There used to be a comedian in the UK called Tommy Copper, who could walk on stage, not say anything for 5 min's, and the audience would be crying with laughter the whole time.

Not a word spoken in his performance. Genius comedy actor and a great racing driver. Fab taste in cars. Up until recently one of his 'dailys' (daily driving cars) was a beautiful, original McLaren F1. Sold it for millions I believe.

Since we're in the Christmas season, I really would love for you to do "Merry Christmas, Mr. Bean" (Transmitted 29-12-1992). Probably one of the funniest one off specials they ever made. Rowan's "Mr. Bean" was never better than in that. It's an absolute must in our family to watch over the holiday period. I hope Craig will be able to provide you with a good source! (I'm sure he'd agree). If not it is on YT. So good luck!

I would just like to point out that my favourite insult is “muppet”. I’m very English so, it would tend to be while driving when you are going to get “wtf are you doing you f’ing muppet? Did you not see the “give way” with your muppet eyes? It’s obvious it’s not your day to have the family brain cell”.
All of this with the car window open so they can hear and no expectation of getting shot. It’s so nice.

For those not in the know the "lecturer" in this sketch is Angus Deayton, who used to host a popular topical news quiz comedy panel on the BBC called "Have I got news for you" (which coincidentally has been running since 1990). Deayton was caught with a prostitute and large amounts of drugs in what was described at the time as a "sex romp" where the prostitute claimed "he was the best I've ever had" etc. He was fired after fresh allegations a few weeks later.

Lee Evans also did some amazing non-verbal sets/skits in his heyday but sadly its hard to get full performances on youtube and the like as his management are pretty hot on getting stuff taken down. Growing up my dad was a fan of Norman Wisdom who was another very expressive act. Of course you have all the silent stars (Buster Keaton, Harold Lloyd etc.) and early acts up to Laurel and Hardy etc. from the early talky days. Jerry Lewis was also excellent at the non verbal comedy. If you want to have a great laugh with physical, mostly non verbal comedy look up an old british film called "The Plank" which had some of the best slapstick british comedians all in one film going through loads of the old men with a plank bits from throughout vaudville and early cineme.
Yeah I knew quite a few stereo flexers back in the day with the needlessly expensive and convoluted systems that usually sounded terrible because they didn't know how to set it up properly.. I had a more subtle, inconspicuos compact system (JVC Adagio S20 - 90's tech) that was actually pretty powerful despite only having 2 speakers it could still be heard a long way off if pumped up (several neighbours away) but had zero distortion and had a weird virtual 3D effect using the walls to throw sound round the room. The only time I ever really pumped it up was those occassions when a neighbour was playing stuff too loud and I'd drown them out and they''d usually get the message. I still have it and use it to run my computer audio through when not using headphones so it seldom goes above 25% output these days.
