I remember when I was there, in the audience, on Canada AM. It was a dream come true to meet Amanda in person and have her sign my CD sleeves. At the time, I was 20 something and very shy. I had finished the night shift at work and went to the studio on 2 hours of sleep. I was a nervous, shy wreck. My photo with Amanda came out dark :( This was my one and only time seeing Amanda perform live, but I hope to see her perform and hopefully meet her again. Amanda Marshall is my first musical hero.
MASSIVE talent . For my money one of the best singer - songwriters of the last 20 years. It’s such a shame she was throttled by record companies - management company snakes or whatever. Denied millions of people her talent . Sad. I have all of her CD’s & Still listen to them often .
We need her back??? Disputes with record companies and artist management should never in any circumstances silence an artist. She was a talent beyond recognition and an incredible voice that even Elton John commented on back after her first release.
@@amandascrimgeour2510 amen to that! You know from the 1960s 1970s management has been less then creditable to Artists going back to EP! I work in the and I know. But Artists have to not only be aware of their talent and craft they half to be aware of their management as well or there should be a code of ethics to be a manager of an Artist. I look at it as Management should always take a percentage of Artist gross period! And not charging Artists for booking Recording Studio time, accommodation, travel, or other misc expenses. Amanda got involved with a scumbag management firm that ruined Jeff Healy's career and Amanda's! But regardless of disputes disagreements and or parting ways no management should be able to silence and or disrupt an Artists future moving forward!!!! If this didn't happen she would be right up there with a lot of the great female vocalist of today! Lastly I followed her and my now wife got me front row tickets at Massy Hall after her release of her first LP and she had me on the back of my seat with her pitch, power, and precision, it blew me away!!! I also watched her show in Ottawa before the pandemic and marveled at the fact that she hasn't loss it a bit! So happy she's back!
I wish there was an up-to-date In her own words video. I listen to her CD's which I've had since they first came out. Not a day goes by without Amanda. I finally got my wish and saw her 150th Canada anniversary concert in St. Catharines in 2017. It was AWESOME!
It is a pity that people in Germany seldom hear anything from her. great singer, is somehow not noticed in the radio. she does not deserve a pity. the radio stations play music past the listeners anyway. the music repeats itself often some tracks you can hear 2-3 times a day and considering that radio should be there for everyone the choice of music is very limited and then an amanda marshall falls through easily. vote and optics class!
