      I can't believe there is so little video of the incident. There is the sketchy CCTV from some distance away and the rescue. There must have been lots of people with their camera phones to hand.

    I used to work at The Container Store in Houston when this happened. I remember a customer got a call from a family member saying that there was another terrorist attack and the plane was in the Hudson. Was so relieved when I got off my shift to find out that wasn't the case at all.

    I heard from one passenger interview that everyone rushed to the rear of the plane after it crash landed, only to exit in the on the wing section. That probably explains why the rear was underwater quickly.

      I believe that is the FDNY MCC (Mobile Command Center). It responds to major emergencies to act as a command center. If it isn’t that, then it might be the hazmat operations truck or the rebreather truck that has special oxygen tanks used for special emergencies.

    • @robser7538
      @robser7538 5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      LOBES because no one was expecting it to hit the water and do you know how fast a plane travels. Even if somebody had their phone out recording it, by the time it hit the water, the plane had passed their viewpoint.

      Even if you were literally right on the Hudson when it happened, you didn't know it was going to happen before hand. By the time you noticed a plane heading for the river it would have gone right past you and within seconds it's on the river. He was landing at 125 mph. Stand by the side of the freeway and watch cars go by at 60-80 mph. Try to get your phone out of your pocket and record a car you don't know is coming when you first see it. Now double the speed of that car.
      When Robin Roberts of ABC Good Morning America called 911, she was the second caller to 911 saying there was a plane on the Hudson. Now, for her to be in that position, her apartment is right on the Hudson river, on something like the 12th floor, and she said she was literally laying on her couch looking out the window when she saw the plane fly by. It was a split second, by the time she got up to go out to the balcony, see what happened to it, and call 911 it had already landed on the river.

      @@joe6096 The main reason is high engines are off thus the Just was a glider and basically silent, there is more footage of y Trade Center attacks due to the engines being on causing enough people to look up prior to impact.

    • @joe6096
      @joe6096 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ZeitGeist_TV There’s only exactly one piece of footage of the first plane into tower two as there were French filmmakers doing a documentary of the FDNY at the time, and they were filming them working on a gas leak a few blocks from the trade center when the plane hit. So he had his old fashioned film camera out and rolling when the plane flew over them and he naturally looked up with the camera. The other plane, into tower one, was caught by hundreds of thousands of people and cameras, simply because a plane had already hit tower two and they were filming it to begin with.

    Why are FIRE TRUCKS at the scene ????

    • @ds7900
      @ds7900 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Fire trucks are at the scene for many reasons:
      1.) In virtually every area in the world that has a fire brigade, firefighters are the first responders to mass casualty incidents. This was a mass casualty incident. Over 100 passengers and crew sustain injuries of varying degrees.
      2) Rescue operations of this magnitude require as much manpower as possible to assist with transporting patients off the boats safely, providing EMS assistance, and helping to make the scene secure from ice and other hazards.
      3.) Trucks establish command and critical communications to ensure things flow as smoothly as possible.
      4.) Trucks are equipped with heavy rescue apparatus, lighting, and other resources to help improve the scene safety and security.

    Proof that the human race is good despite everything we see on our daily news. When people are in trouble it doesn't matter who they are, where they hail from or the color of their skin the human race will ALWAYS RUN to their aid. People are good and anything you think otherwise just remember this day and even 9/11 when so many wonderful people jumped in to save complete strangers.
    God bless you all

    what's the point of all the fire trucks, it's not like they could have done anything

    • @jeepthing98
      @jeepthing98 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, fire fighters have equipment and training that can aid in treating victims with possible hypothermia or injuries until paramedics take over. In addition, if the plane managed to drift towards the docks they could use the ladder apparatus if needed. When you have a mainline jet with 135 people all of whom *could* have had some sort of injury, it is considered a major response situation.

      You do realize the heavy rescue trucks have inflatable boats that can take people from the docks to the plane right? Also the FDNY has rescue boats that can also do that. I don’t know one single fire department that only has water vehicles because most emergencies are on land.

    • @jeepthing98

    • @ds7900
      @ds7900 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Helicopters generate lots of propwash. The pilots had to get divers as close to the plane as possible. Most of the passengers were already being safely and quickly evacuated. The primary reason was to get the divers safely inserted into the water ASAP so they could check the aircraft for any remaining passengers since it was rapidly filling with water.
