Love Crowley….a great song that doesn’t get much attention is “Diary of a Madman” by Ozzy Osbourne. It’s on the Diary of a Madman album which is the second album by Ozzy! You should check it out. The song gives u complete chills. It’s a total great feeling so you know.
Jimmy Page owned Aleister Crowley’s house in the 70’s. Jet records were owned by Don Arden who was Sharon Arden’s father, later to become Ozzy’s wife. Sharon was Ozzy’s manager at the time, prior to that she managed The Electric Light Orchestra. Bassist Bob Daisley claims to have written much of the material on the Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a madman albums. It led to a big legal case, eventually resulting in Daisley and drummer Lee Kerslake’s parts being removed from later releases of the albums and replaced with other musicians.
In the song it’s pronounced Crowley but in real life Aleister Crowley name is pronounced like Croh-ly. That is correct. Ozzie saying “would you ride my white horse” is thought to be Ozzie inviting him to come on a drug trip.
I don't know a whole lot about Crowley, but I've seen mention of him in a book I read about Led Zeppelin called Hammer Of the Gods. Jimi Paige was a follower. I think a lot of people with too much money and too many drugs were. Ozzie is a good Christian boy who probably never approved of that occult silliness
Alistair Crowley was trying to apply scientific method (or what wa called scientific method in the early early 1900s) to metaphysics. but his reputation is stained by hanging out with the less savory clairvoyants and charlatans of the day... imho, which means he put out a lot of crap, but had some gems mixed in with his philosophies. Ozzy seems to be angry that Crowley was trying to "de-mystify" the occult"... a lot of people seem to think science and spiritual should not be mixed. but i think they should, so i like that Alistair Crowley at least tried. as for more Ozzy/Black Sabbath songs... the better songs are usually deeper cuts... personally, i think "Faeries Wear Boots"and "Planet Caravan" are the best on the Paranoid album.
I respect your opinion on Ozzy's voice not being pleasing to your ears. Art is subjective. He's had a very successful career for over 50 years just off of his voice. I agree, he doesn't have a lot of range, but the range he is in must be very pleasing to a lot of people. Between Sabbath and solo work, he's sold over 100 mil ALBUMS. But respect. I won't be looking for much Ozzy here.✌
Record = Track or tract Yeah OZZY isnt Sonically sound; but his voice just fits the creepy, sinister, even occult Or doom vibes! + He is so unmistakable as a vocalist & showman. I believe Geezer, Bill Ward & Iommi wrote most of Sabbath's songs & compositions. Go back to Sabbath W Ozzy...... Better days & better Tracks!! 'The Wizard' next please
Crowley rade the Tarot card into an evil type thing and was considered the most evil man of his time. I understand that Jimmy Page owns or owned his mansion.

The studio version.Splendid.
To me the Best version is on the Tribute album. ✌️😉
Sabbath will never do you wrong and they all will be remembered for what they left us. Pure 🔥
That first lead break always gives me chills!
Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a Madman are all the proof anyone needs to confirm that Randy Rhoads was the best metal guitar player ever 🔥
Randy was shredding it 🔥
I don't know a lot about him, but Alistair Crowley was an occultist who lived for a time on the shores of Loch Ness.
The Blizzard of Oz and Diary of a Madman albums are some of the greatest Metal guitar ever recorded by Randy Rhodes

Ozzie is just the "Fuckin Singer" according to himself. This song was written as a group. Crowley was popular at the time with Jimmie Page and others.
Listen to I Just Want You. Ozzy's best, if underrated, song.
He has such a unique voice
Check out his version of the BeaTles classic , “ in my life”
He kills it

How about listen to “tonight” by Ozzy…it’s off the Diary of a Madman album……..he’s got better vocals than what one thinks….✌️
🖤
Don't think too much about mr Crowley. Just the enjoy the song

Been waiting for your take on Packers/Lions. I understand you are probably heartbroken but despite the loss I think the Pack is looking pretty good.
More Steely Dan Please.

OZZY IS A FUCKIN LEGENDARY MFER SON....thanks for your reaction
🖤Bob Bryar, drummer of My Chemical Romance recently died. Would you please react to their song 'The Black Parade'? Thanks.
Your first pronunciation of Crowley was correct; singing Ozzy was not accurate in that enunciation. AC pronounced his name this way. Nice reaction.
