    I made the mistake of listening to to much David goggins and ran myself into the ground

      David Goggins is a ball of resentment. He does what he does but not intelligently.

      He says himself not to follow his methodology. He just follows an extreme version of discipline that is not needed for anyone (and himself) but he does it as a show of what a human is capable of doing if they put their mind to it. He hates running but he does it to the extreme (ultras). The principle behind him is mind over matter. You can definitely learn lessons from him over that principle, discipline and more that can be applied to your fitness goals or outside of fitness too. That's what he's trying to portray rather than actually following his fitness regime.
