Thanks. I’ve actually been changing it based on how it looks. As soon as it gets dark enough where I can’t see the metal piece inside the spyglass I change it. That’s been more frequent than recommended but I don’t mind.
Nice and easy vid to follow the steps! I got a brand new mt07 last year but got a ”problem” when changing gear especially 2-3 that it feels a bit harsh and hard. Like a small boom when changing gear. Is that normal for the yamaha bikes?
Thanks! That doesn’t sound normal. I’ve never had any issues with the transmission. I would get it checked out. If it’s still under warranty I’d take it to Yamaha.
It happens with the FZ25, when I change gears from 1-2, it does make a sound. Check the idle rpm, it’s supposed to be on 1,300 rpm and check the chain tension
@@rebellucy6200 that’s interesting. Double check the chain tension as mine became too loose a couple weeks after purchasing. If that looks ok I’d suggest taking it to the dealer for inspection. Best of luck
You should wear gloves. engine oil is bad for you. Same crush washer does for years. 2.75 quarts! why don't you all go metric instead of 50/50? Good video.
Quick tip: don't ever remove the top cap unless you're putting oil in. Dust might fall in, a fly, a piece of rock. Whatever. Useless and stupid idea to remove it beforehand.
Sick ass vid man 💪🏽😤 excellent explanation and walk through 💯
Nice, oil and filter change is cheap insurance, do it guys, it only takes 10 minutes 😀
Exactly…very quick and easy job. 👍🏼
As long as it's between those two lines it's good right? I mean does it have to go max?
Great video! 🫡
Thanks 🙏🏼
the oem yamaha oil filter o ring come with grease on it
Yes it came with a film of grease but not all filters do 👍🏼
Great vid. Do you do it more often than they recommend? If so, how many kms or miles do you go?

@@Kmoto530 Cheers mate. I think I'll do the same. Love my MT. Ride it every day rain hail or shine.
Nice review on the MT07 oil change procedures. Thanks...
Gord
Thank you 🙏🏼

I have a new 2023 and experiencing hard shifts also. Did you get it fixed or serviced? I was planning on taking mine in to the dealer.

At the begging I got scared when you were losing the oil nut since it was too tight. My FZ25 oil nut needs just 15 foot pounds torque not 32
Yes, the mt07 manual recommends the drain bolt be torqued down to 43 nm or 32 lb ft.
I have the same bike and color😊
It’s an awesome bike 👍🏼

Thank you for watching and your suggestions. 👍🏼

Omg a spec of dust in your oil😂
