but how much are these monitors
1400$
Sir i am your big big fan please review MSI modern 14 core i5 8 gb ram 512 ssd
I already got 5 screen in my house. Enough is enough
For the 45GS96 model as far as I know it has USB-C and Speakers which you did not mention.
Why does it looks like the color is so flat? Like it's not capable of HDR?
Yes it is, but as you probably know the biggest issue with oled is brightness and because he as to be in a very bright environment for the video it kills the contrast of the monitor. Also seing it through a camera probably makes it worse
@@Louis.brnnnnso in dim room
Hahaha nice diss on LG's WOLED
Color volume isn't the end all be all ;)
Its a bright studio, looks a lot better in normal room.
It's the device you are watching this video on that's causing the issue. 🤦
Only monitor i need until next year or someone puts out something better.
youre telling me youd buy an 8k 240 or somes shit
@@YtStaffMemberhey man, a few years ago I was sold on a 1440p 165hz monitor and didn’t think I’d need more but here I am wanting a brighter monitor… as technology advances I feel like it’s natural to have your wants/needs change

THE ONE TO RULE THEM ALL IS COMING AT THE END OF 2025 from LG.
I bought the Alienware AW2725DF. 27“ QD-OLED, 1440p, 360hz, NO MATTE DISPLAY. That’s pretty much endgame for me.
32 in Alienware u mean lol
Same 👍
Ya but no gysnc = fail
Aw2725df is 27”
I believe glossy matte
And g sync compatible
@@joaquinarchivaldoguzmanloe1073 no, 27“ 1440p
For gaming, you're more than likely wasting graphics power in 24" mode on the 32" Ultra Gear monitor. Just get a monitor size that suits you
You should have tried gaming in 4k 240hz and compare that to the 1080p 480hz to see if there is any difference between the two. Considering how good 240hz already is, I can't imagine 480hz.
I’m at 280hz 4k. I think it’s better than 1080p
That's ok if you can't imagine it. It may be too fast for you 😊 stick with 240!!
just waiting on those prices to drop and then i will jump on a OLED monitor like everything new expensive
You're in for a long wait.
Damn I wonder what would happen to it over a bit hot temperatures on long term as OLED can't take much temp
I want to know how the color accuracy for editing photos and video too... if it's good I will have to sell my Benq monitor.
Monitors just keep getting better and better
Those monitors are beasts 😮
Buying this next week
Would have liked to have 1440p as the second mode instead of 1080p. Who plays on 1080 anymore
😊Gdg 9:05 😮
That wouldn't be possible. It has to be 5k dual mode 1440p.
I like how he’s getting better at games
He has old man thumbs but he does his best. Bless his heart!
This (or other OLED 4K monitors) will not work for productivity because text is not sharp. It is simply nowhere near how sharp text is on IPS. Also, this monitor (and the other QD-OLEDs) are suuuuper dim - if you are used to the brightness of your IPS monitor, this will be at half the brightness.
Have you seen this monitor in person?
I cant decide between 32 and 39. Will 4080 Super be enough for 4k gaming?
I dont like curved monitors, the 32" LG monitor looks really cool
Currently running a 34 inch curved ultrawide. Everything looks fine until you look at something from above for example. Next time I’m probably also switching to 32 inch flat, I don’t really need anything bigger really.
I am a lg fan boy I have a 65in g3 and 65in b6 but I will not get no lg oled monitors until they offer glossy screens.
to😊
I have a few LG G3’s as well and they are incredible. But ASUS and Alienware have already made 4K glossy QD-OLED monitors that released within the last couple of months. Endgame monitors for me. Look them up see what you think
I Dont Need This, We Really Need You❤❤
i have already 49" Gsync 1ms 5120x1440p , i need the newest 2024 5120x2160p OLED Gsync or nothing. 😁

Dog was like; "this ain't for you bruh"
its 2024 and they still put the ports in an impossible to reach location smh
I don't know how many times we have to tell these manufacturers. We want glossy!!!!!
Looks like an amazing monitor but what about USBC port? Come on LG you can't skip that port...
hope they make a glossy version of this too.

Before anyone says LG one comes with 2 year, its only for china base....I already went thru this with LG and had to cancel my order due to it
The bad thing is they're matte, oled should not be with matte coating glossy is much much better
I am never going to buy another monitor that doesn’t at least have usbc connectivity preferably thunderbolt 3 or 4. I’m not using a one trick pony port like hdmi anymore sorry
