The most handsome man ever, the best entertainer ever, the voice and stage presence is unmatched to this day. He changed the music industry and the culture forever. Without Elvis music would not sound and look like it does now. He influenced all after him
Even if you did one reaction a day for a year of studio recordings, you wouldn't be even halfway through his catalog, lol. Then there's another mountain of material from 31 full movies to concerts, TV specials, rehearsal stuff, home recordings! It's almost endless. All done in a 23 year career.
Didn't need that movie to know. Being a fan you know and growing up while he was alive and the Heartache when he died. The world stood still on August 16th 1977. I cried that day and days after.
There was a whole session with Elvis and his band members on this special. Two of his original band members from the 50s were there. Scout Moore and DJ Fantana.
The guys on the stage with Elvis were members of his original band from the fifties. Scottie Moore is the acoustic guitarist from the beginning who had lost contact with Elvis while he was doing his movie career for eight years. Elvis was so entertaining.
The opening set of the Special was Elvis and his friends doing a number of songs, including this one. It also featured "One Night with You," and "Lawdy Miss Clawdy." After a number of years of Parker trying to turn Elvis into the boy-next-door through his movies, Binder and Elvis decided to take him back to his roots - showing once again that Elvis as the dangerous rebel, and wouldn't be boxed into the frame Parker was aiming for. Thanks for this Drew - keep on rockin' with the King.
Welcome back to the Elvis journey and we missed you and as always ELVIS doesn't let you down , I have requested so many different reactors to listen to Elvis singing Loving Arms it is not a video performance , just pics i know that you will love it, , stay with Elvis Now and Forever. TCB 1935
Seeing and hearing Elvis Presley is always a pleasure! He made a song with 2 totally different versions. STRANGER IN MY OWN HOMETOWN. One is a dance version, the other one a x- rated blues version. Thank you for this great reaction!💚☀️
Background is that before doing the production numbers on the show Elvis would relax backstage with his friends jamming. The producer of the show saw this and wanted film them. In the end however they recreated the jam sessions on stage
Scotty Moore(guitar) and D. J. Fontana (Drums) from his early years along with Charlie Hodge, who Elvis met in the army and would later join him on stage in Vegas were the ones on that stage with him.
Remember: Elvis became a star before the rise of the singer-songwriter. It was common for pop singers in the ‘50s and ‘60s to sing songs from popular songwriters, like Leiber & Stoller. That’s why you hear so many artists playing the same songs back then. It wasn’t even considered “covering” a song, it was just common practice to play what was popular regardless who wrote it.
One of my favorites from that special although I love that whole segment with his original band from the 50s and early 60s. Minus Bill Black, the stand-up bass player, who died early.
I love love love this performance! Another video in the ring like that is "4 songs from the 68 Comeback Special". I suggest watching that. BTW: the Eagles were not even a band yet when Elvis performed this song so I don't know where that info came from but it's not factual. LONG LIVE ELVIS!
The Eagles related to this song is not the famous group you are thinking of. There was another group called The Eagles who originally recorded this song in 1954.
So you probably saw just a very small part of the '68 Special. The only song I remember when Elvis was alone on stage was "If I can dream" (white suit performance). But that's fine because it means that still you have to react to many songs. 😄
Bands have multiple personalities and they sort of compete with each other. Hard to react to individuals. Elvis was that individual that stood out because of his uniqueness. He started trends not only in music but hairstyles, sideburns, dress style. The girls went crazy with his moves and groans. His looks and sexy voice was icing on the cake.
I love hearing reactions to Elvis.. My Mom raised me on him.. but here's a ?.. does anyone react to the Paisano's that my Dad raised me on?.. Frankie, Deano, and singers from that same era like Nat King Cole... Beautiful music.
Love your genuine reaction to Elvis. For us Elvis fans from the beginning it brings us joy that you are introducing Elvis to new audiences. One of Elvis best movies is King Creole. It has three great songs. Crawfish is the intro song. Must watch this clip from beginning. Filmed in New Orleans and has a that Blues vibe. If you’re looking for trouble and King Creole are the other two songs you will like. Elvis fans are watching.
I have been waiting and waiting and waiting for you to do another Elvis reaction. I have enjoyed them so much and honestly was very disappointed when I kept scrolling and just didn’t see any. I was in my car yesterday on the way home and scrolling and I jumped up and said to my husband, oh my God, he did an Elvis Reaction. You are just now appreciating Elvis. When I was five years old 61 years ago, I saw him on TV for the very first time something happened to me that day. I can’t explain it. I wish I could, but it was if I got hit by lightning. Being only five years old it wasn’t his looks. I don’t know what it was. All I know is that he touched my soul. My dad was watching the end of his movie. I heard the song young and beautiful. It was the last song in the movie, jailhouse rock. I don’t know I heard it and it was the first time ever that I felt that he was singing it only to me. I felt that way for 60 years later. Loving Elvis is kind of hard to define, but if I could try to define it, I would say that I loved him the man first and I loved the entertainer second. He gave me something. nobody else was able to give, and after he died, I have been devoted to his memory ever since. God bless and keep you safe and thank you for this lovely surprise. You made me happy.
The whole special is memorable. He sings many of his early hits. Another great song in that special has a great guitar melody It’s Baby What you want me to do. Also, he sings Memories which my daughter has been instructed to play at my celebration of life, when my time comes to join my husband and maybe meet Elvis.

Elvis did three '68 comeback specials in the black leather, the last was in a suit. I had them all on VHS, it took forever for them to put the others on DVD. He looked rested....
There are several segments to the’68 Comeback Special. This clip features a very close knit audience and Elvis’ band mates who started out with him in the 1950’s.
68 var opdelt i 2 shows, et hvor han stod op og et hvor han skulle sidde ned. I det hvor han sidder ned skulle vis hvordan ham og han band jammede og hyggede med musikken ❤
2 selections of songs of Elvis in the leather suit. It's Elvis only in the stand-up selection of songs; and It's Elvis & his original band in the sit-down selection of songs.
They filmed 2 Stand Up Shows and 2 Sit Down Shows and cut it for the official TV Special. Maybe you saw and reacted to some songs of the Stand Up Shows, where Elvis is allone on stage, while on the Sit Down Shows Elvis has some musicians with him. They are: Charlie Hodge, guitar and vocals, Scotty Moore, original guitar player since 1954, DJ Fontana, original drummer since 1954, Alan Fortas, no musician but a good friend of Elvis. Later in Las Vegas and on tour Elvis changed the musicians, exept Charlie Hodge.
This is from the sit down section of the 68 comeback special and infact there's a separate video called one night with you wear you see a full video of the sit down section but the special edition dvd of the 68 comeback special has even more sit down section videos as its recorded over different sections so you have different versions from each songs that actually sound somewhat different because elvis never did songs exactly the same way he used to ad bits take bits out split songs together do faster versions or do slower versions or rockier versions or just muck about during songs that's the beauty of elvis theirs so many different versions of recorded songs and live songs that sound so different you can react to elvis for 10 years and still have new or different materials to react to and with the studio recordings sometimes the unofficial versions (takes) are better than the official version
MMB - You perfectly summed up my favorite entertainer throughout my life. The instrument performers and backup singers were his own band players and yes they were on the stage with him. Thank you for you testimonial to his pure talent. ❤🙏🇺🇸
It's about time you got back to Elvis. It was him who grew your channel. So he's still helping people. You looked a bit lack lustre when watching. I hope you're OK. Thank you for playing and being willing to go back over him. If you need help, it's Elvis who'll do it. Decent reaction just different from your previous ones last year . EDIT; Sorry I got you mixed up with President Pat who's always really enthusiastic xx
When people hear this song today they usually say it’s one of their favorites and agree with you that it’s a standout. For some reason it never really did well in the charts. Perhaps because it is too bluesy and not very pop sounding 🤷♀️ Elvis obviously loved it since it came up in the sit down session and he included it on studio recordings and live performances throughout his career. I agree with you that it’s standout ❤ great reaction
This song was not released as a single at anytime so it is impossible to discuss its chart success or otherwise. It was released in an album in 1956. Also, it was Elvis’ father’s favourite song.
Elvis was , and still is , and always will be THE MAN ... TCB forever !
The most handsome man ever, the best entertainer ever, the voice and stage presence is unmatched to this day. He changed the music industry and the culture forever. Without Elvis music would not sound and look like it does now. He influenced all after him

I have a huge poster of Elvis from this concert in my recording studio. Its a photo taken when he was performing this song.
This is one of my favourite performances from the 68 special you’re right about his vocals probably one of the best
Didn't need that movie to know. Being a fan you know and growing up while he was alive and the Heartache when he died. The world stood still on August 16th 1977. I cried that day and days after.
We love a bad boy.
Favorite song alert! In my top 10 of all time
Elvis had his whole band there on the stage with him. They were cutting up and making jokes.. Best concert ever..
