Mr. C, if you move the bathroom door hinges to the other side of the doorway, it would open up that area and wouldn't have to walk around the door to enter the main space. Maybe I should watch to the end to see if you already had that idea.

That bathroom looks really spacious! It's difficult to recommend a colour. It depends which colour you want to paint the walls. I would choose something bright, like red or yellow for the accessories and towels to lift the mood in the morning! You can easily change the accessories after some time to change the colour.
It's going to look wonderful, I think I would put mirrors on the storage cupboards, extra light to bounce around, just a little thought, kind regards 🙂

Wow looks amazing....fabulous bargains with that lovely sink,and radiator....we are just finishing up with our utility room,and was looking for a nice radiator, but we had the one that was included free,but just a plain white. I know the excitement of looking at what's been accomplished that day. It's stressful but very rewarding,when you see the changes.

Wow; what a lovely renovation on your main bathroom. You have so much more useful storage without sacrificing any room - in fact your bathroom looks much larger than before the renovation (and I really like how you’ve hidden your washing machine in the cupboard). As for colour, I think that a nice, warm white would make the room feel large and airy and spa like. Something like a Benjamin Moore Dove White or Chantilly Lace; but whatever colour you choose, I know that with your fantastic sense of style, it will look wonderful.

Wow! You have truly maximized every square inch of a rather small bathroom. I also had a bathroom remodel 12 years ago and I still love what I was able to do. So enjoy your renovation videos. Get some grand ideas from the things you do.

They've done a good job with your bathroom, can't wait to see the finished look.
Maybe mirror the doors on the big cupboard next to the bath so that the cupboard disappears and makes the room seem bigger and light reflecting? And/ or mirror on the side by the door too? Panelling on the utility cupboard would look good too. I suppose as everything is light tiled, you could pick a strong accent colour as it could be easily changed? Perhaps mustard and navy? Would be nice to see some unusual handles or knobs as a feature? An ornate mirror? Whatever you decide, I know it will look fab! Soph.x
I can't believe you have had the same idea as us with the cupboard to put the cases in the bottom only ours us a bedroom alcove. Happy painting x
I would paint the walls and cupboards all the same color to minimize the cupboard size. I would do a "feature wall" of either a bright color or wallpaper behind the sink. It's really coming along, it's going to be gorgeous!
That sink is fabulous! I want two!
I would go with a light gray on the walls with a slightly darker gray on the cabinets. I would add some dark gray shag bathroom rugs, or maybe a pop of lemon yellow.

Your bathroom looks beautiful! I’d personally choose a neutral colour palette as it’ll be different to what you had before. Whatever you choose, it’s a can of paint and an afternoons work to change it if you don’t like the results! Laura xx
I would have a pale Green shade or pale Custard shade for the paintwork.I would check you can pull your washing machine out from the cupboard past the radiator.Bathroom is looking great!
I hope you left something under the floorboards for whoever replaces them in 50 years or so! The bathroom is looking really good--I love that sink with the built-in backsplash.
Gosh I don't know how I would decorate this room, hope you didn't choose gray. This sink is perfect. It all looks kinda stark, hope you have a terrific mirror.

Oh, I feel your pain…many years ago we had our kitchen, bathroom, en-suite and cloakroom all redone at the same time. It took 9 weeks because of similar issues…foot through our sitting room ceiling and leaks galore. Frankly, at the end I was just laughing most days at how ridiculous it all was. 😳🤣🧡💚

I love how the renovation is coming along have you thought about a pale lemony yellow for the walls and dark grey for the cupboards and skirting and wood work the grey you had before was really nice hope all goes to planxx
Looks so fresh already. Light and bright! Imo I would not add moulding to doors, they mimic the large format tiles being kept as is. Keeps it sleek and uncluttered. Again, imo. I am sure whatever you decide will be lovely!
I love the amount of storage you’ve managed to make in the bathroom. I’ve used French Cotton in my lounge which has a grey corner suite in it, had lots of positive comments, not an obvious grey and still light. Love your channel, found you at start of lockdown, and happy to see your career progressing so well. Can’t wait for Makeover Part 2.
BTW your choice of tile is stunning! I like that zen spa like feel around the tub, very calming. Which you’ll definitely take advantage of after this non stop plethora of fixes that keep popping up! Cheers! Spacious & lovely, cozy too!
That bathroom is looking nice so far 😍 I'm thinking a nice chilled spa/zen vibe with some earthy colours and a bit of greenery 😁
Oh Wow! it's like binge watching something with that bathroom!! I think it's all fab, coming along so nicely and with all that added storage without losing any of the space, very clever. As for paint colours, if it were me I'd keep it quite light so not to clash with anything. The rest of the colours like the tiles and the ceramics are all nutural colours, so something that will contrast it but not clash it, perhaps even white might work? Thanks for not making this a 30 episode series...you really could have with all of the updates! Because it really was and showed the Process of the actual, oops look the wall fell down but we'll muddle on, real job that comes with pulling out an older bathroom. You could have dined out on the thumbnail pic alone of the Ahhh disaster that was the leak, just as it was all coming together. No milking here x

Feel free to split these best parts up 😃😍👏👏👏 Iv only seen through here how hard youv worked but can only guess how much youv both sacrificed and saved to do these dream, beautiful, full on renovations to your home. It's a joy to watch and we are lucky for all the content that will come with getting your whole home back together when builders finally finish, cleaning and organising what will be a whole new home once yous live an then really get stuck into your basically new home Hats off, it's great getting it done but awful (first world problems)l living through it. Be worth every second before long . Can't wait xxxx

The main bathroom is looking fantastic Mr. C!! What an amazing amount of space you have to take up some slack from the lost loft storage~ I think the tiling on the side of the tall cupboard makes a very smart looking finished bath area. Can't wait to see the rest of your footage 💖 Joan
Wow it’s looking amazing Mr.C 🤩 I absolutely love the Victorian style sink it’s perfect , the moulding on the cupboards will finish them nicely , and I would paint them and the walls the same pale colour so it looks seamless X
Great to see the progress! Looking forward to seeing how you dress it!….building work never runs smoothly does it! I remember having our bathroom done and when they went to remove the tiles on wall between us and neighbour they fell off as the roof had been leaking behind so had to have whole new roof! 🥴xx
Everything is looking so nice! I'm sure it was disappointing when the leak happened but I guess it's better that it happens now instead of later. You are sure going to enjoy everything being finished in a little bit and I'm really enjoy getting some good decorating ideas from your videos. Good job!

Love, love, love the amount of storage you've managed to fit in to the bathroom but I hope, even with mould-free paint/plaster board that your suitcases don't get yeasty etc. It looks lovely.....just crossing my fingers it all works out in the long term. Thanks for the update Iwan xxx

Wonderful use of your space, Mr. C. I really enjoy your showing the progress in the day-by-day format -- and how calm you appear to be over the leak/roof delay. I would have been pounding my head on that lovely new tile around the tub!!! I agree with those who have suggested keeping the colors light and airy, and I also quite like the idea of a bold wallpaper on the wall to the left as you enter the room -- a small space that won't be too costly to change when you tire of it. Hey Iwan, lovely to see your ‘new’ bathroom taking shape! It’s looking good. Have you thought about rehanging the door? I believe it would give you more space, as when the door was fully open it would go against the wall?

Love the bathroom! Some excellent advice regarding the flooring prior to tiling. We made an error years ago of using marine ply, which we were told was the grade to use, over our floor boards and then tiling, they all cracked over the years. I'd say stay light and bright with your paintwork, can't wait to see the finished result.
OMG🤗😍😍 Mr.C...you've made a truly fab job of redesigning the space. what a big difference already!! Thank goodness you boxed the pipes in, I hate to see them too!! Everything is looking wonderful. How about a rich dark blue for the cupboards ( either full coverage or maybe a design' )?? I'd be tempted with something like Frenchic's Hornblower. Frenchic do the best colour chart out there, and their paint is phenomenal. Along with a more muted, natural colour for the walls. Are the handles going to be chrome to match the sink taps? It would look so luxurious, but that is only my opinion😊 I know most people would go with a light colour for the cupboards, but not moi 🤭😜 It's your bathroom my lovely, you decorate it as you both see fit🥰
Fantastic storage Mr C, its going to be a great looking bathroom. I would choose a light colour and paint everything in the same colour such as the cupboards as they are not the sort of thing you would make a feature of but to blend in instead it should then make the space feel bigger. Looking forward to the big reveal.

Looking Fantastic. You must be so pleased with it. I like that you put doors on your cupboards as initially I think you mentioned more open shelving which is not the greatest idea in a bathroom but those cupboards are a sensational size and just add so much storage. Can't wait to see the finished result.

Hi lovely, just a suggestion, I've just done my bathroom, it's a marine theme, walls are aqua, I've got a large dolphin shaped mirror, I've upcycled my bathroom cabinet, shells from my travels, Bali, Florida, Portugal, Australia etc, on my windowledge. Xx

Morning from a rainy 🌧 very warm and muggy day here in Australia 🇦🇺 love the bathroom and can't wait to see the finished bathroom , the panelling is a fantastic idea and I'd go a nice grey and white walls but I love lighter colours with accent deeper colours😁🇦🇺🙋♀️

Bathroom looking beautiful!!! Love your choices! From mom of 6 experience in cleaning bathrooms, if you have a tile left from tub surround fit a piece over sink. You'd be surprised how wet and dirty that area gets! Clean up is a quick wipe down where as a wall not so much. Also too late now, but workers should really have stuffed a plastic bag in the sewer pipe. No smell no flies and no gas seeping in! I've got the palest of gray on my walls and it's just this side of white. A nice cool color which would work for keeping room bright and larger feeling than a warm color! Cannot wait to see it finished!
Hi Mr C , loving this update . All looks amazing . As for colours I'd keep light and airy in there . A white grey maybe , doors I'd go maybe a dark walnut colour would add warmth with out being black .. yet you chose what makes you happy ! Your style is 👌👌👌 XX ♥️
Wow! That’s major work! This video has been so helpful, as we are just at the planning stage of doing our bathroom! Dove grey seems to be the latest colour for bathrooms apparently:) (on the walls). I love the amount of storage space you’ve now got, we don’t have any in the bathroom. I’m sorry you had issues but I’m glad they’re now rectified, and hopefully it’s all plain sailing for here!

I think duck egg blue would look lovely on the walls and an off white for the cupboards.

It's starting all to come together now Iwan and will look great when it's finished. I thought you might have a problem with the bathroom door near the top of the stairs I had the same problem ,the door has to be 36 inches from the top of the stairs. Maybe the bathroom would be more open if the door was changed to open towards the wall and i love the light colour tiles it looks so much bigger now. I can't wait to see it all done.
