Top down driving in a 1965 Ford Mustang!

This convertible was built on May 24th 1965, it’s an original Arcadian Blue car with Light Blue and White Crinkle Vinyl Deluxe interior. It has power steering, brakes and a power top as well as factory AC. It also features the signatures of Carroll Shelby, Bob Bondurant, Phil Remington and Jerry Grant on the glovebox door.
We believe the car was gifted to a family member in 1985, when it underwent a thorough restoration (we have receipts from 1985 onwards), that was just under 12k miles ago. During that restoration they added the 289 V8. The previous owner purchased the car in 2015 from that owner with 86k miles on the clock. They added a new top and spent over $10k over the next 4 years improving various things around the vehicle (spreadsheet in the gallery).
The current owner purchased it in 2019. They had two small rust bubbles on the trunk lid and passenger door repaired and primed before wrapping the entire car in Ice Blue 3M wrap. They also added the Rally-Pac, fog lights, sequential rear turn signals, center armrest and Hi-Po air cleaner. They added new tires and did an oil change service in late 2023.
