    Congrats on locating this dump!! Awesome! I only7 wish companies like the one who dumped here had recycled them. I guess back then they didn't. It would be a good project for a high school group to go in and carry out all of those broken ones to recycle them. A nice community project for Earth Day.

    I found a Coke bottle a couple weeks ago while metal detecting. (It was next to a large piece of metal). Bottled in Chattanooga. I took a closer look and noticed it reads "bottle pat'd nov 16 1915" Near the bottom reads "CHATT 23". Almost perfect, but has a small "lip chip". How old would that bottle be? I've never seen a patent date on them and I heard you mention "1915".

    I know I've told you this before, but you guys really got to try plastic diggers. You might think that a plastic diggers not going to work but I use them all the time and when you're on a bottle you can really dig at the bottle and around the bottle with a plastic Digger without scratching it breaking it. Just a little advice from a long time digger.

    • @adventurearchaeology
      @adventurearchaeology  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      We snap them lol. The roots are a bit too much for them to handle.

    • @MrMattchew77
      @MrMattchew77 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@adventurearchaeology sometimes I snap mine too. Maybe one out of five of them last for a good while. But you use your shovel and your diggers and then when you see a corner of a bottle or you feel a bottle you switch over to the plastic Digger then you can just kind of go crazy around that bottle and it won't scratch it or brake It. Again it's just a suggestion you know maybe keep one and when you come across the bottle and just try it out.

    • @MrMattchew77
      @MrMattchew77 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wish I could send you a couple of the videos that I made with New Years in a plastic digger the ground really hard where I did too and it still works out for me pretty well it takes a little bit longer to dig it out. I haven't posted any videos online but I have a few in my phone LOL.

      @MrMattchew77 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have learned a lot from watching you guys dig. I never used to use a shovel I used to dig 6 foot holes with a plastic digger taking many days.
