facts, price and looks like the best most put together boat. Every thing looks amazing. I just wish for a fishing boat it already had a garmin or something already in it and a ruler on the floor in th bow starboard or something like that.
We agree. The price allows you to play with some of the additions you want. GPS, fish finder and electronics in general. Even then, it’s way cheaper than the others. The sea pro seemed well put together also.
Great job. So many don’t look into detail like y’all do. The aluminum boat market is just as bad if not worse. When I’m at a boat show most dealers can’t answer common questions. One dealer said to never buy a Mercury if going in salt water.
We try to get as much detailed review as we can because people deserve to know. Realistically, most people just don’t know how to look. It’s the same for cars. If our videos can help then that’s great. Luckily, the dealers we interacted with and their employees seemed very knowledgeable fwiw. Than you for watching! 🛥️🤙🌊
Our family got our 20ft Sea Ray Bowrider in 1993 for $18,000 new. Still runs and looks great to this day. Granted, it is only used in the summer with relatively low hours, but it’s still impressive how well it has held up.
Those nice little touches, the stainless steel springs, soft, closing doors, etc. that can all be added to any vote you buy or may own. It is definitely a nice touch to find on your new boat. But always remember, they could be easily added to any boat. A full size West Marine retailer will have everything you need to turn your basic boat into a higher quality boat.
Thanks rich I appreciate you! I agree with you. Overall this one just hit every mark. Quality, value and style! Hoping to get a ride on one soon to report back! 🛥️🤙🌊
Kenner boats were very popular from Louisiana to Florida's panhandle. They were known for there hull design and solid fiberglass build. They are sought after for rebuilds and restoration. Very solid boats that are very similar to blazer bay. Kenner and blazer bay are known for there hull and no frills design for outdoorsman. I personally look for older Kenner boats to restore and sell. Just good boats. Frontier is starting to make a name for themselves. Awesome video guys, love it.
I’ve never heard anything bad about Kenner until they were sold to bass pro. Seems like may have suffered the same fate as mako boats. Frontier was a breath of fresh air amongst the other boats we saw. Everything was just put together very well. Just like the alk2. A lot of these other boats had some issues but I think if they’d address these small things, they’d be an overall ok boat for a first time buyer. Only thing is, you don’t know how the rest of the construction process was made. I’d be weary. Thanks for the comment man we appreciate you watching! 🛥️🤙🌊
Yes, I have a 2020 Bayliner Trophy CC. And yes, the build quality is terrible. But the boat was much much less than others in its class. Half the price of a couple. But, I re-caulked the entire boat. Replaced all hardware. And had the factory/dealer repair some fiberglass. I polished it myself and removed the Bayliner decals. And it’s a beautiful boat now. It has been quite reliable.
I can see how that’s a little confusing. All these boats are fiberglass but some use wood in the construction while others use composite materials like coosa board for example. The difference would be price. Wood is cheaper to use than composite. 🌊🛥️🤙
Sure thing, send us an email! We’re not professionals by any means. We just see enough good and bad boats to see what’s done right and wrong for the most part!🌊🤙🛥️
Good video, as usual. However, I don't think I'll ever purchase a new boat. I'd rather buy used at a cheaper price and use the difference in value to repair the used one. I will still come out ahead in the long run. Keep up the great work.
Frontliner amazing so far maybe I will get one, but the sea pro is right there and I like the ruler for fishes a real fishing boat lol. I feel that more fishing in mind boats should have an awesome ruler on the side of the boat near the bow on both port and starboard side. Sea pro has that simrad already nice love that :) I like the frontline more
Last comment of the video lol this was awesome, I am glad I have an idea what I will buy for my next boat. I would definitely have a bettter storage for it not just a cover. :)
The Polar with the "loose wire" at the fuel tank was the fuel sender. They disconnect it so the show thinks there's no fuel in the boat. Fire regulations...
Have y’all or will you do a bass boat one? It seems basscat and Phoenix boats are the best made but we’ve had some new brands like falcon, ikon, and Caymas.
That’s a great question. We don’t see to many bass boats at the shows we go to. I like to bass fish I’ve just always done it on shore on lake banks. We get large mouth and peacock bass here in sfl. I just don’t know enough about the boats to even speak on them. I’d look rather silly lol. I don’t mind going over some if we come across them at shows though! 🛥️🤙🌊
The key is weight. When a 19 foot boat only weighs 2000 lbs that becomes a problem in 2-3 ft waves. Your better off buying a used, well taken care of, 5-7 yr old boat from Grady, Pursuit, Boston....
The Kenner guys also make blackjack bay boats. They are a higher end, more customizable bay boat. A loaded 256 coastal can cost nearly $200k loaded out. The Yamaha part made me cringe a little because a 260hp jet boat is more like 150hp (or less) outboard. They are noisier and thirstier than a comparable outboard boat as well.
Thanks for the info! We didn’t know that. We aren’t too well versed in jet propulsion or their engines. We apologize. I have to do more research and get better so thanks for the info. 🛥️🤙🌊
Turns out that the Frontier and K2 boats are separate divisions of the same company. Is this true? No wonder the fit and finish were similar. Very interested in this two brands…
I didn’t know that! ALK reached out to us and they’re made up in Alabama but I thought frontier was made up in GA. I’ll have to check! Thanks for the info!🛥️🤙🌊
Depends on the skiff. If it’s got an agressive deadrise, it might do fairly well. I’ve been on 24 ft boats that ride worse than 20footers in mild chop.
Why don't most these boats have a garmin or fish finder of their choice in it. THat is baffeling and no rulers only on a couple of their coolers. That don't seem very fisherman friendly
I remember in the 70s, we would take a 18 foot trihull with extra tanks out to the Bahamas most weekends we could, no gps, no fish finder and we caught a ton of fish. A ton of fish and island hopping and we were drunk and high the whole time. We knew our way around. A few trips to Cuba and we did those at 12 knots in a 18 foot trihull. Anyways we used the moon as a guide.my point is the boat was average and cost me and my buddy 300 bucks and we stole a 100 hp engine at a swanky marina off a yacht tender. We were good to go. We would collect missing columbian goods from the water and sell it when we got home..
Massive amount of new en route and *YES THE CURRENT PLAYERS ARE WORRIED* as this is crazy high end advanced everything from brand new state of the art hulls from Axopar and Saxdor to brand new engines from Honda. Long $hmc Honda Motor Corporation strong buy. How Tesla will start impacting the US Boating market remains to be seen as well but The AI is not some turn of phrase like "bitcoin" or "non fungible tokens" so yes this Industry will be competing on price *AND VALUE* .... *ALWAYS* as these are *US DOLLARS NOT FRIGGIN MEXICAN PESOS OR RUSSIAN RUBLES.* 😊
The bayliner is straight trash for that price. maybe 40K tops after that shit they showed at a boat show. Then they mad at you lmao. I love that yamaha here we go to the next after the bayliner.
Sorry to hear about that Mike. That’s unacceptable from any company let alone Boston whaler with their history and reputation. Hopefully you get that resolved soon! If not, there’s some BW employees here in the comments you can write to who might be able to help.🛥️🤙🌊
Thanks for the video. But new boats are total waste of money. These companies charge far to much. And they do so because to many people will pay it. In reality none of these boats are under 60k. Buy a good used one and make the boat of your dream.
I'm sorry but these center console boats are all worthless unless you're a single guy who fishes alone. Just awkward, all of em. These manufactures have completely dropped the ball. Take regulator, if that made just a regular cabin cruiser with the 23 and 28, they would double their sales. Plus, all these outboards give a boat junky weight placement, these boats need inboard/outboards, plus they are cheaper to fix and bore and stroke on the v8's. These boats just don't make sense anymore. Ugly as hell
Wait! Wasn't that same, Carolina 21LS was $49k at 2023 show? I take it back, show was 6 months ago and same boat with umbrella chair was $41k. Wthl happened in 6 months!? 18k difference !?
Why don’t you do other kinds of boats? Why only mini fishing yachts? Do used boats also! So much more value in that side of the market right now. Lots of post Covid cooling off pricing.
We’ve done a “roadside deals” video and I’m almost done filming another. Might want to check that one out. There’s a lot to film and we don’t do TH-cam full time…Yet.
That AlK boat was the winner for sure 🏆

True on finish items, but you still have to start with a good hull.

how does it ride? cause the hull is a m hull right?
Great infor, greatly appreciated...quick question is there really a big difference between composite and fiberglass boats?

The fuel sender wire was hooked up already. I checked. No other boat at this show had wires like this or any wire disconnected from the fuel sender.

Are these boats safe to take out in the gulf and can you add plumbing for portable toilet for yamaha fsh. Love your channel
The Yamaha definitely is capable. TH-cam channel Out On The Reef uses to take his 19’ Yamaha to the Bahamas regularly! Thanks for watching! 🤙🌊🛥️
@@perfectfitboating can you add the plumbing for toilet after or would that cause issues and needs to be installed when boat is built.
@absolutecrypto95 you can always add that after. And you don’t even have to use plumbing. There are cassette toilets that don’t use plumbing at all!
The skiff has them cheap clips other than that I liked it a lot :)
great poop area for the skiff lol

Why don't most these boats have a garmin or fish finder of their choice in it. THat is baffeling and no rulers only on a couple of their coolers. That don't seem very fisherman friendly
