    Only thing this great video left out is to let the bike run 5 minutes, cool down and check the oil level on a flat surface.

    Hey B-rad! I just did my first ever oil change on my bike and I put 2.75 Quartz of oil with the new oil filter, but when I check the oil level on the bike the window is fully covered. If I barely tilt the bike to the right (like 1cm tilt) the oil level shows up in the window and its under the maximum mark. How is the behavior on the bike in the video? Thanks

    What specific pitbull stand you got on the rear and the rear spool

    • @BradTheBuilderChannel
      @BradTheBuilderChannel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s part number F0028-000 for the pit bull stand and I’m using tst industry spools. It works but it’s with the adjustable arms all the way out. The stand is also universal and can use just the bumps instead of using the spools if desired.

    I have the same bike and the dealer told me to use semisynthetic 10w-40 and not synthetic and the gearbox is bad and i do not trust him .is it safe to use synthetic?

    • @BradTheBuilderChannel
      @BradTheBuilderChannel  ปีที่แล้ว

      The manual doesn’t specifically say but I’m am certain it’s okay to run full synthetic especially since it’s a 2021. Bad gearbox? That’s news to me. Put in whatever you are comfortable with. I will run full synthetic

    I have my brand new 2022 Mt 07 , and Oil filter on it is 5gh-13440-80. Can't find this filter. Is all of them same 5gh-13440-60, 5gh-13440-61,

    Does the oil filter matter much?

    • @BradTheBuilderChannel
      @BradTheBuilderChannel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah for sure but certainly doesn’t need to be changed every time you change the oil. You can do every other oil change and be fine.

  • @salsamancer
    @salsamancer ปีที่แล้ว +1

    How do you torque that oil filter to spec? You got a torque filter wrench?😂

    • @BradTheBuilderChannel
      @BradTheBuilderChannel  ปีที่แล้ว

      There is an oil filter cup socket the matches the notches in the oil filter which has a 3/8 drive square hole that your torque wrench goes into. Hand tight will Suffice.

    I advise against torqueing that bolt down to 32 ftlbs. You're just going to have alot of ppl crack there oil pans like I did.

    • @yammyking22
      @yammyking22 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Tembel Köpek 16ft lbs is plenty. I tighten mine without a torque wrench now tho and I've been good. Snug is good enough.

    • @Tembel_Kopek
      @Tembel_Kopek ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@yammyking22 Thanks. I was wondering, 32 ftlbs seems pretty high for aluminum, but even the manual says 32 ftlbs. I also tighten the plug of my car without a torque wrench, but I've never done it on my MT.

    • @BigFoofies
      @BigFoofies ปีที่แล้ว

      There’s a lot of feedback in the forums about this. Going as far as people claiming they spoke to Yamaha and Yamaha admitted 32lbs is too much.

      @@BigFoofies I torqued mine to 20nm which is about between 15 and 16 ftlbs. Seemed perfectly snug to me, no leakage either.
