If you were going for a boards of canada lofi sound with samples but also want the clean aphex sound what would you get the syntakt or digitakt? Or another DM I'm about to order something anyway so any info is helpful
I think the digitakt 2 js great as a sampler without diving into an MPC or something, and you can get very clean sounding one shots, but if I were doing any non-sample-based synthesis, I would have a synth for that. I like the digitakt a lot for drums and I mostly have it because I really like programming drums on the elektron sequencer.
Realizing I don’t hah, but I missed the Elektron sequencer. At the end of the day, I hate using samples, because there is way too much admin work required to keep a sample library up-to-date and organized. I’d probably enjoy a Syntakt more.
