- Can we beat the Secret Levels in Super Mario 3D World without ever touching nor collecting a single coin? We already attempted to beat the game without collecting a single coin previously, but now, we will try to do so in tthe special worlds that are unlocked after you defeat Bowser! Those four new worlds are World Mushroom, Flower, Star and Crown! Let's play all those levels to finally answer that question : Is it possible to beat the SECRET LEVELS in Super Mario 3D World without touching a single coin?

I think there's a split path between Flower-2 and Flower-3. You can ignore Flower-2 and go to Flower-3 instead. So the actual minimum amount of coins are 5

@@benkeates7818 Yea that was the only mistake I found in Nico's video. He's definitely gotten more creative with avoiding coins than before here, so this really was an easy way to fix it.
There are more than five because the way to unlock world 👑 you need every star stamp and the top of the every flag pole and some stars contain coins

Hello Nicobbq. i made this comment that in this coinless video you kinda missed one more option to kill those peepas in that level, dash 8 and mushroom dash 6. And that special option is using the invincibility leaf. As you may know, the invincibility leaf can be accessed by letting the character your playing as die 5 times in a level, then you'll see al block with the leaf inside it, and the invincibility leaf can kill the enimies like it was a god. But here's the thing, when you kill enimies with that invincibility leaf, you don't automatically collect the the coins from those enimies you kill. So you can kill those annoying peepas, let the coins they drop de- spawn, and hit the flagpole. Also I think you can use co-op to get rid of that stupid annoyingly placed coin in flower dash 2, and I think you can also use peach since she has the float ability to avoid coins in most of the levels. I'm not 100% sure on this but you can try those 2 options to do flower dash 2 coinless.

I am not sure that the invincibility leaf can be accessed in the Special World. Or am I just thinking of 3D Land and not 3D World?
@@emilythebat5761 It doesn't appear in Champion's Road, but it does appear in the rest of the spedial worlds.
Howeverm if you completed the level without spawning it, there's no way to bring it to the level on this save file.

No it's not because in sand kingdom there's a 8 bit part were at the end there's a platform to get out but the platform has coins on it

BEFORE everyone writes that it's impossible, there are many captures etc.
There are ways how you can throw cappy WITHOUT increasing the counter. It's a fun challenge to find this technique and it's very hard to use these techniques in a playthrough.
Sadly it isn't possible to complete the game with no cappy throws but it's just BARELY not possible, The only 3 required cappy throws are in the church in moon kingdom

He'd have to avoid getting hit the entire game because one single hit will kill him every single time if he has 0 rings.

"Rings are the equivalent of Mario's coins. Collect 100 and Sonic will receive an extra life. Having 50 at the end of either Act 1 or 2 of any given zone will cause an enormous ring to appear above the exit that acts as a portal to the Bonus World, where Sonic can maneuver through a topsy-turvy trippy dream world to compete for a Chaos Emerald. Sonic's rings act as a sort of shield for him. If he is hit, a mess of rings will fly away from his body, leaving him vulnerable to die by the hand of any enemy that gets near him. As long as you have one ring to your name, you can't die unless you fall in a pit, touch spikes, or get crushed between a moving surface and another wall. If you read the last line there, you may understand slightly more, and not say such stupid fucking things in the future. Especially because you tried reinforcing it by repeating your stupid idea, and then even continuing with "not the same at all"... So tell me genius, what exactly is the fucking difference? He'd have to play so slow to collect no rings, then on top he has to do an entire no-hit run at the same time, because remember if you have no rings and get hit you die, so if you do a no-hit you may as well be doing a no-ring run because they are definitely unequivocally connected to each other.

About World Flower-2, I believe using 2 characters might avoid the coins. In multi-player mode the characters change the position they fall when the get teleported in the exclamation boxes, and luckily in some combination they don't fall in the pesky coin at the end. Hope it works, I can't chek it out sadly!

11:00 tip, you can also use the wii u gamepad to activate the blue switches, blue swithes behind grates cant be activated this way, so you can swipe your stylus or finger across the gamepad (very carefully if coins are around) to do this part a bit faster

Flower-2 can actually be skipped because it is located on a split path. Therefore the minimum number of coins is 5.
fun fact, in flower-8 if you line up just right at the center of the red/blue toggle block slide you can just let Mario slide down without falling off or having to move back and forth between them

I think the top-down level is more of a Xevious-esque style than Zelda, what with auto-scolling up as enemies try to swarm you.
Those octogombas were so easy to kill in Mario galaxy.
It takes more coins because to unlock champion's road you need to beat every level with all 5 characters, bringing the total to at least 30. Nice video anyway!
If you do the special world of 3D Land something I noticed is that with the special tanooki suit ground pounding causes the enemy to drop their coin.

I'm pretty sure it would be impossible to even reach Champion's Road coinless since you need to 100% every other level to access it, but Green Star coins add to the counter.

At 17:45 the answer sign "NO!" just popped up so quickly. It is not possible to do it because in S-8, you get four coins from the Super Peepas, in M-6, you get the coin from that unkillable enemy, and in F-2, you get that end coin after coming out of the block.
Minimum required: 6 coins
Just to let you know (for anyone who hasn't gotten this far) to unlock world crown, you have to get every stamp, and green star as well as get the top of the flagpole in every level. The secret worlds don't have stamps (for some reason).

When you beat Flower-1, you can go to either Flower-2 or Flower-3. In that fact, you forgot to mention to remove Flower-2 from the Minimum Required list because when Flower-1 is finished, the next is on a branchpath, so let’s try Flower-3 instead so we need a minimum of 5 coins to beat all the secret levels (except World Crown because you need everything to go there) with no coins.

You don't need a fire flower for World Flower - 3, as jumping on the plants doesn't automatically give you any coins but instead they fall on the floor

I don't know about the Wii U version but on the Nintendo Switch version of the game you can exit the course and you will still be in the game but you'll lose anything you collected in that stage. It's a lot quicker

nvm, warioland 2 has an impassable hallway in the first level, so unless you don't wake up it's impossible

(quick note,) I've never played 3d world but ive been thinking alot about the ants. Surely if you stood around the flagpole and killed the ants 10, 12 or even 15 times in a row, the cannon would run out of ants to shoot. Then they would stop spawning all together and you could grab the flag pole.

12:07 This level(Flower-3) ... This level ist the disgusting level in the game! Shoot all the torches with a fireball to collect a star. For the last star all torches throughout the level have to burn. This is The last level is not easy, but not as painful as this level.
I spend hours, to complete this only level.
