My grandfather was a huge coke collector and bottle digger I never got the chance to really pick his brain on the subject cuz I was young when he died. I can't stop watching your videos man you do a great job with them. Got a new sub today roack on man 🙏
Great bottles again haters hate just the way they are and your right there probably sitting on the couch complaining..thumbs up hope you guys can get back to the magnificent 7 now that its cooling down good luck thanks for another great video 💥💥💥
Your working at finding bottles, I’ve just recently subbed and have not heard any bragging from you. Keep searching you will find what’s out there. Catching up on past videos
Man, did not realize you were talking about a bottle from that title. All I could think was “oh no, dude though he was digging a trash mound and found a burial mound instead”. Glad to see I was wrong, and that big chief is awesome
I used to have loads of old bottles, and clay smoking pipes, that we dug up, besides beer bottles I had about 25 cobalt blue bottles which were really lovely, I'm nearly 70 now so not up to going digging so handed them down to my son, only recently I've come across your videos and enjoying them immensely, good work guys
You mention at 10:08 that Big Chief was replaced in 1930 by Dr. Pepper and Fanta. I have a question and a comment. In the first place, I have read in more than one place that the Fanta product line originated in Nazi Germany during WW II as a replacement for Coca Cola products, which were subject to the wartime embargo which barred shipment of American products to Germany. Second, Dr. Pepper has never been owned by Coca Cola. In 1998, the Coca Cola bottling Co. of New York reached an agreement to bottle Dr. Pepper's product, but that is as close as the two companies have ever come to joint owneership. Enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work!
Haters are gonna hate. Just ignore 'em and keep on doing what you do! I'm always on the hunt for cool bottles, and if an old girl like me can do it, anyone can! Congrats on that gorgeous bottle, Brandon! Love the video!
I can't believe that people think your bragging about your finds when you clearly are sharing information with your audience. Never once did I get that vibe of bragging from either of you. It's so obvious that it is envy and jealousy over your finds. What they don't realize, is their behavior is petty and immature. Their actions are that of ten-year-olds. Like you said Brandon you guys are always scouting out new dumpsites and sometimes digging all day. That is how you are able to find many of the bottles worth good money. I'm so happy you found that bottle. I know how you feel when you uncover a bottle worth a lot of money. Back in the summer of 2003, I was on a dig with my brother, who is much more versed in bottle history and dollar amounts than I when I uncovered a Mineral water bottle with "A.Schroth Sch,II Haven" in a deep navy (cobalt) blue color, about 6.5"-7" tall, pontil, and were produced between 1840-1860. I still have it and I saw one recently sold for $1875.00!! I'm waiting to sell it when/if it climbs to about $2000.00. I want to buy a wood lathe I've been drooling over. These rare bottles are money in the bank and like stocks you have to stay on top of prices so you can sell it at a price its worth. Congrats again Brandon, you deserve it.
I was a child in the 1960's in SE Louisiana. We tossed and sunk these coke bottles everywhere we went fishing, hunting and boating. I liked to fill the bottle with water and sink it in the bayou or lake. I did not like to leave them floating because they caused a safety issue when boats impacted them. I sunk hundreds and maybe over a thousand of these bottles myself in perfect condition. Occasionally we caught some of these old bottles in our Shrimp Trawl when shrimping in the 1990's.
Haters gonna hate, and there is nothing to do but keep doing. Don't try to please everyone (you can't). You guys are appreciated for sharing what you do. Look forward to every new video. Clayton, looking forward to your vids too! Thanks guys 👍👍
Haters gonna hate; just keep on , keeping on. Love to see an episode again of the rare bottles cleaned up. Congrats on the "money" bottle. Good for you guys!!
I remember doing this when I was a kid. We had old homesteads near my childhood home. We didn’t have a clue what we were digging then. Great content guys.
Sorry for the haters...you guys put in the time and effort and deserve what you've established...both the great reputation and fabulous luck. Effort and perseverance pay off. Appreciate the vids, must see viewing.
I love your videos. My husband and I dig in a spot that was a dump site in our town in the late 1800s and early 1900s. We find a lot of medicine type bottles. Deoderant, ink well bottles, and a Welch's junior juice bottle have been exciting finds lately. Barber dimes and indian head pennies have shown up too. We really are never sure what our finds are worth. We just really enjoy digging and the excitement of our finds. Thank you for sharing your finds.
If it weren't for you and others posting your digs and adventures, I would not have developed my love for finding history and learning - on top of that, I have been able to get my seven year old granddaughter into the hobby and she loves the videos as well. I found a Coke bottle in perfect condition and a old 7 oz Coors beer can that was never opened(still had beer in it) in a reservoir that was being drained in Colorado. Fun day
Correction... It was a 7 oz Coors beer can not 12! I had to look at it. I remember these cans when I was a little kid, the kind you needed a can opener to pop the top! Like I said it was never popped open! I imagine friends passing beers on the lake and Butterfingers dropped his pass sending the unopened beer to the lake!
