You can play the wii version on your phone as well but i dont think there are many phones that will hit 60, my s9 struggles to hold 60 in most wanted for the gamecube.

It's a frankenstein of the old games done by a smaller dev team except with a lot less money/manpower than MW/Carbon. The MW engine and many assets were reused to make development for the lower end systems easier and ease on the budget which was low.
Nfs Undercover WII is a really fun game,even with it's problems and rubberband,the pursuits are really engaging,even though they're glitchy asf

I'ts a bad game,nfs undercover for ps2 and wii is just nfsmw with bad graphics,handling and with some bad races (yes,i complete this game on ps2) i actually like the psp version,The ds version is actually pretty good,i still don't play the xbox 360 version.

They didn't had budget neither time,they gave their best to make the game atleast fun to play,if ea didn't called them out so late maybe we could had the best Nfs of that era
Basically this game with a lot more polish and better graphics, as well as the next gen cars could have been awsome
@@thyagobsz8771 Exactly, 6 months and it was first time the devs ever got in contact with EAGL engine. I kind of wish that someone would leak all the sourcecode they have so community may do a fixed up PC and maybe Android ports of this game. With all issues sorted out :v
I know it technicly is playable with Dolphin which i already do, but it would run so much better natively on android, with no need for most powerful phones around.

If you did not know, the map in this version of Undercover was just Rockport rearanged and textures were changed to just overlookably resemble the tri city bay. The reason that is true was because Exient only had one console game under their belt.
Also bc of the development time, they didn't have the time to make a whole new map. So instead they had to re-texture everything

Let's be honest , Undercover was more Miami than Heat especially the music.

Dude the absolute best thing about the wii version of undercover was if you in a zonda or Ccx or anything with an extremely high acceleration rate, if you reset in front of cops and floor it + nos right away you can get out of the bust cycle

The ps2 version was my first and favorite version of NFS Undercover.

Because it's genuinely fun, gameplay and style they went with execution of PC story is really good, its just very unfinished mostly because of lack of experience with eagl engine by Exient devs and mainly severe lack of time, they literarily had just 6 months.

For undercover, I’d like to have the 360 version become backwards compatible and have the PS2 version be ported straight over, no remaster necessary. And have them together in a bundle.

Personally, i love undercover pc. The endgame gameplay is what i loves the most because you got absurdly fast cars and a crazy sense of speed paired with even crazier cops makes the chases so freaking fun

EDIT: the Wii versions has some broken AI. The PS2 is not any better but I don't recall those random respawns.
Those "random" respawns werent so random.
If a cop car falls from the bridge, the game will simply try to respawn the nearest car, but the game skips cop cars while searching for the nearest car and resets you weirdly.
@@SummonerArthur well jeez, but then again what did i expect from a port of a game that does the bare minimum by reusing assets from old games as well as using handling from old games as a last resort to get it out as soon as possible. Is it just me or is it that people hate when the 7th gen versions try to at least do something new but apperantly it flopped and are 100% okay with an asset flip...

PS3 undercover was amazing
The only issues I have with Undercover Wii/PS2 so far, since I haven't actually played it yet unlike the PC version, is how basic the font is, and how bland/unfinished-looking the lighting is compared to other NFS games on either consoles (except Hot Pursuit 2010 Wii).
True, Undercover was rushed game in the end, but still, is fun

When i was younger, I first played this, and then MW, and I was like "wait, did they steal this map from Undercover?"
Finally, a video of the PS2 copy, which is better than any other copy imo.
The PS2 version is lowkey heaps good even though it plays funny with its weird AI and rubberbanding

I remember getting this on the PS2 and being so upset that I wasnt getting the next gen version. Little did I know I had the better version. The PC version is borderline unplayable.
The real game (360/PC) has no split screen and is clearly unfinished but the PS2/Wii game is just a crap mod for most wanted, both are massive let downs.

the worst thing about undercover ps2 , is that on the main menu. is that its literally the same menu as carbon. Even the boss vinyls from carbon exist in the car debug customize. All the way down to the point where you can load the files but due to missing cars in the database

9:32 heyyy his answer to my question got into the video. I still think it deservers a remaster because a remaster isn't just different graphics and slight additions. The physics can be changed, bloom reduced, bugs fixed and fov fixed (even tho there's a mod for that) without having to spend money on a complete remake. Same goes for ProStreet, broken game with potential to be loved my many.

The 360 version (the REAL game) is unfinished and has no split-screen (unforgivable for a racing game) while the PS2 version is just a mod for Most Wanted, I wish they had delayed it for a year and cancelled NFS: Shit so we could have had a finished, full game with no missing features on all consoles. This was the last real NFS, it's such a shame they half assed it on every platform.
I hate the constant PSP Version hate, like EVERY TIME 🤣 Seriously though, playing it on an actual PSP it's great and of course it's Portable after all (I initially played it just prior to the PSVita launched, so there wasn't anything better looking in terms of Handhelds, and I played through it between classes at TAFE so it was a solid time waster 👍)

Honestly tho. For a Mobile game developer who basically had only made 1 Console game, had no money, and were very short on time, the game was still pretty fun.
